The Ford Maverick Pickup Will Be Little More Than a Transit Connect With a Bed

The Ford Maverick Pickup Will Be Little More Than a Transit Connect With a Bed

This explains the weird Maverick spy shots that looked an awful lot like a Transit

So far, the Ford Maverick pickup has been a pretty well-kept secret outside of some leaked CAD images and a photo that showed off what appeared to be the real tailgate with the Maverick name stamped on it. Rumors have suggested that it would be part of the Bronco family and could even be the rumored Bronco truck that has now been all but confirmed to arrive before 2024. However, a new leak via Maverick Chat forums, which quotes a person claiming to work for a supplier, has painted a very clear picture of what we can expect, and it’s probably not good.

It’s Almost Official - a Ford Bronco Pickup Is Coming, But The Question Is When

The Jeep Gladiator’s latest rival could arrive as early as 2022

Earlier this month, Ford announced that the Bronco will not just be a model in the lineup, but will serve as a sub-brand. The reason was to probably give a lot more presence and added value to the brand. Not to mention, Ford’s plans to introduce multiple Bronco-related products.

The automaker has already unveiled the two-door and the four-door Broncos, as well as the Bronco Sport. A Bronco Raptor is also inevitable and could be seen within a couple of years. Now, Automobile Magazine claims that a Bronco pickup is also in the works and is expected to come in 2024. However, the Blue Oval is trying to shorten this period and is planning to have the truck out by 2022. More worry for the Jeep Gladiator?

Will you Pay $80,000 for a Fully-Loaded 2021 Ford F-150?

Ford knows people will buy the F-150 no matter how high it’s priced

Kim Kardashian went about ‘breaking the internet’ a couple of years ago and her husband could do the same if he becomes the President of the U.S. In between these things came the Ford Bronco, which has been the talk of the town ever since it was unveiled and is a worthy candidate for the same award. Such is the off-roader’s hype that many have forgotten the fourteenth-gen 2021 Ford F-150 was also unveiled just a couple of weeks before it.

If it was any other time, America’s best-selling vehicle would’ve garnered all the attention; but not this time. However, there is some news on that front as well. According to a report from CarsDirect, the 2021 F-150 could go north of $80,000. How about that!

Next-Gen Frontier: If You Didn’t Like Nissan DNA in Your Mercedes, Maybe You’ll Like Mercedes DNA in Your Nissan

The next-generation Nissan Frontier won’t be a full redesign

In 2017 Mecedes-Benz decided to enter the pickup truck market with the X-Class. However, the X-Class wasn’t a true Mercedes under the shell, but a modified third-generation Nissan Frontier, also known as the Navara in other markets. Mercedes’ concept was to offer a more premium truck in terms of looks and equipment, but it seems that it didn’t go really well. After only two years on the market, the X-Class was discontinued. But a new report claims that the German truck will actually live on as Nissan wants to use the modifications that Mercedes made to the platform on the next-generation Frontier.

Weird Car for Sale: 1993 Geo Metro Dually Truck

Fancy a mini truck? This modded Geo Metro is what you need!

Back in the late 1980s, General Motors launched Geo as a subdivision of Chevrolet. It was supposed to compete with the important growing market and offered five vehicles based on models from Suzuki, Toyota, and Isuzu until it was discontinued in 2004. The Geo Metro was one of them. Based on the Suzuki Cultus, it debuted in 1989 and replaced the Chevrolet Sprint. The nameplate lived over two generations until 2001, and it was sold as a Chevy from 1998. The Metro went into the history books as an obscure car, an experiment that didn’t catch on, but there’s at least one example that’s worth the attention. It’s been converted to a truck, and it’s on sale for cheap.

However, if Ford were to capitalize on this rendering of the Mach-E as a pickup – which we think it should, it could have not one, but two electric trucks on the market. This Mercedes X-Class "Exy Extreme+" by Carlex Design Is Actually Tolerable

Well, at least someone has given attention to the rebadged Nissan Navara!
