Kahn Automobiles is back with another customized creation - this time it’s the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. The automaker’s pickup truck attempt wasn’t very successful, but mods like this make the truck look desirable.

The X-Class by Kahn Automobiles has been customized aesthetically and doesn’t receive any mechanical changes. The company claims that the ethos behind the truck is ‘catwalk chic’ (whatever that is), but the end result looks pretty neat.

What’s Special About This Truck?

On the outside, the truck comes equipped with a GT grille that wears the Mercedes logo. The signature Mercedes headlights are left alone. While the bumper isn’t wildly different from the stock one, it does feature vents. The round fog lights are wrapped around black plastic cladding. The hood is vented as well to add to the muscularity of the truck.

Although they look good and not out of place on the truck, for some reason the combination looks a little off. But, looks are subjective, so we’ll leave it to that. There’s thick cladding on the doors, that doubles up as protection, and it complements the cladding on the ‘Forrest Wide Arches’ over the wheels.

Kahn has installed a steel bumper here, which is the only bling on the truck other than door handles and logos. Tinted privacy glass is also present there. Overall, the red truck certainly looks far from stock and will draw attention on the road. The company also notes that this is the last red X350 to be delivered in England.

Inside the cabin, the X-Class is reupholstered in quilted soft leather with contrast stitching. Even the door panels, gear selector, center armrest, dashboard, and door armrests are reupholstered and embossed with Kahn seat studs. If this isn’t to your taste, the company says you can get it done your way. Of course, that will add to the cost of the truck, but at least you can choose to mod it to your liking. There’s handcrafted seats, cashmere interior trims, etc. to choose from.

Here are some of the standard features in the X-Class:

- Satellite Navigation

- Style Pack

- Tire Pressure Monitoring System

- Winter Pack

- Heated Seats

- LED headlamps

- Cruise Control

- Trip Computer specification

- Electric Seats

- Auto Headlights and Wipers

- Eight-speaker Audio System

- DAB Radio

What’s Under The Hood?

This particular Mercedes-Benz X-Class is the top 350d trim that comes packed with a 3.0-liter, V-6 mill under the hood. Since there are no changes made by Kahn, it continues to dish out 258 ponies and 406 pound-feet of torque.

Power is sent to all the wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The truck takes 7.9 seconds to hit 62 mph mark from a standstill and has a top speed of 127 mph. It can tow up to 7,716 pounds and haul up to 2,352 pounds in this trim.

Final Thoughts

The truck can be customized as per your needs, including getting a bulletproof treatment done to it. This example is a 2020 model and has 101 miles on the odometer. Yes, it is pre-worshipped and you will be the second owner.

Kahn is charging £59,999 for this build, which is approximately $77,600 as per the exchange rates at the time of penning down this article. Kahn has stressed on the fact that this truck will hold its value, but that’s something to ponder about a few years down the line.
