On August 29th, the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 kicks off and it is scheduled to run through September 9th. For this upcoming show, TOPCAR has put together an entrant in the form of a 2012 Porsche Panamera customized to the gills. This Porsche Panamera Stingray GTR is actually the 9th edition of 25 upcoming Stingray GTR models.
We are not necessarily huge fans of the Panamera and even less of fans when it comes to customized models. So many companies tend to go way overboard restyling the Panamera and they actually end up taking away the little character that this Porsche sedan actually has.
TOP CAR has taken to this Panamera from top to bottom, decking out its interior, exterior, engine, and even the brakes in an attempt to not just make it look better, but run with the best of them. Can TOP CAR really pull off the nearly impossible by handing us a well-designed Panamera with accents where they need to be, or did they just roll out another Panamera hack-job like we usually see?

The Porsche 550 saw production from 1953 through 1956 as both a spyder and a coupe model. Both models saw use primarily in racing, but they also saw limited sale in the public. The most famous 550 was James Deans’ “Little Bastard,” which ended up being the car that he was killed in.
Despite its somber history, the 550 is one of the most desired Porsches, garnering upwards of $3.7 million for the 550-01 – the first 550 built. Well, not every car buff has multiple millions of dollars, but just about every one wants to get his or her hands on the 550-01. Vintech has solved this quandary by releasing its P550 Tribute – “P550” standing for “Porsche 550,” of course.
Many tribute cars end up being complete failures and do more damage than good, and the 550 is one tough car to mimic. So how does Vintech’s version stack up?

When Porsche launched the Panamera, we were a little shocked, but the novelty has quickly worn off and we are now pretty much indifferent about it. The biggest issue that makes the Panamera such an afterthought is the fact that it’s not really cool. Sure it’s a sedan, but sedans can still be pretty bad-ass (see: Tesla Model S,Ford Taurus SHO, etc.)
Germany’s No Limit Custom, a motorcycle customization shop, has shifted its focus from building awesome bikes to modifying sports cars. One of its newest models released is a modification kit to the Porsche Panamera, which it dubbed the GP-970. NLC claims this kit fits every style of Panamera to date: the Panamera, Panamera S, Panamera S Hybrid, Panamera 4/4S, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo, and Panamera Turbo S.
For the most part, the GP-970 kit is only to increase the appearance and aerodynamics of the already relatively powerful Panamera. As with many body kits, there is a fine line between improving the car and completely ruining it, which is what we need to take a look at.

Back in the early years of Porsche, technology was very limited and cars were, of course, far simpler than they are today. This meant that they also typically had much less power than today’s cars. There is no better example of said simplicity than looking at a Porsche from the 1950s and comparing it to today’s Porsches.
The most beloved Porsche of the `50s is far and away the 1600 Sportster. This compact roadster was far from fast, but it was always regarded as a nimble a fun-to-drive car. The 356A Sportster of the late 1950s is actually given a lion’s share of the credit for revolutionizing the sports car realm and showed that a car doesn’t need to be high-powered to be fun to drive.
With only 2,922 Speedsters ever built, it has become a true collector’s item that garners a ton of attention and money, especially when one hits the auction block. Well, that is exactly what we have, as RM Auctions is selling off a 1957 Porsche 356A 1600 Speedster in Monterey, California on August 17th and 18th, 2012.

The link between Brumos and Porsche dates back to the 1950s, when it was one of the first Porsche dealers to purchase cars from Porsche of America. In the 1960s, Brumos, under the direction of its new owner, took the company from a dealership to the top of the racing world with its high-performance Porsches.
Brumos went on to become one of the most successful racing teams in road racing history and in Porsche history. In 2011, Brumos had yet another great racing season, taking home the Rolex GRAND-AM GT Championship and adding to its legacy. In commemoration of this victory, Brumos is having five special edition 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racecars manufactured and they will offer them for sale in their dealership in Jacksonville, FL.
This just isn’t any old GT3 Cup car that a racing team can order from Porsche. This one is special in many ways, including a nice bump in power and some special styling specially ordered by Brumos. The big question is whether this is a true performer on the track or if this is nothing more than a pretty trailer queen to haul to car shows.
