AMG continues the celebration of its 55th anniversary with a new "Edition 55" model. Back in March, we saw the launch of the AMG G 63 "Edition 55", and a month later, the company announced the new AMG A 35 "Edition 55".
In Europe, the "Edition 55" equipment package will be priced from €12,614 - or about $13,700 at the current exchange rates. The anniversary models can be ordered starting now until November 2022.

What makes the 2022 Mercedes-AMG A 35 "Edition 55" special?
First of all, the A35 Edition 55 comes equipped with the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which includes a front apron with an enlarged front splitter and additional flics, an AMG rear wing, a side spoiler lips on the rear apron's optical air outlets, and the Blade diffuser. Finished in high-gloss black, all these elements will create a very cool contrast with the rest of the body.
Just like the AMG G 63 "Edition 55", the new AMG A 35 "Edition 55" will be offered with AMG Night Package and the AMG Night package II as standard. These two packages will apply a high-gloss black finish to select exterior elements, including the louvers in the outer air intakes, the inserts in the AMG side sill trims, the side sill trim strip, the window line trim strip, and the exterior mirror housings. The grille and the type badges on the boot lid and wings are also finished in high-gloss black.
The last element of the package is a special set of 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels.
On the interior, the treatment applied is again similar to what we have seen in the G63 AMG model: a combination of contrasting black and red. The seats are covered in a two-tone classic red/black leather, while the steering wheel has been wrapped in DINAMICA microfiber with an "Edition 55" badge and a black 12 o'clock marking. The door sills also get red illuminated AMG lettering, while the black AMG floor mats made from high-quality velour feature red contrasting stitching and "Edition 55" lettering woven in red. The final touch is a series of AMG brushed aluminum trim elements applied to the "Edition 55" design and the AMG logo.
