What did Mansory add to the exterior of the Cayenne Turbo Coupe?

If you’re familiar with how Mansory rolls, you know that the German tuner loves itself some carbon fiber. Loads of it, too. The Cayenne benefits from that obsession with a new hood made of naked carbon fiber. The front air intakes and the area under the front apron are also now dressed in the lightweight material. More carbon fiber goodness can be found on the mirror caps, the rear apron, and on the sills, the latter of which is painted in the color of the car. A new spoiler now sits on the rear roofline of the German SUV, aerodynamically enhanced by Mansory to improve the Cayenne Turbo Coupe's performance capabilities.

The wheels’ Y.5 design not only looks great on the Cayenne Turbo Coupe, but the whole setup brings out a new level of sportiness and aggressiveness that you can’t replicate with the standard Cayenne. The fluorescent orange-like paint finish also makes the SUV stand out even more.

There’s nothing subtle about Mansory’s exterior upgrades for the third-generation Cayenne. Then again, this is Mansory we’re talking about. Nothing about the German tuner is subtle, and that also includes interior upgrades to the SUV.

Should we expect any interior upgrades?

Yes, you should.

Most of Mansory’s interior work revolves around one of the most comprehensive customization programs of any tuner in the world. That’s exemplified by the kind attention Mansory puts into dressing a vehicle’s interior with the finest materials in the land. Premium leather, for example, is a staple of any Mansory program. Depending on your whims, you can have the entire interior covered in the finest leather. The tuner will even add color-coordinated stitching on all the seams to match the exterior color of the vehicle.

Alcantara and carbon fiber are also go-to materials. The headliner, for example, is covered in top-grade Alcantara whereas carbon fiber can be found throughout the interior, applied in specific sections. Minor additions like floor mats and an aluminum pedal set are also included in the program.

What kind of engine upgrade program did Mansory prepare for the Cayenne Coupe?

For an SUV that’s powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, you would think that 550 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque would be enough output for those who buy the Cayenne Coupe Turbo. Mansory, of course, has a different idea on what counts as “enough” in terms of the output of the Cayenne Coupe Turbo and, subsequently, its performance capabilities. That’s how tuners like Mansory. Nothing is enough until they say it’s enough.

In Mansory’s case, the standard output of the Cayenne Coupe Turbo isn’t enough to tickle anyone’s fancies. Just like that, the Cayenne Coupe Turbo not only becomes more potent than most of the super SUVs that are out in the market but, more importantly, its performance capabilities go up another level, too.

Consider this: in standard form the Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds to go with a top speed of 177 mph. Those are impressive performance times that underscore how potent and impressive the twin-turbo V-8 engine is when it’s in full bloom. With Mansory’s software tune in place, not only does the engine benefit from a bump in output of 150 horsepower and 96 pound-feet of torque, but that extra power also translates to a performance bump in the form of a faster sprint-to-60 time and a higher top speed.

These performance figures are what you’d expect from super SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and Lamborghini Urus. You don’t expect to generate that kind of blitzing performance in a standard Cayenne Turbo Coupe, but when it comes to Mansory, all our expectations should as well get thrown out the window.

How much does the whole thing cost?

Mansory doesn’t reveal pricing details for any of its programs. That’s partly due to the heavy amount of customization that’s available for the SUV. We do know that a lot of the bits and pieces that are included in the all-encompassing program don’t come cheap. With the Cayenne Turbo Coupe starting at around $130,000, you better believe that you could end up paying anywhere from $160,000 to $180,000 for the whole program, donor SUV included.

It’s a steep price, but, then again, it’s still cheaper than the Urus, Bentayga, and Cullinan, all of which are priced north of $200,000.

Final Thoughts?

For all of the adulation Mansory has received for being one of the most aggressive tuners in the market, some of its past projects weren't as impressive as they would've been had the tuner applied a little more subtlety into them. This program for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe fits into that model. There are some impressive aspects to the kit -- the exterior aerodynamics and the wheels being one of them -- but the result still screams for attention, perhaps even too much of it.
