The Nissan GT-R is one of the few constants in the landscape of modern supercars. Having been in production for a whopping 13 years, you’d be forgiven if you no longer give a GT-R a second look when spotting one on the street but that’s not the case with this particular R35.
With 4.7 inches of extra ground clearance, huge off-road tires, fog lights, and a roof rack, this Godzilla is one of the craziest road-legal GT-Rs in Europe and one that really puts the car’s AWD system to the test. Yes, this is a GT-R that’s ready to go off the beaten path.
2018 Nissan Kicks Sound Machine
The Nissan Kicks will be in attendance at the 2018 SEMA Auto Show, except that it’s not actually the Kicks in the traditional sense. The SEMA-bound Kicks also goes by the name “Sound Machine” for reasons that are pretty obvious if you’ve seen what it looks like. The Kicks Sound Machine is a DJ booth on four wheels that Nissan created with the help of Hollywood-based Vehicle Effects. The vehicle made its debut at the 2018 BET Awards back in July, but those attending SEMA will get to see it for the first time, including the bazillion speakers it has at its disposal.
2018 Nissan Red Cross Ultimate Service Titan
Days after Land Rover showcased a one-off Discovery Sport that was developed specifically for the Austrian Red Cross, Nissan is doing the same for the American Red Cross with the introduction of the Ultimate Service Titan. As its name implies, the Ultimate Service Titan isn’t your typical Nissan Titan pickup. It’s a mobile command center that’s developed to respond to disasters and emergencies without breaking stride. The Nissan Ultimate Service Titan is the latest manifestation of a partnership between Nissan and the American Red Cross, one that, in the last five years alone, has raised $2.5 million in donations for the Red Cross. You can add the Nissan Ultimate Service Titan to that list now. The one-off emergency response vehicle debuted at the Miami Auto Show.
2018 Nissan Navara Dark Sky Concept
Based on the familiar Nissan Navara pickup truck, the Dark Sky concept is a mobile astronomy lab equipped with a state-of-the-art telescope mounted in a bespoke off-road trailer. Unveiled at the Hannover Motor Show in Germany, the Dark Sky concept was developed in the U.K. in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).
The concept car showcases how a truck like the Navara could support the ESA’s intense efforts to map the stars by helping astronomers conduct follow-up observations from hard-to-reach locations. Of course, the Dark Sky concept won’t become a production model, but Nissan will donate the telescope "to pass on the spirit of exploration and adventure, and to inspire and educate future generations." In addition to the bespoke trailer, the Navara also boasts unique features and technology that’s not available on the production truck. Find out more in the review below.

2018 Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign
While it might be a world-class performance icon, the Nissan GT-R was never really considered “pretty.” However, that all changes with the introduction of the one-off GT-R50 prototype, a collaborative effort between Nissan and the legendary Italian design house, Italdesign. Nissan TITAN and TITAN XD Get a New Lift Kit From Icon Vehicle Dynamics
The Nissan Titan is already one of the most capable pickups in the market, but even something as impressive as the Titan isn’t immune to added improvements. That’s why Nissan, in partnership with Icon Vehicle Dynamics, is now offering a way to lift the Titan’s suspension, increasing the Titan’s suspension by up to three inches, giving owners of the pickup more reason to enjoy the outdoors.
A Roofless Nissan Leaf has Made Its Debut, and It’s Mesmerizingly Ugly
Some cars look good as convertibles. Take most of Mercedes’ lineup, for example. Cabrio models go a long way in expanding an automaker’s lineup and appeasing those that prefer living life with unlimited headroom. There are cars that have no business losing their roof, and while I should be talking about the T-Roc, I’m actually talking about the Leaf. Nissan decided to throw together a one-off concept of the Leaf feature, you guessed it, absolutely no roof. It’s also void of rear doors, and we’re not even sure that the rear hatch is functional anymore either.
2016 Nissan GT-R by Alpha-N Performance
The Nissan GT-R is one of the cars in this world that can hold its own against any other performance vehicle. It may not have the power figures of other exotic vehicles, but it’s a load in itself to deal with on any road surface. Now imagine what the GT-R is capable of if you put it in the hands of an aftermarket tuner. Okay, that’s a rhetorical question because we all know what a tuned GT-R can do. What we’re here for is Alpha-N Performance, the German tuner that has been up to his head developing tuning programs this year, including its latest pride and joy for, you guessed it, the Nissan GT-R.
The program itself is relatively straight-forward, at least when you compare it to some of the previous works of Alpha-N Performance, including the BMW M2 and Mercedes-AMG GT R. In fact, if you line up those two kits with the one the German tuner prepared for the GT-R, the latter is tame by comparison.
Not that it’s going to matter because the GT-R is already a powerhouse in its own right. All Alpha-N Performance is doing here is massaging Godzilla’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine and giving it an extra bump in power and performance. Even better, the cost of availing this upgrade is cheap – it doesn’t even reach four figures – and owners of the GT-R R35 should have no problem giving their supercars an extra shot in power.
Given how some tuners have taken over-the-top approaches in building tuning kits for the GT-R, it’s a good sign that there’s another aftermarket company out there willing to take a different approach on Godzilla.

