2020 Porsche Taycan
The Porsche Taycan is an all-electric sports sedan based on the Mission E concept. It’s also Porsche’s first-ever production electric car, designed to go against the Tesla Model S. Previewed by the Mission E concept, the Taycan sports design features borrowed from the show car, but also includes styling features seen on the Panamera sedan and 911 sports car. Powered by a couple of electric motors, the Taycan generates in excess of 700 horsepower in its range-topping version.
While considered laughable just a decade or two ago, the idea of a high-performance electric vehicle is now widely accepted in even the most traditional of speed circles. Porsche took full advantage of this and designed a sleeker Panamera that’s notably more powerful and quicker. Granted, it’s not as spectacular as the Mission E concept, but it’s definitely an exotic appearance even when compared to full-fledged sports cars. However, does it have what it takes to compete with the Tesla Model S? Let’s find out in the detailed review below.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
Porsche has a history of making absurd vehicles, but this might take the cake – at least for now. It’s the new 2019 Cayenne Turbo and it packs 550 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged V-8 that turns all four wheels while four-wheel steering and active aero bodywork scramble to keep it pointing straight. Think of it as the playboy’s version of the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Porsche pulled the covers off the new high-powered SUV at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to a crowd of gleeful onlookers. No doubt people fawn on whatever Porsche attaches its crest too, including tall SUVs and four-door sedans with a hybrid powertrain. Granted, the German automaker generally knows how to screw a vehicle together, but Porsche has certainly been carving out new territory over the last 17 years. As for the new Cayenne Turbo, well, it’s muy caliente, so keep reading for the juicy details. You’ll find it includes rear-wheel steering, a new three-chamber air suspension, and a 48-volt electronic roll stabilization system.

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package
Say what you will about Porsche’s tendency to get a little carried away with its niche variants for the 911, but credit should be heaped on the company for being aware of what customers want. Take the Porsche 911 GT3 for example. By every sports car metric, the 911 GT3 is a shining example of the best of Stuttgart engineering. The only problem with it is that it’s far from being the most understated 911 in the market, no thanks to its attention-grabbing aero bits. Then there’s the 911 R, the answer to prayers coming from Porsche purists who were crossing their fingers for a manual transmission 911. The 911 R was the answer to those prayers, except it was limited to just 991 units. Enter then the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package. Think of it as the love child between the 911 GT3 and the 911 R, carrying elements from both models and wrapping them all up in one scintillating package.
The car’s name may not roll off the tongue as smoothly as I’d like, but remember, there is a precedence in Porsche’s history of the “Touring” name being used on a 911, specifically the 1973 Porsche Carrera 911 RS Touring. So we’ve established the roots of the 911 GT3 Touring. But far more than just being a product of Porsches-gone-by and previous iterations of the current-generation 911, the 911 GT3 Touring is a car of its own devices, understated in appearance yet ferocious in performance. In my view, this is the Porsche 911 variant that purists have been waiting for.

