The Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture Concept Previews a New, Ultra-Luxurious S-Class
When you say “Mercedes-Maybach” you automatically think about luxury and opulence. However, even with the Maybach treatment, the S-Class is still not a worthy competitor for cars like the Rolls Royce Phantom or Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner. However, that could change when this new Concept goes into production.
During the latest Design Essentials event that took place in Nice, France, Mercedes-Maybach displayed the Haute Voiture – a close-to-production concept inspired by haute couture that previews a very luxurious S-Class set to arrive in 2023 as a limited edition.
2022 The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance F1 Edition Represents $25,000 Worth of Appearance Upgrades
We thought the AMG GT 63S E-Performance couldn’t be upgraded any further, but Mercedes just proved us wrong - at least when it comes to aesthetics. This year AMG celebrates its 55th anniversary and we’ve already seen a lot of special models designed especially for the event. After several AMG 55 editions – including the ones based on the A35, CLA 45 and G63, Mercedes announced the AMG GT 63S E-Performance equipped with the "F1 Edition" package. The model is now available for order and in Europe, the price of the F1 Edition package is €23,800 (roughly $25,000 at the current exchange rates).
2022 Brabus 900 XLP "One Of Ten" - An AMG G63 That Pushes the Boundaries of Sanity
If the XLP name sounds familiar to you it is because just recently Brabus announced two 800 Adventure XLP packages: one Superblack and one Superwhite. Both are based on the G63 AMG, both deliver 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, and both are priced at way over €700,000.
Now the XLP name is back as part of a new 900 XLP "One of ten" package, still based on the G63 AMG, but this time the output goes up to an even more impressive 900 horsepower!
Spy Shots: An Early Look at the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT E-Performance PHEV
We already knew that the next generation AMG GT will bring major changes. First, it will only be offered as a coupe - as the Roadster will be replaced by the new SL, and second, following the footsteps of the SL, it will initially be offered in two versions: GT53 and GT63 - both of which have already been caught testing. A more powerful version will also be offered, however, and just like with the SL, this range-topping plug-in hybrid will wear the E-Performance badge.
At $142 Million, The Mercedes "Silver Arrow" Could Be The Most Expensive Classic Car In the World
It is a well-established fact that for the longest time, the highly coveted title of the world’s most expensive car was held by a 1964 Tour de France winning Ferrari 250 GTO which fetched $70 million at a private auction. But, all this while, the 1955 Mercedes 300SLR, which currently is a part of Mercedes’s heritage fleet, was valued at over $100 million. However, it was never active in the running for the title of the world’s most expensive car because nobody would have put their money on Mercedes parting ways with the car that not only cemented the auto marque’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship, but even birthed the German automaker’s racing endeavors in the post-war era.
2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 "Edition 55"
Mercedes marks AMG’s 55th birthday with the launch of a series of "Edition 55" special editions. After the release of the AMG A 35 "Edition 55" and the G 63 "Edition 55", the company has now announced the CLA 45 "Edition 55."
The model is available to order now until December 2022, and the equipment package will be priced from €12,614 for the S versions and from €14,280 for the base CLA 45.
Mercedes-Benz C112 - An Abandoned Technological Miracle
The long history of Mercedes-Benz spawned plenty of amazing projects, many of which resulted in some of the greatest road-going and racing vehicles, we have ever seen. You only need to look at cars like the 300SL, 300SLR, CLK GTR, SLR McLaren, and others. There are, however, many cars that never saw the light of day. Among the most obscure projects to come out from Mercedes-Benz’s test facilities is the 1991 Mercedes C112. It had the potential to be the most ground-breaking sports car of the 1990s, but sadly, Mercedes decided not to make it.
2022 Mansory Gronos EVO S P900
Mansory has a very long history of updating the Mercedes-AMG G63. Just recently, the tuner unveiled two special editions built for the Chinese and the UAE markets. And, because the Middle East is such a big fan of big, luxury, flashy cars, Mansory announced a new special edition built exclusively for them.
If the name sounds familiar - Gronos EVO S P900 - it is because the tuner offered a car with a similar name back in 2021.
2022 Mercedes-AMG GT R By BS Teile Center
Who said only tuners can work on updating sports cars? Take BS Teile Center, for example. Its origins are rooted in selling used Mercedes-Benz parts, but this didn’t stop it from creating the perfect AMG GT R. And, it did this just by using original parts from model variants with superior features and drive systems.
The 15 Most Practical High-Performance Sports Cars You Can Buy In 2022
Practicality is, often, an afterthought when it comes to high-performance sports cars. If you are on the market for one, there’s a good chance that practicality is not among your top priorities or that you have another, more practical vehicle. With that said, not all sports cars are made equal, with some of them being surprisingly practical. Here are 15 sports cars that are more usable than you might think.
2022 Brabus Crawler
Summer is just around the corner and all we can think about is outdoor fun. The problem is that there are not many fun buggies out there. The good news is that, like usual, Brabus has our back: the tuner has come up with a hardcore buggy based on the Mercedes-AMG G63.
Limited to only 15 examples, the new Brabus Crawler is priced at €749,000 (almost $800,000 at the current exchange rates). Brabus will build five copies in 2022, five in 2023, and the final five in 2024. Unfortunately, the buggy is not street legal.
