2021 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid "RS" Coupe
The internet has been buzzing with rumours about a racy Porsche Panamera “Lion” that packs between 760 and 800+ horsepower taking the Nurburgring by storm. It has been reported that the test prototype packed a boosted version of the S-E Hybrid powertrain found in the regular Panamera, while some said it relied on an ICE-only powertrain. All this chatter was immediately followed by rumors about a hotter Porsche Cayenne Turbo S-E Hybrid said to wear the “RS” badge; in fact, some outlets out there are forwarding the “GT” lettering instead, but that’s not the most relevant aspect for the moment.
What got us really interested has to do with the set of pictures sent in by our spy photographers. The photos show a camouflage-free Porsche Cayenne Coupe test prototype of sorts that wears a flashy body colour and contrasting brake calipers. What made us interest pique even more is the rear bumper/exhaust setup configuration, which sports a dual-pipe arrangement in the center unseen so far on a road-going Cayenne. Oh, and those rectangular side-positioned exhausts? They’re fake.
2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe is a sleek, coupe-style version of the familiar Cayenne SUV and the German company’s competitor for the BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, and the Audi Q8. Unveiled in 2019, it goes on sale for the 2020 model year with drivetrains borrowed from the regular Cayenne. Design-wise, it has a much sleeker rear end, but Porsche also altered the front fascia, which looks a bit more aggressive than the regular SUV.
Aimed at premium crossovers built by German companies, the Cayenne Coupe benefits from all the features available with the regular Cayenne. However, this SUV offers limited headroom for rear-seat passengers and has a slightly smaller trunk. Does it have what it takes to give the X6, GLE Coupe, and Q8 a run for their money? 2020 Porsche Macan S
The company’s smallest crossover yet, the Porsche Macan arrived in 2014 and slotted under the highly popular Cayenne. After four years on the market, the compact SUV was updated to mid-cycle specifications. The Macan S is very similar to the base model we saw hit the spotlight earlier in 2018 on the outside. It’s identical inside the cabin as well save for the trim-specific features. However, it’s a different story under the hood, as the "S" badge comes in tow with a larger, 3.0-liter V-6. What’s more, while the four-banger lost a few horses with the facelift, the V-6 delivers a bit more power and torque.

2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo by TechArt
TechArt cut its teeth in the tuning world developing programs for Porsche models. Now it has a new one for the Cayenne Turbo, and it’s even partnered with high-end furniture maker Rolf Benz to develop the program. Exterior, interior, and drivetrain upgrades are all part of the menu, though there’s a good chance that all anybody’s going to be talking about is Rolf Benz’s involvement in the program.
2019 Porsche Macan
Introduced in 2014, the Porsche Macan is the company’s second SUV. Slotted below the popular Cayenne, it’s also Porsche’s smallest crossover yet. The German firm updated the Macan for the 2019 model year, calling it a second-generation model.
When Porsche decided to step into the SUV segment with the Cayenne, Porsche purists weren’t all that happy, expecting the brand to soldier on with different 911 variants until times end. But, the Cayenne turned out to be a huge success, and the German brand decided to come out with a compact model named the Macan. While not as popular as the Cayenne, the Macan was also met with great enthusiasm. Porsche delivered more than 350,000 units from 2014 until 2018, with more than 25 percent of them shipped to China. As a result, the Germans paid big attention to this upgrade and made significant changes inside and out. Unfortunately, those of you who expected more powerful engines will be disappointed. 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid
Porsche updated the Cayenne for the 2018 model year, but the hybrid version wasn’t quite ready. Now that the 2019 models are about to roll into dealers, Porsche has finally pulled the covers off of the new 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid, a direct replacement for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid. It brings some serious improvements to the table over its predecessor and the standard Cayenne too. We’re talking about things like faster acceleration, more electric range, better efficiency, and increased power, among other things. It also brings all of the new styling cues and technology introduced with the 2018 Cayenne to the hybrid market.
2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
Porsche has a history of making absurd vehicles, but this might take the cake – at least for now. It’s the new 2019 Cayenne Turbo and it packs 550 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged V-8 that turns all four wheels while four-wheel steering and active aero bodywork scramble to keep it pointing straight. Think of it as the playboy’s version of the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Porsche pulled the covers off the new high-powered SUV at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to a crowd of gleeful onlookers. No doubt people fawn on whatever Porsche attaches its crest too, including tall SUVs and four-door sedans with a hybrid powertrain. Granted, the German automaker generally knows how to screw a vehicle together, but Porsche has certainly been carving out new territory over the last 17 years. As for the new Cayenne Turbo, well, it’s muy caliente, so keep reading for the juicy details. You’ll find it includes rear-wheel steering, a new three-chamber air suspension, and a 48-volt electronic roll stabilization system.

