Nissan’s Color Studio customization program for the Juke has been live since 2014. When it was first launched at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, Nissan envisioned it to be a tool owners of the Juke could use in bringing a personalized flavor to their funky crossovers, for an added cost, of course. It was, and continues to be, a great way for owners to essentially dress up their Jukes in the manner they see fit. Now, Nissan is once again putting the Color Studio directly under the spotlight with the launch of a pair of limited edition Juke models, both dressed to the nines to once again highlight the enormous customization possibilities tied

Called the Juke Stinger Editions, the pair of Jukes are dressed in the two colors - yellow and black - that Nissan North America Vice President Pierre Loing says are the company’s two most popular colors. Playing around with these two shades, the Color Studio managed to create unique identities on the two Stinger Edition Juke models. One has a yellow body with black trim while the other - the one I like more - has a black body with matching yellow trim.

The Juke Stinger Editions are just two of the many personalization examples available with the Color Studio. You don’t even have to pick these two colors; you can choose from a variety of other colors that suit your taste and preference. But, as far as the Juke Stinger Editions are concerned, Nissan isn’t planning to offer these specific options on a limited basis. If any of the two suit your style, it might be best to let Nissan know about it as soon as possible. Otherwise, you can just head to the Color Studio website and work on your own personalization program for your Juke.

What makes the Nissan JUKE "Stinger Edition by Color Studio" special

Nissan’s Color Studio gives owners a chance to personalize their cars. The two Stinger Edition Jukes give us a clear idea on the breadth of customization options available for Nissan’s quirky little crossover. To illustrate the Color Studio’s versatility, Nissan used two of its most popular colors - yellow and black - to create a contrasting two-tone paint finish.

One version of the Juke Color Studio features a black body finish with yellow accents on the front and rear bumpers, door handles, rear spoiler, and the outside mirrors. The other version of the Juke Color Studio does it in an opposite manner with the body painted in yellow and the accents dressed up in black. Both options do come with black-painted 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

Moving inside, the yellow-and-black treatment continues with a yellow-splashed center console, power window switch plates, air vent rings, shift knob accent, and steering wheel stitching. Conversely, the seats are all dressed up in black with matching yellow accents and stitching. The same two-tone finish can also be seen on the cloth door trim inserts.

The two special edition Jukes illustrate a small example of what interested customers can do to the crossover should they avail of the Color Studio option. As it stands, the Juke Color Studio includes a palette of colors made up of Red, Yellow, Orange, White, Matte Black, Electric Blue, Black Purple, and Carbon Fiber. The studio also features plenty of add-on accessories, including a hatch handle finisher, lower hatch accent, side door sills, headlight trim rings, floor mats, and yellow center wheel caps.

That said, don’t expect to see any powertrain improvements because that’s not in the job description of the Color Studio. Anybody who avails of the Juke Color Studio option should expect to add another $990 on top of the price of the crossover. The Juke SV with front-wheel-drive capability, for instance, has a price of $22,300 while the all-whee-drive model carries a sticker price of $24,150. Should anybody be interested in availing this option, it’s imperative that he acts quickly because Nissan’s only releasing the option in a limited capacity.

The boldly styled Nissan JUKE is a vehicle that is hard to ignore. A true sport cross in a segment of lookalike compact crossovers, JUKE stands out with its unique exterior and interior design. For the 2015 model year Nissan introduced “Color Studio,” a program that allows owners to personalize their vehicles through thousands of combinations of special color accessories – including wheels, spoiler, door handles, mirrors and interior accents. The program has been so successful that Color Studio is now expanding to include the popular Versa Note.

The Stinger Edition option package has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (M.S.R.P.)* of $990 USD. The 2016 JUKE SV is priced at $22,300 USD for the front-wheel drive model and $24,150 USD for the all-wheel drive model.

“With limited production of the 2016 JUKE Stinger Editions by Color Studio, we expect them to sell quickly,” added Loing. “JUKE buyers are not afraid of standing out and these two Stinger Editions are about as bold as you can go.”