2018 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche has ushered in a third generation of the Porsche Cayenne, but before you get too excited, you should be aware of the fact that it looks quite a bit lot its predecessor. Now, this isn’t because Porsche was lazy. No. This is because the Cayenne went through an extensive update just back in 2015, so after three years it was time to make some changes while leaving the relatively fresh body intact with just little extras here and there. As such Porsche focused its energy on what happens beneath the skin bringing updated or new technology that includes rear axle steering as standard equipment, a three-chamber suspension, 48-volt electronic roll stabilization, and two new engines that offer up more power and better economy. At the skin level, we see a revised interior and exterior that is really more of a honing to the previous layout than an update, but it’s exactly what the Cayenne needed to take its respective segment by storm in 2018.
For now, there are only two trim levels available – the base level Cayenne and the Cayenne S. Like the second-gen model, it will likely take a couple of years, but Porsche should fill the lineup with a diesel and a plug-in hybrid variant at some point. There’s also the potential for an all-electric model at some point in this generation if Porsche really gets froggy, but we’ll leave that speculation for another time. For now, let’s take a good look and the new Cayenne and talk about all of the exciting changes that will carry it into the next decade.
Until 2009, Porsche had nothing to do with electrification, still using flat-six, V-8, and V-10 engines across its lineup. But in five years, the Germans made a huge leap forward in the hybrid world, launching four models that combined internal combustion engines with electric motors. The 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid, 2009 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, and the 2015 Porsche 919 Hybrid all signaled that Porsche is embracing the future, on both the road and the race track. At the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche launched its very first full-electric vehicle, in the form of a four-door concept car.
Meet the Mission E, the Porsche that lacks the growl of a race-bred gasoline engine, but delivers outstanding performance that rivals that of the 2015 Tesla Model S P85D.
Futuristic by design, impressively quick, and quite practical thanks to its four-seat configuration and good driving range, the Mission E is the kind of concept I wish Porsche would approve for production as soon as tomorrow. Unfortunately, that’s not likely to happen very soon given the amount of experimental technology it comes with, but it does signal Porsche’s intent to offer an EV at some point. After months of speculation and tons of spy shots including camo-free, pre-production models, the facelifted 991-generation 911, also known as the 991.2, has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
At first glance, the updated 911 confirms what we already suspected: updates inside and out are rather mild, while the highlight of this facelift lurks under the hood. Rumors about Porsche’s plans to turbocharged the entire lineup (save for the GTS and GT3, at least for now) have become official and the Carrera gained forced induction for the first time in its five-decade career.
Tubocharging aside, the new Carrera also comes with an updated chassis, improved dynamics, upgraded in-car technology, and rear-axle steering, an option previously available only with the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and 2014 Porsche 911 GT3.
The 991.2 is set to arrive on U.S. soil in the first quarter of 2016 for the 2017 model year. Meanwhile, let’s have a closer look at its new features and performance figures in our review below.

Just ahead of its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt International Auto Show, Porsche has dropped details on the latest mid-cycle refresh for the drop-top 911, and it comes with a few new exterior styling tweaks, the latest infotainment and driver’s aides, and most notably, a smaller, turbocharged engine.
It appears as though Porsche is moving to widen the appeal of the 911 Convertible, which makes sense given the automaker’s lineup of hardcore, track-oriented models. However, purists will still inevitably complain about the boosted cabriolet’s engine, despite it bringing more power and greater efficiency.
The car is even quicker, with performance figures seeing improvements across the board and new standard features that enhance its race-inspired capabilities even further.
Porsche says the car blends “performance and everyday usability,” a combination the brand is well established for delivering.

TopCar announced its participation in the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show with a pretty cool tuning kit based on the new-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The kit is called Stinger and for customers interested, it can be ordered at a price of €14,280 (about $19,000 at the current exchange rates).
The new Stinger kit is mainly focused on updating the exterior look of the 911 Carrera 4S, and offers a sporty and powerful aerodynamic kit. Thanks to all the changes it received, the 911 Carrera 4S Stinger does not only look more aggressive and speedy, but also sits lower and wider, thanks to the new shape of the front and rear bumpers.
The kit also includes a new hood, some extra spoilers, plus some updates to the interior, depending on the personal taste of the customer. The car sits on new wheels from ADV.1.

With the new generation Porsche Panamera launched on the market, German tuner TechArt prepared a new GrandGT package. Official debut will be made next month at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and customers can order it shortly after.
As with the previous version, the GrandGT package is about changing every aspect of the car, starting with the exterior look and up to the engine under the hood. As usual, the most important changes were made under the hood where the tuner added an intelligent TechArt engine management system Techtronic that will increase the engine’s power up to 580 horsepower in the Turbo version (up from the standard 520 horsepower).
Next to the extra power, TechArt is also offering a completely revised exterior look thanks to the addition of a new aerodynamic kit made in lightweight fibre composite of carbon and polyurethane RIM. Customers can also opt for a wide range of wheels and of course numerous interior updates.

After the new generation Porsche Panamera made its world debut at the 2013 Auto China in Shanghai, the new diesel version of the luxury sedan will be unveiled next week at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. When compared to the previous generation, the new Panamera Diesel delivers an extra 50 horsepower and is both faster and more fuel efficient.
Next to the more powerful engine, the revised Panamera Diesel will adopt the same design language we have seen in the gasoline version. It will get a revised front fascia with redesigned headlights and larger air intakes and for the rear, a wider spoiler and redesigned taillights. As usual, no changes were made on the interior.
The new generation Panamera Diesel will be put on sale in January 2014 at a starting price of €85,300 - about $113,000 at the current exchange rates.