2016 Nissan Alpha G R35 GTR By AMS Performance
Gideon “Gidi” Chamdi is known in the U.S. drag racing scene as one of the most passionate owners of some of the most incredible drag-tuned supercars. If you’ve heard of AMS Performance, chances are you’re familiar with its staggering builds for the Nissan GT-R. Well, put one and one together and you can see where I’m going here, right?
See, Chamdi is the proud owner of just about every iteration of AMS Performance’s Alpha-tuned GT-Rs. He has the Alpha 10, Alpha 12, Alpha 16, and the Alpha 20. The last of those cars - the Alpha 20 - even became known as the fastest and most powerful Nissan GT-R in the world, a distinction it earned until it met an untimely demise when it crashed at an event back in August 2015.
With the Alpha 20 gone, Chamdi returned to AMS Performance, looking to replace his dearly departed GT-R with something that’s faster and more powerful than anything AMS Performance has built for the Japanese supercar. The result, or at least the partial result, is this monstrosity. It’s been labeled as the Alpha G and it promises to take the capabilities of the Alpha 20 and take it up to new heights.

It looks like the folks over at AMS Performance have scratched another entry into the history books with the Alpha Omega GT-R, this time via a 7.70-second blast down the 1320 at 186 mph. Throw in the fact that this car sports a full interior and stock body, and that accomplishment becomes even more impressive.
The team battled uncooperative weather and malfunctioning timing equipment at Royal Purple Raceway in Bayside, Texas, but managed to lay down the record-setting run once the clocks were fixed, the rain clouds had dispersed, and the track had dried.
Watching the video, it appears as though the laws of physics are broken when this highly-tuned Godzilla rips out of the hole in an all-wheel-drive wheelie, followed by a mad scramble for traction as the monstrous power coming from the tweaked-out turbo V-6 makes it to the ground via large drag radials. As the clouds creep in and the lightening flashes off in the distance, you can feel the gravity of the moment.
According to the AMS website, the Alpha Omega car holds the record for fastest and quickest GT-R in the quarter mile, as well as quickest 30-to-130 mph at 3.32 seconds, 100-to-150 mph at 2.15 seconds, and 0-to-300 km/h (or 186 mph) at 7.56 seconds. When we last saw it, horsepower figures came in somewhere around 1,700, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see even more now in the search for extra tenths.
While AMS might save some time stripping out the interior and replacing body pieces with lightened composites, we actually like how stock this thing is (that is, if a car with a parachute could be considered "stock"). You can bet this won’t be the last time you see the Alpha Omega GT-R, and we’re excited to see where AMS takes it next.
Needing the right tool for the job often requires ingenuity. That’s exactly the case at Nissan’s Stanfield, Arizona proving grounds. The team of engineers needed a truck-like vehicle to haul test gear, but something that got great gas mileage around the 3,050-acre complex.
Meet Sparky, the wild idea a few Nissan engineers cooked up while trying to solve the dilemma. The team started with a stock Nissan LEAF, the all-electric hatchback and combined it with several parts scavenged off a Nissan Frontier pickup. The combination is something of a Frankenstein, but it gets the job done.
Not using a drop of fuel, little Sparky makes his way across the grounds and helps out with testing of future Nissan products. "I needed a project for a team building activity so we can bring the team together. We had a need for a truck. Something to drive around, a shop truck," says Roland Schellenberg, one of Nissan’s masterminds behind Sparky.
Helping build Sparky was Arnold Moulinet. “I went home and stayed up till like four in the morning making all kinds of designs for what would work,” he says. “We basically got the stock Leaf, and after reviewing a bunch of designs of pickup trucks that we have here at Nissan, we decided to go with a Frontier bed.”
Now the Nissan development team has an electrically powered mini truck that functions as park of the team. “It’s something that we all put together,” says Schellenberg. “We all share, so it has a little bit of everybody in there.”
