Pagani dropped a surprise at “The Quail — A Motorsport Gathering” event over the weekend when it unveiled the latest special edition Huayra Roadster, called the Gyrfalcon. Named after the White Gyrfalcon, the largest of all falcon species, the Huayra Roadster lives up to its namesake with a color scheme that matches the majestic colors of the bird of prey. The Pagani Huayra Gyrfalcon is a one-off model, and there's a good chance that it already has an owner.

What makes the Pagani Huayra Gyrfalcon special?

Pagani has created a number of incredible one-off versions of the Huayra. The Huayra L’Ultimo, for example, was a stunning piece of art that spelled the end of the one-off creations for the coupe version of the Huayra. With that well having all but dried up, Pagani is now turning its attention to the Huayra Roadster to satisfy its seemingly insatiable quench for special edition and one-off creations.

The Huayra Gyrfalcon is as incredible as incredible gets. This is a one-off creation done right. Unlike some of Pagani’s past SEs and one-offs where names were seemingly picked out of thin air, the Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon lives up to its inspiration.

The supercar’s exterior, for example, is dressed up in a white body finish similar to the White Gyrfalcon’s feathers. The exposed carbon fiber is reminiscent of the gyrfalcon’s spotted black wings, while the bright yellow accents spread throughout the car are meant to evoke the yellow colors on the bird’s beak, feet, and circles around its eyes. Pagani didn’t any add any aerodynamic modifications, and nor should it. The Pagani Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon is so beautiful to look at that it hurts our feelings doing so.

Step inside the interior of the supercar, and you’ll be reminded numerous times why the one-off creation takes its name from the aerial predator. A symbol of a gyrfalcon is prominently embroidered into the doors, headrests, and luggage. Yes, the one-off creation has its own luggage. There’s also a plaque inside the supercar with the inscription “Gyrfalcon” displayed on it. Even the Huayra Roadster’s shift knob is redesigned to include a special gyrfalcon coin inside it.

Powertrain options were left untouched, so don’t expect any performance upgrades to go along with the Huayra Gyrfalcon. That said, the supercar is already powered by an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12 engine that produces 754 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 738 pound-feet of torque at 2,400 rpm. The power figures are staggering, and it shows with the supercar’s own performance capabilities. The Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon is capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed run that should approach — or even exceed — 230 mph.

Unfortunately, of the lovestruck lot like me, the Pagani Huayra Gyrfalcon is not for sale. Pagani hasn’t announced if it already has an owner, but history is a good indicator that Pagani only builds one-off creations when someone asks for one. There’s a good chance, then, that the Huayra Gyrfalcon already has an owner.
