The Porsche Cayman GT4 Touring Could Be The Perfect Sports Car
Some time ago, a very interesting Porsche Cayman was spotted out testing. Remember the photos at the end of October of what we believed was the Cayman T prototype? Now with the four-cylinder Cayman T and Boxter T revealed we know that that was not the case and that it was something else instead. This begs the question, is Porsche working on a Cayman GT4 Touring?
A New Porsche 911 Is Coming But What Is It?
Remember when the folks over a Bring a Trailer teased an upcoming Porsche GT model? It happened back in September 2020, when the website started a bidding auction for the mysterious car, through which the will had the opportunity to secure a build slot. The auction has since been suspended for unknown reasons, but the ad featured a concealed car that looked a lot like a 911 with some sort of spoiler at the rear. Come February and Porsche released a statement that this "new member of the 911 GT family" will be unveiled on February 26. Is this the new-generation 911 GT3 or some sort of limited-edition model? Let’s find out!
Porsche Could Be Working on a New Gas-Powered Sports Car With Gullwing Doors and Split Rear Glass
This isn’t the first time we’ve been intrigued by a patent filed by a given carmaker. Remember when Toyota submitted a patent for a streamlined vehicle that had a propeller mounted to its rear? Well, Porsche’s latest idea is way cooler and more down-to-Earth, as it involves gullwing doors.
2022 Porsche 911 Safari
The 2022 Porsche 911 Safari is a rumored, upcoming variant of the company’s iconic sports car. Far from confirmed for production, the 911 Safari has been spotted testing on public roads a few times since late 2020, a sign that Porsche is considering some sort of 911 with a raised suspension. The Safari name isn’t official either, it’s just based on a nickname given to a handful of rally-spec cars that Porsche built in the past. The German company also created a 911 Vision Safari concept in 2012, but it kept it hidden from us until November 2020, when it unveiled numerous never-before-seen show cars and designs. Is Porsche actually working on a production 911 Safari. If so, what will it bring to the table? Let’s try and answer these questions in the speculative review below.
It Looks Like Porsche Really Is Working On a New 911 Safari!
A high-riding Porsche 911 prototype was recently seen gallivanting around the streets of Germany, adding fuel to the fire that the German automaker might offer a 911 Safari. In 2012, Porsche discreetly built a 911 Safari, but it was a one-off prototype that the public didn’t know about until it was featured in the Porsche Unseen web series back in November 2020. Is this our first look at a road-going Porsche 911 Safari?
This Electric Porsche 935 Moby Dick Is Going Into Production
The iconic Porsche 935, first unveiled in 1976, made a comeback in 2019, when the German carmaker built a modern version based on the 991-generation GT2 RS. Only 77 were built and sold like hot cakes. Come 2021 and Bisimoto Engineering is working on its own tribute to the iconic 935, this time around in all-electric format and a slightly more modern design. It’s called Moby X, a reference to the old 935/78 nicknamed Moby Dick for its longtail design.
Can the Porsche 911 Turbo S Be Faster With Less Weight?
The new 992 generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo S is already a fact and is faster than ever. Porsche also announced some interesting future plans for the Turbo S. Sometime in the second half of 2021, a lightweight version of the Turbo S might be coming.
Given that the Turbo S is already mind-blowingly fast, it’s interesting to see how much more performance the engineers would be able to squeeze. Would we get a stripped-down, more track-focused “Superleggera” version? To get an idea of what we should expect, it’s worth looking at the brand’s more track-oriented 911 – the GT3.
This 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car Has a Very Ironic Camo
Porsche is about to launch the first race car based on the 992-generation 911. It’s called the 911 GT3 Cup and will be raced in the company’s already iconic and popular one-make series. The latest 911 GT3 Cup is still being tested, so Porsche is only showing us a camouflaged version. But while the car may appear wrapped in the usual swirly camo seen on most prototypes out there, it actually hides abstract maps of the race track on which the one-series is held.

Porsche has already shown a lightly camouflaged version of the new 911 GT3, but it’s still delaying the official unveiling. The presentation car, which we already know it’s painted blue, is being kept in the company’s GT Hall, a big room where several GT3 and GT2 models from the past are being preserved. Chris Harris recently got the chance to visit the hall together with 911 GT3 mastermind Andreas Preuninger and got a glimpse at the uncamouflaged car.
The 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Debuts Unexpectedly With An N/A Engine And Manual Gearbox
A few days ago, the upcoming Porsche 911 GT3 was unveiled ahead of time through a series of leaked photos that showed parts of the exterior and the cabin. As it turns out, those pictures were screenshots of an exclusive first look video that Carfection made with the 911 GT3 and Porsche’s Andreas Preuninger. The video is out, and we can finally take a closer look at the company’s track-prepped GT.
By 2024, Your Porsche 911 Might Not Run On Gasoline Anymore
Earlier in November 2020, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume revealed that the German firm is developing a new synthetic fuel as a strategy to keep its old sports cars on the road. With emission regulations becoming stricter and with most automakers now shifting toward electrification, cars with internal combustion engines may no longer be road-legal in 20 years. Porsche wants to solve this problem with a new synthetic fuel that will replace gasoline in internal combustion cars, reducing CO2 emissions and keeping them on the road longer. While this isn’t exactly news, the fact that Porsche will convert the 911 to this type of fuel in 2024 is!

The Porsche 911 Won’t Go Hybrid For Fuel Efficiency - That’s For Sure
A hybrid version of the Porsche 911 has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Most rumors hinted that the 911 will go hybrid during the current 992 generation, but it seems that Porsche is in no hurry to electrify the iconic sports car. According to company CEO Oliver Blume, the 911 won’t go hybrid anytime soon and if it happens, an electric motor will be added to enhance performance and not to increase fuel economy.
