A New Porsche 911 Is Coming But What Is It?

Is this the next-generation 911 GT3 or a different model altogether?

Remember when the folks over a Bring a Trailer teased an upcoming Porsche GT model? It happened back in September 2020, when the website started a bidding auction for the mysterious car, through which the will had the opportunity to secure a build slot. The auction has since been suspended for unknown reasons, but the ad featured a concealed car that looked a lot like a 911 with some sort of spoiler at the rear. Come February and Porsche released a statement that this "new member of the 911 GT family" will be unveiled on February 26. Is this the new-generation 911 GT3 or some sort of limited-edition model? Let’s find out!

2022 Porsche 911 Safari

2022 Porsche 911 Safari

It seems Porsche is finally building the off-road 911 you’ve been asking for all these years

The 2022 Porsche 911 Safari is a rumored, upcoming variant of the company’s iconic sports car. Far from confirmed for production, the 911 Safari has been spotted testing on public roads a few times since late 2020, a sign that Porsche is considering some sort of 911 with a raised suspension. The Safari name isn’t official either, it’s just based on a nickname given to a handful of rally-spec cars that Porsche built in the past. The German company also created a 911 Vision Safari concept in 2012, but it kept it hidden from us until November 2020, when it unveiled numerous never-before-seen show cars and designs. Is Porsche actually working on a production 911 Safari. If so, what will it bring to the table? Let’s try and answer these questions in the speculative review below.

Is this our first look at a road-going Porsche 911 Safari?

The iconic 935 Moby Dick is making a comeback with all-electric power

The iconic Porsche 935, first unveiled in 1976, made a comeback in 2019, when the German carmaker built a modern version based on the 991-generation GT2 RS. Only 77 were built and sold like hot cakes. Come 2021 and Bisimoto Engineering is working on its own tribute to the iconic 935, this time around in all-electric format and a slightly more modern design. Can the Porsche 911 Turbo S Be Faster With Less Weight?

What we can expect from the lightweight 911 Turbo S?

The new 992 generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo S is already a fact and is faster than ever. Porsche also announced some interesting future plans for the Turbo S. Sometime in the second half of 2021, a lightweight version of the Turbo S might be coming.

Given that the Turbo S is already mind-blowingly fast, it’s interesting to see how much more performance the engineers would be able to squeeze. Would we get a stripped-down, more track-focused “Superleggera” version? To get an idea of what we should expect, it’s worth looking at the brand’s more track-oriented 911 – the GT3.

By 2024, Your Porsche 911 Might Not Run On Gasoline Anymore

The Porsche 911 might not run on gas, but it won’t be electric either. What’s going on?

Earlier in November 2020, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume revealed that the German firm is developing a new synthetic fuel as a strategy to keep its old sports cars on the road. With emission regulations becoming stricter and with most automakers now shifting toward electrification, cars with internal combustion engines may no longer be road-legal in 20 years. Porsche wants to solve this problem with a new synthetic fuel that will replace gasoline in internal combustion cars, reducing CO2 emissions and keeping them on the road longer. While this isn’t exactly news, the fact that Porsche will convert the 911 to this type of fuel in 2024 is!
