Top 10 EVs With The Longest Range In 2022
EVs have dawned upon us and have become competent mainstream alternatives to cars with internal combustion engines in the last few years. While their performance was never in doubt, available range has led to some pretty extreme anxiety. The range was one of the major reasons why most folks were skeptical about switching to green cars. But, things are quite different now. Technology is getting better every single day and automakers are able to improve the range of cars like never before. Gone are the days when achieving even 400 miles of range was a distant dream. Today, cars like Lucid Air offer more than 500 miles of range and Tesla more than 400 miles. Concept cars like the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX claim to offer over 600 miles of range. It won’t be too long before that becomes a reality, too. For now, here is a list of EVs that offer the best range in 2022.
The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Concept Breaks Cover With a 620-Mile Range!
Mercedes has been mighty active when it comes to electrification. Back in September 2021, the automaker revealed five new vehicles in one auto show – the EQE sedan, the EQB crossover, the EQG Concept, the Maybach EQS SUV, and the AMG EQS. That hasn’t stopped the automaker. Fast forward to the present day, the German automaker has unveiled the Vision EQXX Concept, a vehicle it teased back in July last year. The highlight of the car is the range – 620 miles or 1,000 kilometers. Does it have your attention now?
The Mercedes-Benz EQS Apparently Has Better Real-World Range Than The Tesla Model S
The Tesla Model S might be grabbing most of the headlines in the world of electric vehicles (EV), especially the Plaid model and its wicked acceleration times, but the Mercedes-Benz EQS beats its Tesla rival in what is arguably the most important aspect electric mobility: range.
2023 Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+
Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQS earlier this year. This electric S-Class equivalent came with a whole lot of impressive specs and features that put it right on top of the EQ hierarchy. To elevate it to the next level, the German automaker introduced the AMG variant of the EQS called the EQS 53 4MATIC+ that comes with a lot more power and a few other mechanical upgrades. While it’s still not Tesla Model S Plaid-level performance, specs like 750+ horses will surely pull a lot of potential customers.
Mercedes EQS OTA Updates – Literally Everything That Is Wrong With Cars of the Future
Not that long ago, the concept of over-the-air updates for cars sounded pretty cool – who wouldn’t want to have the latest and greatest software? It works great for cell phones, right? Well, when it comes to cars, automakers see it as a way of extorting more money out of you, and the new Mercedes EQS is, quite literally, the epitome of that. After paying six figures for a luxury car, should you have to pay another $105 to play Tetris? Or, should you have to pay another $59 for a simple update that makes the car more gentle to drive? Maybe a little more to make sure some Valet can’t go to fast in your new pride and joy? Well, this is the future, it’s only going to get more expensive, and the Mercedes EQS is the epitome of what’s wrong with the future of the automotive industry.
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS - The Important Things You Need To Know
Mercedes-Benz has taken the covers off its first luxury electric sedan, the EQS. The EQS is built on an all-new architecture and follows the design philosophy of the other EQ products. It comes with a lot of breathtaking stuff that leaves a lasting impression. To give you a peek of what to expect, the car comes with a 478-mile range, the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system in the top trim, and a massive 56-inch Hyperscreen inside the cabin! Oh, and did I mention that it is also officially the world’s most aero-efficient car?
2021 Mercedes-Benz EQA - Quick Review
First was the EQC and now Mercedes-Benz is writing another file in its all-electric history with the GLAbased EQA. At some point in the future, the Germans will release an EV version of the S-Class, dubbed EQS. Until that happens, let’s take a closer look at the EQA.
2021 Mercedes-Benz EQA
After launching the rather expensive EQC, Mercedes has now come up with a slightly more affordable EV that could be a game-changer for the brand. Called the EQA, it is essentially a GLA that comes with some cosmetic changes and of course, a heart transplant. Interestingly, Mercedes has used a different approach for this car.
The EQA isn’t a wild-looking electric vehicle with radical styling cues and neither is it a rocket off the line, which seems to be the norm in the segment. Not everyone likes to take off the moment you press the A-pedal, after all. So, if the quick, push-you-back-in-the-seat cars are not your thing, here’s a refreshing electric vehicle that will make you smile and let you drive it calmly.
The Mercedes EQS Could Eat The Tesla Model S with 435 Miles of Electric Range
Mercedes isn’t holding back with its EQ lineup of electric vehicles. The EQC compact electric SUV is so close to hitting the market you can practically smell the odor of new electric motor. The EQS – basically an electric S-Class — is set to come to the market soon too, after being previewed in 2019 as the Vision EQS Concept We learned earlier in 2000 that AMG would build an S65 equivalent, and now we’re learning that the EQS in base form will walk all over the Tesla Model S in terms of range. If you weren’t into electric cars before, now’s probably the time to start paying attention.
2019 Mercedes-Benz EQC
The Mercedes-Benz EQC is the company’s first all-electric crossover. Previewed by a concept car shown at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the EQC made its debut two years later. Aimed at competitor like the Jaguar I-Pace, Tesla Model X, and the upcoming BMW iX3, the EQC is also Mercedes’ first car under the EQ brand.
Unveiled in Stockholm, Sweden on September 4, the EQC will make its auto show debut in Paris in early October. Under development for many years, the EQC is the result of Mercedes’ commitment to launch a full lineup of all-electric vehicles under the EQ brand, which stands for "electric intelligence." Although similar in size to the GLC, the EQC rides on a brand-new platform and sports a design of its own. It also debuts the company’s new-generation battery and electric motor assembly. Let’s find out more about it in the review below.

Best Used 2016 SUV for Fuel Economy
The market trend is quickly shifting from sedans to crossovers and SUVs. However, SUVs have two major cons when compared to their segment counterparts - high retail price and poor fuel economy. Even though they are a practical choice thanks to additional cabin and cargo space, it’s a little difficult for everyone to afford an SUV. So why not go for a used SUV instead? You don’t take the depreciation hit that first owner does, and since SUVs are built to last a lifetime, you can get an almost-new SUV at half the original price.
Now that we’ve planted this seed in your head, let’s have a look at the best used SUVs from 2016 with high fuel efficiency.
The Mercedes EQC Makes a Quiet Debut with 200 Miles of Range, 402 Horsepower, and the Ability to Hit 60 in 4.9 Seconds
Mercedes-Benz is really ramping up its all-electric game as of late, debuting concepts like the EQ Silver Arrow at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, plus the Generation EQ Concept at the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