Well, that was fast! Days after Porsche unveiled its new Cayman and Cayman S, we now have rumors of a Cayman Turbo that is expected to debut at the IAA-Frankfurt 2013.
Any Porsche enthusiast knows that the “Turbo” badge signifies more power and a bigger price tag. Yes, there’s more power but with a catch. Unlike the 6-cylinder, boxer configuration of the Cayman S, the Turbo variant is expected to be powered by a smaller, turbocharged 4-cylinder boxer engine that is expected to produce more than 350 horsepower. We don’t think Porsche purists would be happy with this move as it will lose the iconic sound that is instantly recognizable as Porsche sports car, but at least the power is there.
With the downsizing trend becoming popular among top brands, the main aim is to bring more power while improving fuel efficiency, thanks to the rising fuel prices and concern for carbon emission. Looks like Porsche is expected to join that bandwagon with the Cayman Turbo and the Macan.
If this is true, it’s going to be funny trying to reason with a Cayman S owner why the Turbo is better.
For now, this is all we’ve got on the flagship Cayman. We’ll keep an eye out on this while we wait for its expected unveiling at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Project Kahn rolls out more tuning programs for some of the most desirable cars on the market than any other aftermarket company we know. So when the Frankfurt Motor Show rolled around, it was expected that the British tuning company would be in attendance to show off their latest programs.
One of these is the new Vesuvius program for the Porsche Cayenne. Comprising of styling and engine updates, the Vesuvius kit once again showcases just how good these guys are at what they do.
The most noticeable upgrade for this particular Cayenne is the new body kit that seamlessly blends in with the car’s white body finish. Among the items included in the kit are buffed up fenders, rows of horizontal and vertical LED headlights, and a new set of Project Kahn’s very own RS wheels. Meanwhile, the interior of the Cayenne has been dressed up with a top-quality bespoke treatment that can be tailor-made depending on the customer’s preference.
As for the engine upgrade, Project Kahn has yet to divulge intimate details about it, opting only to say that it’s going to have a ’monstrous’ engine upgrade. In standard form, the Cayenne carries a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 405 lb/ft of torque. These figures are good enough for the SUV to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 136 mph. We can only imagine just how much of an improvement in performance the Porsche SUV will receive when Project Kahn finally reveals that ’monstrous’ engine upgrade they guaranteed it will have.
Hamann is coming to the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show locked, stocked, and ready to rock. The German tuning company is bringing a number of tuning projects to the world’s biggest auto show, one of which is the 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Guardian Evo.
Featuring an aerodynamic package that includes an extensive body kit, the Cayenne Turbo Guardian Evo is coming to Frankfurt dressed to the nines. A new front apron with large air intakes are two of the many new additions to the Porsche SUV, as are the new integrated fog lights and LED daytime running lights. The kit also carries wider wheel arches, which increases the width of the Cayenne by 120 and 160 mm in the front and back, respectively. There are also new side skirts, a roof spoiler, a rear apron with an integrated diffuser, and a new exhaust system with two enormous tail pipes right in the middle of the rear apron. Hamann also improved the SUV’s suspension system, allowing the ride height to be lowered by 335 mm. Inside, the Hamann dressed up the Guardian Evo with the works, including a full leather upholstery, a new steering wheel, and plenty of carbon fiber components on the center console and instrument panel of the Cayenne Turbo.
As for performance, Hamann spared no expense in tweaking the Cayenne Turbo’s capabilities, re-mapping the ECU and adding a sports silencer, sports catalysts, and a sports air filter. All the modifications result in the Cayenne Turbo boasting an increased output of 550 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 568 lb/ft of torque from 2,300 rpm to 4,600 rpm, up from the standard model’s 500 horsepower output with a peak torque of 516 lb/ft. The improvements allow the Cayenne Guardian Evo to hit 0 to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds, as well as reach an improved top speed of 187 mph.
Auto brands aren’t the only names that are coming to the Frankfurt Motor Show; some of the world’s most prominent tuning brands are also coming in force to show off their latest programs. One of these brands is German tuning company, Hamann, which will be introducing their new Paragon program for the Porsche Panamera. Though the program is still under development, the word is that it’s going to come with an extensive aerodynamic package that will also be complimented by a modest performance boost.
As far as the aerodynamics are concerned, the Paragon Panamera will receive a new and aggressive front bumper with large air intakes, and LED daytime running lights. In addition, the program will also carry a new hood, wider wheel arches, a new rear bumper and rear diffuser, a huge rear wing, a new exhaust system with two large central tail pipes, and a set of 22" dark-finished forged wheels.
With all the parts in tow, the Paragon Panamera will be 60 mm wider than the stock version of the car, and with an upgraded suspension system, the ride height is also lowered by as much as 30 mm. Inside, the Panamera will receive a posh dress-up that includes plenty of leather and Alcantara, aluminum pedals, and a plethora of other interior options.
Then there’s the engine. With the help of the new exhaust system, together with a new engine management unit, Hamann was able to boost the output of the Panamera’s twin-turbo V8 engine from the standard 500 horsepower all the way up to 580 horsepower.

