If I were to ask you to name a six-wheel-drive truck a few years back, chances are you could recollect just one – the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6. Even the non-enthusiasts were aware of its existence. But, lately, the scene is changing and there are a lot of 6x6 trucks available. Hennessey has not one, but two – the VelociRaptor 6x6 based on the Ford Raptor and the Mammoth 6x6 that’s based on the Ram 1500 TRX.

However, there’s another new entrant from Rezvani Motors that comes with insane performance figures and a sky-high price tag. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you, the Rezvani Hercules 6x6!

How Is It On The Outside?

It is not a simple, neutral design by any means and is busy on all the sides. As if the shape and design didn’t demand enough attention, Rezvani decided to offer it in a black shade with orange wheels, sticker job, and orange roll bars. There are some nifty features, like auto-retracting side steps and high-intensity auxiliary LED lights, too.

The Hercules 6x6 measures 244 inches in length, 90 inches in width from the rear, and 79 inches in height. It has a wheelbase of 138 inches between the first and second set of tires and 177 inches to the third set. Thanks to the extra set of wheels, the truck comes with a long 7.8-foot cargo bed as well.

What’s Special In The Cabin?

The cabin isn’t ancient by any means, but it isn’t sophisticated either. It seems to be a driver and passenger-friendly cabin with all the basic creature comforts present in there. It gives a lot of Jeep vibes, too.

For the premium touch, Rezvani has offered it with optional custom-stitched Nappa leather seats and a suede headliner. The seats are said to be purpose-built and can be had with over 10 styles to choose from.

What Powers The Rezvani Hercules 6x6?

The Rezvani Hercules 6x6 is available with three engine options to choose from. You’d expect it to be powered by a V-8 at least, but surprisingly, there’s a puny V-6 mill plonked in here that dishes out as much power as a Jeep Gladiator! The 3.6-liter, Pentastar V-6 engine makes 285 ponies and is the mill offered as standard.

Next in line is the 6.4-liter, HEMI V-8 engine – another FCA offering – that makes 500 horses. Finally, there’s the 7.0-liter, supercharged V-8 engine that is better suited to its demeanor. This powerhouse makes 1,300 horses.

The braking duties are taken over by 16-inch, eight-piston calipers from R1 Concepts. The Hercules 6x6 can switch between two-wheel-, four-wheel-, and six-wheel-drive configurations on demand.

Rezvani Hercules 6x6 Military Edition

The automaker also offers a non-civilian version of this beast. It comes with body armor and bullet-proof glass, underbody explosive protection, and run-flat tires. There are some interesting features like Electromagnetic Pulse Protection that makes the electronic devices around inoperable, Thermal Night Vision System that displays heat signatures along with the night vision, and Blinding Lights to get the trackers off of you. There’s also Smoke Screen that lets out dense smoke from the derriere to lose the trackers and Electrified Door Handles that provides security against unwelcome guests.

Apart from this, it also comes with:

-* Self-sealing Fuel Tank

-* Radiator Protection

-* Reinforced Suspension

-* Electromagnetic Pulse Protection

-* Ram Bumpers

-* Siren and Horn Options

-* Strobe Lights

-* Intercom System

-* Magnetic Dead Bolts

-* Gas Masks

-* First Aid Kit

-* Hypothermia Kit

-* Continuous Video Recording

Did Rezvani Take A Dig At Electric Vehicles?

The well-directed, two-and-a-half-minute video of the Rezvani Hercules seems to have taken a dig at electric vehicles in general. The video starts with a Tesla Model X stranded in the middle of nowhere with no charge left in the batteries. Yes, the video actually shows the name and logo of the SUV. The Hercules 6x6 comes to the rescue of the lady, but does the typical off-road shenanigans before picking her up. In the end, there’s a disclaimer at the bottom that says “batteries not included”, possibly referencing EVs to be toys.

Final Thoughts

A vehicle of this magnitude definitely doesn’t come cheap. The Hercules 6x6 starts at $225,000. What’s more surprising is that for a starting price of quarter-million dollars, you get a heart that powers vehicles like Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and Chrysler Pacifica!

But, pay another $100,000 for the Military Edition and suddenly the Rezvani Hercules feels rather value-for-money, especially when compared to Hennessey's builds. It comes with a 1,300-horsepower engine and a suite of features that will make sure you get out alive from the toughest situation. It isn’t for the general public, but is still quite appealing.

What do you have to say about the Rezvani Hercules 6x6? Will you choose it over the Raptor-based VelociRaptor 6x6 and the TRX-based Mammoth 6x6? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
