With The New Off-Road Trim, Mercedes G-Wagon Returns To Its Military Roots

With The New Off-Road Trim, Mercedes G-Wagon Returns To Its Military Roots

The Mercedes G-Wagon Professional Line is not your typical, flashy G-Wagon, as It doesn’t mind getting dirty

The Mercedes G-Wagon is one of Mercedes’ signature vehicles. None of the other German premium carmakers have an analog to it. For decades the Mercedes G-Wagon has been every rich person’s favorite way of giving the middle finger to all “plebians mopping around in a Corolla or an Elantra”. The boxy SUV has been interpreted by many tuners, such as BRABUS, MANSORY, and others, giving it an aggressive design, and making it appealing to people like celebrities and drug dealers.

However, the boxy SUV has much humbler beginnings, as it was originally developed as a military vehicle. It seems Mercedes remembered that and decided to give us a G-Wagon that doesn’t mind getting dirty.

This Modest-Looking Himalaya HUE 166 Has a Big Surprise Under the Hood

The Hue 166 nameplate harks back to 1948 and this new one by Himalaya is a modern interpretation of that vintage SUV

The Himalaya Hue 166, with its big 650 horsepower, V-8 engine based on the Land Rover Defender 110, and understated looks, aims to change that.

Land Rover Defender SVR To Feature A 600-Horsepower BMW-Sourced V-8 Under The Hood!

A BMW-powered Land Rover Defender SVR might just give the Mercedes-AMG G63 a run for its money

As far as SUVs go, the Land Rover Defender has been the talk of talks in recent times. That is a big achievement, given the variety of SUVs. Not to mention the crazy demand. We already know that, for 2022, the Defender will get a 5.0-liter V-8 engine with 525 horsepower (391 kilowatts) and 461 pound-feet (625 Nm). We expect this to be the familiar from Jaguar 5.0-liter supercharged V-8. However, this will not be the top version for long, as something bigger is coming. This, of course, being the Defender SVR, which will reportedly put out in excess of 600 horsepower, from a BMW engine.
