Manthey Racing has created a tuning program for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 that taps into the sports car’s racing genes. The contents of the kit address the body, suspension, and brakes of the 718 Cayman GT4. There are no engine upgrades, though that’s expected given the tuner’s history with past projects, including one for the 911 GT3 RS. Monthly Racing hasn’t announced a price for the 718 Cayman GT4 kit.

Manthey Racing is responsible for some of Porsche’s most successful racers, as well as the 911 GT2 RS MR, which blitzed the Nurburgring with a lap time of 6:40.3, earning the distinction as one point as the fastest road-legal sports cars to take a lap around the vaunted circuit. The tuner’s new package for the 718 Cayman GT4 follows a similar script, focusing on aerodynamic and suspension improvements to make the sports car more capable on a race track.
The aerodynamic modifications include a gurney flap and new wing mounting brackets. Manthey also fitted the 718 Cayman GT4 with an air deflector and a set of protective grilles for the air intakes. The latter is an important tool that could reduce potential damages to the intakes.
The tuned Cayman sits on a set of forged wheels from BBS. The wheels have a Y-spoke design and are gold-finished. Uprated brake pads and braided front and rear brake lines are also part of the package. On the suspension front, Manthey installed a new set of coilover springs, dropping the coupe’s ride height enough to sharpen the car’s handling on the track.
A six-speed manual transmission sends all that power to the two rear wheels, and in full bloom, the Porsche can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 188 mph.