Nissan announced over the summer that it would commence in building its second crowdsourced vehicle, a 2014 Titan pickup. The one-off truck would be built with the help of Nissan’s 170,000 Facebook fans in preparation for an epic Alaskan adventure, led by two veterans with the Wounded Warrior Project.
The truck started life as a stock Titan, no different than one found at a local dealership and through the last several weeks, Nissan’s Facebook fans have voted on which parts to add, including wheels, tires, bumpers, mechanical modifications, interior accessories, and exterior graphics. With the truck completed, WWP Alumni David Guzman and Kevin McMahon are setting off on a week-long adventure through the Alaskan wilderness.
Nissan is creating a video mini-series that will debut in the fall of 2014 on YouTube that documents the two veterans’ extreme journey.
While this is Nissan’s first off-road iteration of a crowdsourced vehicle, it’s the automaker’s second similar build. Back in 2012, Nissan’s Facebook fans helped build a 370Z with a twin-turbo kit, a revised and track-ready suspension kit, and a host of visual changes to attract attention.
Updated 09/08/2014: Nissan unveiled a new video revealing a series of new details on its latest Project Titan. The new video shows the Titan with new hardcore wheels, LED lights, and wrap the exterior in a bold, military inspired, custom digital camo print.

If you thought the GT-R-powered Nissan Juke and its 545 horsepower was a crazy idea, then you’re in for a big surprise. Nismo’s crazy limited-edition crossover is far from being the fastest Juke ever built and it’s quite slow compared to the monster a Russian company managed to create. How’s that possible, you may ask? Well, the folks over at Shpilli Villi Engineering squeezed no less than 800 ponies out of Godzilla’s twin-turbo, 3.8-liter, V-6 engine, while adding a shot of nitrous for an extra 200 horses. That’s right, this Juke has no less than 1,000 horsepower traveling through its drivetrain, albeit only for a few seconds.
So what do you do when you have at least 800 horses to spare besides winning a dozen drag races against the world’s most powerful supercars? You take it to the Nurburgring track, of course, the place where all production cars go to have their engines and chassis refined. Not that this Juke needs further tweaks or any race-course time given its purpose, but at least the Juke R isn’t one of those massive SUVs BMW and Mercedes-Benz keeps bringing at the ’Ring.
Naturally, the overly powerful crossover isn’t the kind of vehicle you’d expect to set a new Nurburgring record, especially on a wet track, but owner and race car driver Vladimir Ulanov manages to put the Juke R through its paces and clock a few fast laps. Thankfully, the Russians captured it all on tape and you can watch the madness in the video above.
$1.35 million is an extremely ridiculous price to pay for an ordinary Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, but truth be told, there’s nothing ordinary about his particular model.
For one, it’s actually a movie car and one that was heavily used in the film it was on. More importantly, that film was "Fast & Furious 4," and the man who drove this Skyline was none other than the late Paul Walker. So yeah, it’s a pretty special ride driven by one special dude.
But after Walker’s sudden and unexpected death late last year, the car now finds itself on the market and the attached price tag — €1 million, which is around $1.35 million at the current exchange rates — speaks not only to the uniqueness of this particular Skyline GT-R (fully souped up and all), but also to the man who once treated the ride like one of his own.
Normally, we’d be turned off by a sticker price like that. After all, there are a lot of things you can do with that much money. But not this time.
See, the car itself will probably gain value as the years go by and Walker’s legend grows. But that’s trivial and inconsequential to the more important reason as to why if we had the money to spare, we’d buy it in a heartbeat.
What’s more, this car is going to help a great cause. See, 50 percent of the proceeds of the sale will be donated to Walker’s Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) charity, one of the finest charitably organizations you’ll ever find.
Unlike other movie cars that have gone on sale in recent years, we’re pretty sure that this one will find a new owner soon enough.

