Everyone knows that AMG stands for performance. If you hear that someone drives an AMG model you automatically think about power and speed. But more power is both possible and more than welcome, so this is where the tuners came in. Manhart for example is offering a new tuning kit for the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S Coupe. It will be called GLR 700 and will be limited to only ten units, but there's something very special about those 10 units.

What changes were made under the hood?

In standard form the GLC 63 S Coupe is powered by a 4.0-liter Biturbo V-8 engine that delivers a total of 510 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

With a few updates, though, Manhart was able to generate an extra 200 horsepower from the V-8 engine. And when we say "a few updates" we actually mean a lot of updates! They include an ECU software remap, a turbo upgrade, a matching intercooler upgrade, a carbon intake, and MANHART sports downpipes with 300-cell cats.

There are no words on the performance figures just yet but for sure they will be a big improvement over the standard figures: 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

Next to the power upgrade, the transmission also receives an upgrade and the standard air suspension was revised so now the car is 30 mm (1.18 inches) lower.

What other updates are being offered?

If you are familiar with Manhart's work you will immediately recognize its design language on this car. The GLR 700 wears black paintwork with gold trim stripes and lettering spread around the body. The Panamericana radiator grille is also painted black.

They wear a satin black finish with gold rim decoration.

The interior follows the same idea: black leather upholstery perfectly matches with those gold accents and the Alcantara headliner.
