EVs don’t get a lot of attention from tuners and for good reasons. Few electric cars on the market can claim and back up dynamic driving and there’s no point in dressing up a Nissan Leaf in a Liberty Walk widebody kit, is there?

Now, Tesla’s cars are capable of delivering high levels of performance and we’ve seen some kits tailored to imbue aerodynamics and whatnot. But then the Porsche Taycan came, and we were wondering when will someone find a way to make it wider and meaner.

Prior Design isn’t the only tuner looking after the Taycan

In the wake of the Taycan’s reveal, the likes of Hennessey and TechArt have signalled their intentions to produce tuning kit revolving around the EVs appearance. The latest player to join the arena is Prior Design and it’s safe to say this is the wildest Taycan-aimed body kit we’ve seen to date.

Call us crazy, but there’s a GT3 RS vibe to the kit, although the Taycan and the 911 are two very different dishes. We know that a lot of Prior Design’s work is tied to boosting a car’s aerodynamics. It could very well be the case here. Motor1 reports that the mod list is quite hefty, starting with the wider fenders and extra air inlets in the front and ending with beefier side skirts, diffusers, and a large fixed wing in the back.

It’s pretty obvious that Prior Design went the whole nine yards here, but it gets better. All the bits and bobs we mentioned above can be made from carbon fiber if the customer wants it, which means low weight and super strength. And let’s not forget about the 22-inch wheels.

The powertrain remains intact

Prior Design didn’t specify which Porsche Taycan variant gets the body, but it should fit on all of them. What’s more, the tuner didn’t fiddle with the all-electric powertrain, so that’s all stock.

The Porsche Taycan 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S pack two e-motors that also give them AWD capabilities. Here’s how the range is split in terms of power:

-* Taycan 4S: 522 horsepower with the base battery

-* Taycan 4S: 563 horsepower with the larger battery

-* Taycan Turbo: 670 horsepower

-* Taycan Turbo S: 750 horsepower
