Techart’s package for the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S was one of the best ones we’ve seen for the car so far. It was a perfect mix of aesthetic and performance upgrades. Now, the tuner has come up with a kit for the 911 Turbo Cabriolet. The GTstreet R Cabriolet follows the same philosophy as the package for the standard turbo – make it even more aesthetically pleasing and pump up the power to make you go ‘Wow!’.

What’s Special About The Techart GTstreet R Cabriolet?

The kit includes a lot of carbon fiber lightweight components. Most of these aid the aerodynamics of the car. The aero kit includes:

- Front apron

- Lightweight fenders

- Wheel arch extensions

- Side skirts

- Rear apron

- Carbon fiber aero hood

- Carbon rear wing

Large air inlets are also provided to ensure an optimized airflow to the intercoolers. The tuner notes that the front track is 1.2 inches wider than the standard car. You can have either 20- or 21-inch wheels with a central lock. You can choose to have them with or without aero discs.

On the inside, Techart has made use of Alcantara, leather, and heritage fabrics. A handcrafted sports steering wheel is also offered. Individual carbon fiber packages can also be opted for. As is most high-end tuners, the interior can be customized based on the customer’s desires.

How Much Power Does The Techart Kit Add?

The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Turbo S Cabriolet share the same 3.8-liter, twin-turbo six-cylinder engine. Power is channeled to all four wheels via an eight-speed PDK in both models.

Techart offers two performance enhancement kits that pump up these figures considerably. One of them adds 59 horses and 74 pound-feet of torque. This second kit increases the top speed to 217 mph.

Techart also offers a spring set that can be lowered up to one inch. There’s also a coilover kit available that can be lowered from 0.2 inches to 1.2 inches. The car also comes with a hand-welded sports exhaust system that comes with valve control for a wide range of acoustics. It is calm enough to be driven every day without having your neighbors call the cops, and it can roar and grunt when you take it to the racetrack.

How Much Does The Techart GTstreet R Cabriolet Cost?

The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet starts from $187,100, whereas the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet starts from $219,800.

So, the kit with the Turbo Cabriolet will cost you over $250,000, and with the Turbo S Cabriolet over $300,000.

Techart also noted that the GTstreet R kits are collectively limited to 87 units for the coupe and the cabriolet models.
