What’s Special About The G-Class Carbon Wide Track Edition

The SUV is finished in a Classic Grey exterior shade. Kahn Automobiles has equipped seven additional items, to be precise. These include:

-* Carbon fiber lower bumper spoiler

-* Carbon fiber front grille

-* Carbon fiber wheel arches

-* Carbon fiber bonnet overlay

-* Rear roof spoiler

-* Roof shield

The final addition is the 23-inch Kahn Type 57 Monoblock forged wheels. These are wrapped in 295/35 section Continental tires. An exhaust system with 100 mm tailpipes is also equipped here.

On the inside, the SUV is draped in Bengal red upholstery. This is an optional item from Mercedes itself and is not a Kahn special. This particular G-Class also comes with many other optional extras from the factory, like the sliding sunroof, black piano trim, AMG night pack, etc.

The other niceties on this G-Class include:

-* LED headlights

-* Rearview camera

-* Dual-zone climate control

-* Heated seats

-* Satellite navigation with Apple CarPlay

The SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter, bi-turbo V-8 engine that makes 577 horses and 627 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic SpeedShift gearbox. It takes 4.5 seconds to sprint to 62 mph from rest and has a top speed of 137 mph (220 kmph).

How Much Does It Cost?

This G-Class has had one owner previously who clocked 401 miles in it. Kahn Automobiles is asking £224,999 for it, which is approximately $309,500 as per the exchange rates at the time of penning this piece.

Conclusion

The pricing is a little too steep considering that a brand new 2021 Mercedes-AMG G63 starts at $156,450 in the U.S. But, let’s not forget it comes with oodles of carbon fiber all around and also optional accessories from the factory. Not to mention, since it’s a U.K.-based SUV, it is a right-hand-drive configuration.