TechArt has been one of the foremost tuning companies of Porsche vehicles, having produced a long list of programs for the Stuttgart-based company.
Their next program for the Porsche Cayenne will introduce a new set of aerodynamic kits for the SUV, called the TECHART Aerodynamic Kit I, as well as a performance program courtesy of the company’s new TA 058/T1 performance kit.
Among the parts included in the aero kit are a three-piece front spoiler with integrated air ducts, custom side skirts, a roof spoiler, and a modified rear apron. In addition, interested customers will also receive redesigned taillights, stainless steel dual tail pipes with a special embossed lettering, and last, but not least, a new set of custom alloy wheels that are available from 20" to 23."
TechArt will also be offering their new TA 058/T1 performance kit for a number of variants of the Cayenne, specifically the Diesel and Turbo versions. The former, which carries a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with an output of 240 horsepower and 405 lb/ft of torque, will see an increase of 40-horsepower and 51.6 lb/ft of torque, hitting 280 ponies and 457 lb/ft of torque. This allows the SUV to hit 0-62 mph in 7.2 seconds.
Meanwhile, the latter carries a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 500 horsepower and 516 lb/ft of torque. Thanks to TechArt’s performance program, the output climbs to 560 horsepower and 575 lb/ft of torque with a 0-62 mph time of just 4.4 seconds.
There’s plenty to like about the TECHART Aerodynamic Kit I and the TA 058/T1 performance kit and we certainly can’t wait to see what other surprises the company has in store for us when the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors in the coming weeks.
If the ordinary Porsche 997 doesn’t sound exclusive enough for you, the German sports car maker has a new limited edition model ready to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show that is based on the 911s of yesterday with its Carrera RS inspired duck tail spoiler and 21st century Fusch style wheels. The very exclusive edition Carrera Classic is limited to only 250 units with sales scheduled to being in 2010, with prices starting at 169,300 euro.
The Porsche 911 Sport Classic is based on the rear wheel drive Carrera S and comes with a few new body pieces and a wider body in the rear to house the almost 2 inch wider track. The Carrera Classic is powered by a 3.8 Liter direct injected horizontally opposed six cylinder engine that thanks to the introduction of the new intake manifold that features six vacuum controlled flaps that increases the 911s maximum output by a total of 23 HP, bringing the Carrera Classic’s max power up to 408 HP.
Other technologies included in this special edition are: PCCB Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, PASM sports suspension lowering the entire car by almost an inch, the mechanical rear differential housed inside of the transaxle, a custom made set of 19 inch rims and a pair of stripes that run down the middle.

As we are used by now, Porsche’s model follow a certain order, being restyled and updated every few years. And of course the Boxster is no exception. With the new Cayenne GTS, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, is reiterating the successful Cayenne series’ prominence in the sporty SUV segment. The model, which celebrates its world debut at the IAA in Frankfurt, features an enhanced 4.8-liter V8, has been lowered by 24 millimeters and has a specially developed chassis: it is the first Cayenne to feature the electronically controlled damping system, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), with steel springs. This combination was previously reserved exclusively for Porsche sports cars.
Thirty-five years ago Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, architect of the classic design of the Porsche 911, launched the Porsche Design Studio. Among his first signature creations was the Chronograph 1, a special timepiece in a stylish black finish, a most striking design element of its day. Porsche commemorates this innovative design with the unveiling of its classic black Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
