Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 29km/h into a rigid pole.
Euro NCAP | Nissan Qashqai | 2014 | AEB Test
Video of the AEB tests on the Nissan Qashqai carried out by Euro NCAP in 2014. The Qashqai is equipped with an autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system which is
optional. Its high-speed, inter-urban functionality performed adequately.
For AEB Inter-Urban systems, Euro NCAP evaluates the automatic brake function and the forward collision warning function in 3 different driving scenarios: Driving towards a stationary vehicle (30-80km/h); closing in at a slower vehicle in front (30-80km/h) and following a car in front which suddenly starts braking (50km/h, gentle and harsh braking).
