This year, the two companies took things even further and came up with the Brabus 800. As you guessed, this is also an updated G63, but with 800 horsepower under the hood.
2022 Mercedes EQG Concept
Mercedes went on an electrification spree at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Germany. One of the cars unveiled here was the EQG, the EQ electric equivalent of the legendary G-Class SUV, or more popularly known as the G-Wagen. The off-roader is one of the most iconic models ever built and is still going strong despite its boxy and old-school demeanor. In fact, that is the one thing that’s still attracting purists.
The company showcased the EQG Concept that follows a similar path, but with a lot of new tech. This is said to be a near-production concept, so we can expect the real deal to be revealed by next year, perhaps.
With The New Off-Road Trim, Mercedes G-Wagon Returns To Its Military Roots
The Mercedes G-Wagon is one of Mercedes’ signature vehicles. None of the other German premium carmakers have an analog to it. For decades the Mercedes G-Wagon has been every rich person’s favorite way of giving the middle finger to all “plebians mopping around in a Corolla or an Elantra”. The boxy SUV has been interpreted by many tuners, such as BRABUS, MANSORY, and others, giving it an aggressive design, and making it appealing to people like celebrities and drug dealers.
However, the boxy SUV has much humbler beginnings, as it was originally developed as a military vehicle. It seems Mercedes remembered that and decided to give us a G-Wagon that doesn’t mind getting dirty.

2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain
We already know that for 2022, the Mercedes C-Class will be offered as an All-Terrain model. Recently, a camouflaged prototype was spotted testing and, while the only thing we see is that the car will sit higher than the standard model, we have it on good authority that it will feature substantial improvements to make it more capable on harsher terrains. .
Battle of the Mercedes-AMG SUVs: Watch The V-12 G65 Take On The V-8 G63 On A Drag Strip
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is quite popular, but the G65, not so much. The automaker discontinued it in 2018, but offered 65 examples as part of the farewell ‘Final Edition’ before drawing the curtains on it. The folks at ArabGT managed to lay their hands on one of these 65 examples and pit it against the G63 Edition 1. Well, this is probably one battle that every G-Class enthusiast has always wanted. Do you think the G65, with its mighty 12-pot mill, can beat the eight-cylinder G63?
1990 Mercedes 250GD Wolf by Expedition Motor Company
The G-Wagen started life being a military truck and was later offered to us civilians as a hardcore off-roader that was matched by vehicles like the Land Rover and the Land Cruiser. The G-Wagen that we know today is fast and powerful, but back in its early days, it was brute and tough. Expedition Motor Company got hold of a 1990 250GD and restored it to perfection. As the company puts it, this is the story of how a rough ex-military war machine becomes a work of art.
2020 Mercedes-Benz X-Class By Kahn Automobiles
Kahn Automobiles is back with another customized creation - this time it’s the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. The automaker’s pickup truck attempt wasn’t very successful, but mods like this make the truck look desirable.
The X-Class by Kahn Automobiles has been customized aesthetically and doesn’t receive any mechanical changes. The company claims that the ethos behind the truck is ‘catwalk chic’ (whatever that is), but the end result looks pretty neat.
2021 Mercedes-Benz G-Class 4X4
The Mercedes G-Class is arguably one of the best off-roaders to have graced our planet. Over the years, the company has equipped it with a premium interior and an exorbitant price tag, but it is still regarded as a hardcore off-roader and has a strong footing in the segment despite heavy competition. To further cement this perception, Mercedes created a hardcore version of the already-competent G-Class called the G-Class 4x4. The previous model’s production ended in 2017, but it looks like the monster is back.
The new G-Class 4x4 was spied undergoing high-altitude testing in the Alps and it looked a lot bulkier and monstrous than its normal self – especially the wheel arches – thus reigniting the news of the 4x4 making a comeback. Are we excited? Hell yeah!
