Nissan ->ke62 is planning to compete in the 2014 TUDOR series with a race car->ke148 developed in cooperation with Muscle Milk Pickett Racing. In fact, the new Oreca 03 was designed by Muscle Milk and Nissan will only provide the engine and the drivers: GT1 FIA World Champion Lucas Luhr, Klaus Graf and Alex Brundle.

This new car and the 2014 TUDOR competition represents Nissan's attempt to return to its glory days of sports car->ke506 success from 1988 to 1991 when it won four consecutive driver's championships, three manufacturer's titles and 33 IMSA races.

The new Oreca 03 will hit the track this weekend at the "Roar before the Rolex 24" - the traditional test before the Rolex 24 at Daytona and will also be raced at the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans.

Ford Riley Technologies Daytona Prototype

Ford will be one of the makers to also compete in the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship series. Its models will be called Ford Riley Technologies Daytona Prototype and will be powered by a 3.5-liter, V-6 EcoBoost racing engine and is rumored to hit a top speed of 225 mph.

The new race car was developed in cooperation with Riley Technologies and designed by lead Ford production designer Garen Nicoghosian, and Ford Racing chief aerodynamicist Bernie Marcus took the reins on tweaking the car’s aerodynamics.

Chevrolet Corvette C7R

Another model that will enter the 2014 TUDOR series will be the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. The first details we have on the car suggest that it will be powered by an updated version of the current 5.5-liter, V-8 engine used in the C6.R.

The model will also get a two-tone, yellow with black paintjob, and the typical smattering of sponsor logos, plus an aerodynamic kit that includes a front splitter, a ventilated hood, a prominent rear wing and carbon-fiber canards.
