Marshall Amplification was founded back in 1962, so 2022 will mark the company's 60th anniversary. But, what does this have to do with cars, you as?. Well, nothing at first, but David Brown Automotive decided to create a unique Mini Remastered to mark the event.

The special edition will feature a few unique design features, but most importantly a unique set of styling and audio equipment features, developed in collaboration between the two British brands.

What makes the 2022 Mini Remastered Marshall Edition special?

The special edition will wear a unique "Marshall Black" finish combined with a dark-chrome brightwork and a hand-painted yellow coachline. The same yellow color has been used for the Marshall logo placed on the side doors and the pinstripes.

Up front, the grille has been redesigned and it looks just like the front of Marshall’s audio equipment. It is finished in a very cool-looking gleaming gold - a color long synonymous with the Marshall brand.

The car rides on a special set of ‘Classic’ 12-inch wheels, capped off with Marshall ‘M’ logo centers, and finished in the same gold paint as the grille. The brake calipers are also offered in the same ‘Marshall Gold’ finish.

The interior continues with the same black and gold theme as the exterior. The seats are hand-trimmed in exquisite black leather and they feature the Marshall logo embroidered on the headrest. A contrasting gold finish was used for the dashboard center, the switchgear, the control panel, the handbrake grip, the sculptural side door panel blades, and the gleaming door releases.

The car's pedals are also unique. They are not only finished in a cool gold paint, but they also feature specially engraved ‘skip track’, ‘pause’, and ‘play’ motifs.

And, of course, since we are looking at a Marshall special edition, the sound system had to be unique. The in-car sound system features new dashtop-mounted tweeters, additional speakers in the doors, and upgraded equipment fitted to the rear parcel shelf. The luggage compartment gets a fully-integrated Marshall DSL1 Combo amplifier and a powerful Marshall ‘Emberton’ portable Bluetooth speaker.

No changes were made under the hood, so the Marshall edition gets the same 1,330cc A-series engine that delivers a total of 83 horsepower and 98 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and sends the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 8.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 90 mph.

Just like the previously announced Oselli Edition, the new Marshall edition will be limited to only 60 units, offered in both, right and left-hand drive configurations.
