The Cayenne Coupe, like the entire Porsche lineup, is due for an update. However, that won’t happen until later in 2022, so, for now, we must work with what we have. Manhart decided to take the Cayenne Turbo Coupe under its wings and give it some serious improvements.

Its latest package, the CRT 800, not only makes the German SUV look better on the outside, but also adds a lot more power under the hood.

What changes are offered under the hood?

Out of the factory, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe is powered by a twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 541 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. At least these numbers make it a very strong competitor against cars like the BMW X6 M or the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S, but what if these numbers can be improved and the Cayenne Turbo Coupe could play in a completely different league?

The German tuner Manhart was able to squeeze an extra 250 horsepower just with some small updates. It added a turbo performance kit that includes turbo upgrades and a new MANHART intercooler, and even modified the ECU. Of course, a new exhaust system was also required - like any other seriously updated cars - so Manhart opted for a MHtronik auxiliary control unit with a rear silencer with valve control and four 100-millimetre end pipes. These can be either be ceramic-coated or sheathed in carbon. As an option, Manhart can also offer sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters.

After all the changes, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe delivers a total of 807 horsepower and 803 pound-feet of torque.

These numbers make the CRT 800 around 100 horsepower more powerful than the kit offered by Mansory for the same car.

We have no words on how these changes will improve the car's performance figures, but the standard SUV goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and up to a top speed of 178 mph. However, considering the Mansory upgrades improved these numbers to 3.2 seconds and 186 mph, we expect better figures from the Manhart CRT 800.

What other updates are offered?

If you are familiar with Manhart’s work, you should know by now that pretty much all its projects are being offered with a black exterior paint combined with golden trim stripes and lettering. The Cayenne Coupe Turbo was no exception. While the exterior didn't get any major updates at the moment, the tuner announced that it will soon be adding a front spoiler and a rear diffuser to the package.

The car will ride on a new set of five-star double-spoke alloy wheels featuring the same gold finish as the rest of the contrasting elements of the exterior. They are sized 10.5x22 up front and 11.5x22 inches in the rear and will be offered with 285/35ZR22 and 315/30ZR22 tires. Customers can choose any color they want not only for the wheels, but also for the brake calipers. The same goes for the leather trim inside the cabin.

The car’s ride was lowered by 35 mm. Manhart updated the suspension by adapting the factory air suspension and using new coupling rods.