Just when you thought that the Nissan GT-R couldn’t be more awesome, British tuner Garage D built a program that really turns Godzilla into a full-blown mega monster.
It’s arguably one of the most impressive programs for the GT-R and that might even be a safe assessment. Don’t be fooled by the seeming absence of aero upgrades because Garage D’s work is solely devoted to turning the Nissan supercar’s engine into a mind-blowing piece of performance engineering.
It was a comprehensive program and its numbers really do back it up. After Garage D was done with it, this GT-R was capable of hitting 1,200 horsepower, which allowed it to cross the quarter-mile mark in an astonishing 9.450 seconds while blasting along at speeds in excess of 164 mph.
Even more impressive, the GT-R can cover one mile in 22.528 seconds at a top speed of 230 mph. Totally bonkers, we tell ya.
But here’s the most impressive part: this 1,200-horsepower GT-R is completely street legal, which means that you can run around the roads, flex your muscles, and blast off leaving everyone eating your dust.
That’s what a 1,200-horsepower GT-R is capable of doing. And we should all thank Garage D for making it possible.

Chargespeed Japan has launched an aerodynamic upgrade for the R35 generation Nissan GT-R. The aero-kit is now available in the U.S. as well. Unlike other aftermarket body kits available for the Nissan GT-R, the "Bottomline" by Chargespeed Japan has been designed to blend into the GT-R’s contours. The company also claims to have improved aerodynamic performance of the R35 Nissan GT-R.
Nissan has spent years perfecting the aerodynamic performance of the new GT-R, so it is already near perfection, so any improvements by this kit will only make the GT-R better.
The front bumper gets an add-on air dam to streamline the air hitting the front bumper. The side skirts have been lowered to prevent air from getting under the car and causing lift. The rear uses tiny guide vanes at the upper edge of the rear windshield to direct air onto the rear spoiler. A rear diffuser also helps channel air from under the car to create more downforce.
The Bottomline kit is a made specifically for Nissan GT-Rs built between 2009 and 2013. The company also offers individual components for those of you who want to build it piece-by-piece.
All the parts are made of fiber-reinforced plastics, but customers can also opt for "Hybrid" carbon-fiber parts, hand laid with a 1x1 weave. Chargespeed is also working on an all-carbon body kit upgrade.

Considering how surprisingly popular the Nissan Juke has been since it was first introduced a few years ago, nobody’s going to hold it against Nissan if it continued to produce more powerful versions of the funky-looking crossover.
To be fair, it’s hard to top the 500-horsepower Juke-R, but Nissan has continuously produced more and more powerful versions of the Juke, and at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, another one is set to grace us with its presence.
The new tuned-up crossover will pick up where the Juke Nismo left off. Taking that into account, the Juke Nismo RS offers an even more powerful engine, sport-tuned suspension with new springs and shock absorbers. There will also be a more aggressive exterior look, an updated interior and other cool Nismo features.

