Throttle House likes to pit some of the latest vehicles against one another, in a series of tests. This usually involves a drag race and this time is no exception. Moreover, many have been waiting to see, which of these new electric pick-up trucks is quicker in a straight line. The GMC Hummer or the Rivian R1T? You would think there’s not a single Tesla in sight, but a Model X Plaid decides to join the fun. Will it school the newcomers?

This is Ginger Billy, a humble man and a comedian who lives in the country. But the videos up on his YouTube channel, now that’s a completely different story. You’ve got everything from a Redneck Spaceshuttle to the baddest truck on planet earth. This time around, he took a dig at one of the hottest trucks out there, Tesla’s upcoming Cybertruck.

In their latest video, AutoTopNL took a Ford F-250 Super Duty to its top speed on an unrestricted section of Autobahn in Germany. Now, this isn’t the first time that a pickup has appeared on their channel.

The F-150 Raptor and the Ranger Raptor have also been previously featured. However, only the RAM 1500 had been previously let loose on the Autobahn, until now. Let’s see how the Super Duty gets to its top speed.

The idea of a luxury-level truck isn’t anything new. Some of the range-topping models from the Ford F-Series and the Chevy Silverado range certainly hit close to that border. Mercedes even tried to give it a go with the X-Class, but the approach was super lazy (it was basically a Nissan Navara with Mercedes emblems). Now, it looks like Audi is at least considering the idea of dipping its toes into the pool. Could it be that Audi doesn’t only want to pick up were Mercedes failed but actually compete with higher-range models of the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux? Well, this isn’t just some random rumor, and the concept is coming from someone with a lot of influence within the walls of Audi.

While the onus will be on electrification moving forward, there are a lot of other moving parts that need to work along in tandem for automakers to ensure a smooth transition. Ford has taken the first big step – probably the biggest step – of electrifying the most product in its lineup, the Ford F-150. With that out of the way, the automaker can now switch its focus on something completely different altogether this year – grow the Raptor brand even more.

If you pick up all the pieces the company has been dropping in the last 1-1.5 years, you’ll realize that it is working on building the Raptor brand. We have the F-150 Raptor R coming, the Bronco Raptor is already here, and even the Ranger Raptor has finally crossed the forbidden door and come to the States and Canada. Will Ford make ‘Raptor’ a standalone brand like the Mustang and the Bronco?

To say Hoonigan’s drag races are epic is an understatement. For a while, we have been seeing some of the most insane showdowns with some of the weirdest builds ever, but this one takes things even further. Gobi - named after the desert in Asia - joined Gladiator’s exterior color palette for the first time in 2020, and it has now returned for the 2022 model year. Also, the same finish is being offered for the 2022 Wrangler for the first time.

Custom cars are awesome, but what’s even crazier is custom pick-up trucks, especially when they are from the 1950s. A perfect example of that is this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Sidestep, built by “Customs by Lopez”. While the Chevy 3100 was part of the Chevy Task Force, also known as the “Blue Chip Series” in GMC dealerships, it started out as a humble, but rugged work truck. However, it has been transformed into a mean, rubber-burning machine.

Ford unveiled the next-gen Ranger Raptor in February 2022, and it has since been the talk of the town. While it is a huge improvement over the outgoing model, the highlight is that it will be coming to the U.S. and Canada – the two countries where the Ranger Raptor was forbidden fruit for the longest time. It looks like Ford finally came to a realization that there is a demand for the off-road mid-size beast in these countries.

Now that we know it is coming here, let’s talk about the truck itself. Ford finally moved it to a new platform after basing it on the T6 architecture for 11 years. The new 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor also comes with an upgraded suspension setup, updated exterior aesthetics and interior features, and even features a V-6 engine under the hood. Hyundai and Genesis are planning to launch a total of 17 EVs between both companies by the end of the decade, so it should be little surprise that Kia is also increasing its efforts – they are all related, after all. There’s an oddity to this announcement, though, as Kia is also planning to launch not one, but two zero-emission electric pickup trucks.

The electric pickup truck market is booming. You’ve got the GMC Hummer EV, the Tesla Cybertruck, the Rivian R1T, and many other new players. Even the pioneers of the current generation like Ford and Chevy have thrown in their hats and showcased what the truck will look like. But, one big name that’s missing is Ram. The company officially announced the electric Ram 1500 sometime mid-last year. Fast forward to the present day, we have got another set of teasers. Yeah, just teasers; not a glimpse at the real deal.

But, all that is forgiven at the moment because we are in awe of how stunning the Ram 1500 EV could turn out to be. What we see are still sketches, but if Ram can translate it into the production version without a whole lot of changes, it might be the best-looking truck on the market when it comes out.
