The boys over at the German tuning company, CarGraphic, have a lot to celebrate this year. This year marks their 25th anniversary and they will be highlighting their silver anniversary with a Porsche Cayenne taxi. Yes, we agree, not the most conventional way to celebrate, but it is indeed what has been done.

CarGraphic, together with the company’s technical partner Kubatech, have developed a built-in performance software that will allow the Porsche Cayenne to pay homage to legendary 2006 race taxi. The software allows the V6 diesel engine to deliver 290PS/213kW. The engine’s fine tuning is further exemplified by the stainless-steel exhaust system fitted to the vehicle. The Cayenne utilizes CarGraphic’s lowering kit and is styled with their body kit which includes front quad headlamps. All of this sits on 21” Racing wheels fitted with Dunlop SP QUATTROMAXX 295/35 R21 tires.

CarGraphic has also made this vehicle look extra special with a unique foil wrap from and folioCar. This car body foil transforms the Porsche Cayenne into a true classic New York checker cab by using the checkered scheme pattern, but modifying it into a race flag design.

Thankfully, this Porsche Cayenne will not be subjected to the transporting of tourists in the Big Apple. It seemed to have escaped the fate enlisted to the Giugiaro Quaranta in Rome. Instead, the Porsche Cayenne taxi will be primarily used as a rolling advertising vehicle in 2010 for selected events and exhibitions.

A mouthwatering taxi cab! I guess cargraphics are really mad. This is what you called an effort and dedication by the designer.

If that is the best they can come up with after 25 years. I’m suprised that they are still in business.

Good design to be a taxi cab. So they just focused more on the looks and not the performance.
