2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Night Edition
The ’Night Edition’ gives the E-Class a very mean appearance
by Alina Moore, onMercedes-Benz is not the only automaker out there to offer a Night Edition package. In fact, this has been quite a popular name among the special editions lately. For example, Hyundai is offering a Sonata N Line Night Edition, while Ram added the same name to its 1500 and Heavy Duty models.
However, the name has the longest history in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. It has even been offered for models like the Maybach S 650. But, the latest addition is for the E-Class lineup, including coupe, cabrio, sedan, and station wagon, with the exception of the AMG models.

What makes the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Night Edition special?
The new "Night Edition" models are built on the AMG Line and Night Package. While the package can be combined with any Mercedes-Benz paint finish, it will be distinguished by a few special features. The model equipped with the Night Edition package will feature a diamond grille with pins in black, the "Night Edition" badge on the wing, black exhaust tailpipe trim elements, and AMG light-alloy wheels in high-gloss black. Also, the sedan and station wagon versions will get the boot lid trim finished in high-gloss black.
For the interior it will all start with an AMG Line package and a black roof liner, but, just like with the exterior, there will be some distinctive elements. As standard, the interior will be trimmed in a combination of ARTICO man-made leather and DINAMICA microfiber, but leather and Nappa leather upholstery will be offered as an option. The instrument panel is also finished in ARTICO man-made leather, while the center console is made out of open-pore black ash wood. There are also several dark aluminum elements, and of course, the "Night Edition" badge made of polished aluminum with lettering in high-gloss black. The same "Night Edition" is embroidered on the front seats and the floor mats.
Depending on the body style, the new Night Edition package is priced from €5,295.50 to €9222.50 (or about $5,600 to $9,750 at the current exchange rates). The coupe and cabrio versions are now on sale, whereas the sedan and station wagon versions will go on sale starting May 17, 2022.