Hennessey took its powerful Venom GT and the Nissan GTR HPE750 to Circuit Of The Americas for some media rides during the ALMS and WEC races on September 20th and 21st. This video shows the Venom GT in action on the famous F1 circuit and it was filmed with a GoPro camera installed on the GT-R.
As you probably know by now, the Venom GT is based on a Lotus Exige and it’s powered by a Corvette ZR1-sourced 6.2-liter, supercharged V-8 engine. In its base setup, this engine delivers a total of 725 horsepower, but in the top version it can be raised to 1,200 horsepower. The Venom GT can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and to 200 mph in 15.9 seconds. The tuner reported a top speed of 275 mph.
While the sound is not at its best quality, the video is surely worth watching, so enjoy!
The Nissan Juke has surprisingly been one hot seller, especially in Europe, and the Juke Nismo is particularly hot. With a 197-horsepower 1.6-liter in tow, it is really no surprise that it is such a popular model.
Well, Senner Tuning is about to make the Juke Nismo even more desirable to you by offering up a comprehensive kit that makes the peppy crossover pop both aesthetically and performance-wise.
The Ingelhein-based tuner started by dousing the Juke in a black metallic Z11 paintjob, then it installed candy red-painted, carbon-fiber mirror caps for some extra contrast. A set of 9-by-20-inch Barracuda Tzunamee wheels in "Glossy Black" with red spoke accents and red center caps — matching the mirror caps — make their appearance on the corners wrapped in Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires sized 255/30R20. To help the rims fill the wheel wells perfectly and to bring the center of gravity down, Senner also installed a set of 35 mm (1.4-inch) lowering springs.
Senner then took to task under the hood, installing its ECU software, a performance air filter and a stainless-steel exhaust system with 130-by-105 mm (5.1-by-4.1-inch) tailpipes. These updates took the Juke Nismo up from 197 horsepower to 225 horsepower — a 14-percent increase. Not too bad for so little work.
With the Juke Nismo included, this total package comes in at €37,650 ($50,545 at the current exchange rate), but you can opt to upgrade your existing model for €7,990 ($10,726).

This isn’t the first time Senner Tuning has released a kit for the Nissan 370Z, but the last one was way back in 2010. This time around, it looks like Senner took its 370Z tune a little further.
As no surprise, Senner started its job under the Z’s hood where it installed an INJEN cold-air-intake system with hydro-shield wind deflector and remapped the ECU to squeeze a few more ponies from the 3.7-liter V-6. There is also a new stainless steel exhaust system connected to a fan-type exhaust pipe and 400-cell sports catalysts. All these updates have increased the 3.7-liter engine’s output from the standard 330 horsepower to a total of 368 horsepower. Peak torque also jumped from 269 pound-feet to 299 pound-feet.
Senner didn’t hang up its wrenched after tuning the engine, as is also slapped on a set of 20-inch Work Varianza T1S wheels wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 5P tires sized 245/30R20 up front and 295/25R20 out back.
Rims and tires aren’t quite enough to push the 370Z to another level, so Senner also added in a compression and rebound-adjustable KW variation 3-Inox coilover kit, and adjustable control levers on the rear axle to allow for fine alignment tweaks on the back end.

Switzer Performance is getting better with every upgrade program it offers for theNissan GT-R. Back in January, the tuner unveiled the GT-R Goliath and now it’s back with an even more amazing upgrade. Switzer is describing its new project as the "most track-focused Nissan GT-R" to date.
The new GT-R ClubSport is based on the previous Switzer-built Ultimate Street Edition from which it gets the engine and turbocharger upgrades. This new package adds in a big-brake package, a track-tuned suspension system, a new aerodynamic body kit and a set of racing seats. Switzer also fitted the ClubSport with more track-oriented Toyo R888 tires and grip-happy carbon-nano brake pads that are specially formulated to reduce fade and improve bite.
The price for the upgrade is $29,900, not including the price of the GT-R, and the standard Switzer Performance Ultimate Street Edition GTR upgrades. The tuning work takes anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks.