2018 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche has ushered in a third generation of the Porsche Cayenne, but before you get too excited, you should be aware of the fact that it looks quite a bit lot its predecessor. Now, this isn’t because Porsche was lazy. No. This is because the Cayenne went through an extensive update just back in 2015, so after three years it was time to make some changes while leaving the relatively fresh body intact with just little extras here and there. As such Porsche focused its energy on what happens beneath the skin bringing updated or new technology that includes rear axle steering as standard equipment, a three-chamber suspension, 48-volt electronic roll stabilization, and two new engines that offer up more power and better economy. At the skin level, we see a revised interior and exterior that is really more of a honing to the previous layout than an update, but it’s exactly what the Cayenne needed to take its respective segment by storm in 2018.
For now, there are only two trim levels available – the base level Cayenne and the Cayenne S. Like the second-gen model, it will likely take a couple of years, but Porsche should fill the lineup with a diesel and a plug-in hybrid variant at some point. There’s also the potential for an all-electric model at some point in this generation if Porsche really gets froggy, but we’ll leave that speculation for another time. For now, let’s take a good look and the new Cayenne and talk about all of the exciting changes that will carry it into the next decade.
2017 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport "Edition 30 Years" by TechArt
Regardless of what you may think of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, there’s no denying the SUV has made a significant impact in the auto industry. But now that the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is set to replace the Cayenne Turbo S as the flagship model of the SUV line, there’s no better way to give the gas-powered SUV the perfect swan song by putting it in the hands of TechArt, the German tuner of all things Porsche. Serendipitously, TechArt’s latest program for the Cayenne Turbo S comes at a time when the tuner is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Put these two events together and you’re presented with the “Edition 30 Years” special edition version of TechArt’s Magnum Sport program for the Cayenne. Among the many new features is 720 horsepower and 678 pound-feet of torque.
Consider that insane torque number for a second. Not only does TechArt’s program add 88 pound-feet of twist to the Cayenne, but the resulting output also puts it head and shoulders above the 627 pound-feet of torque capabilities of the Porsche Cayenne Diesel, which just set a Guinness world record by successfully pulling a 314-ton Airbus A380. Imagine then what the Edition 30 Years version of TechArt’s Magnum program is capable of when afforded the same opportunity.

2017 Porsche Macan Turbo with Performance Package
The Porsche Macan came to be in 2014 and arrived in dealerships as the company’s second SUV, after the Cayenne. Aimed at the luxury compact crossover market, the Macan is Porsche’s answer to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, sharing the same platform with the latter. Produced alongside the Cayenne and Panamera in Leipzig, the Macan is available in many drivetrain configurations. The range begins with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder model, the first in the modern era before the Cayman and Boxster received their new flat-four mills, while the S and GTS feature 3.0-liter V-6 units. Porsche also offers a diesel powered by a V-6, while the Turbo gets a larger 3.6-liter V-6. Come 2016 and the Germans introduced a new range-topping model, called the Performance Package.
Based on the Turbo model, the Performance Package is the most powerful Macan to date and also comes with a number of unique features inside and out. Besides a more powerful version of the twin-turbo, 3.6-liter V-6 unit, it also sports an updated chassis with an enhanced braking system and a sport exhaust system. There’s no word as to whether the Performance Package is limited-edition only or will become a permanent member of the Macan lineup, but the good news is that it’s available in the United States. Granted, it’s name is rather uninspired when Porsche could have used the Turbo S moniker, but who are we to argue company naming and marketing schemes.
Bottom line is, Porsche has a bonkers crossover for its customers at a time when no other automaker is able to offer a similar vehicle with more than 400 horsepower. Touché, pussycat!

2016 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition
Introduced in 2002, the Cayenne was Porsche’s first-ever SUV, and despite being heavily criticized for going against the company’s tradition as a sports car manufacturer, the performance people hauler is credited for saving Porsche from financial downfall. The popular SUV was redesigned in 2010 and the second-gen model received its mid-cycle facelift for 2015, when all models, including the hybrid, gained updated or brand-new drivetrains. For 2016, Porsche is expanding the Cayenne lineup with the Platinum Edition.
Available for the base Cayenne and the S E-Hybrid version, the Platinum package gives the crossover a sportier appearance by means of 911-spec wheels, beefier fenders, blacked-out chrome, and a special color palette. Inside, it adds more features to the usual standard equipment list, enhancing comfort and safety. Both models carry the same engine as their standard siblings under the hood, but that’s far form surprising given the recent update. With 300 and 416 horsepower at their disposal, respectively, that’s hardly an issue.
Both vehicles will arrive in U.S. showrooms in 2016, expanding the North American Cayenne lineup to no fewer than eight models.

Porsche has updated its ever-popular Cayenne Turbo with a refresh for the 2015 model year, blessing the uber-SUV with several exterior styling tweaks, a slightly revised interior package, and a more powerful (yet somehow more fuel efficient) drivetrain.
The Cayenne first broke cover way back in 2002, much to the annoyance of Porsche purists (you know, the folks who still think liquid-cooled engines are for chumps). Despite representing a clear departure from convention, the Cayenne blended high-performance with expanded utility, and quickly became a staple of the Porsche catalog, selling more than 276,000 examples in its first generation. Not long afterwards, many high-end manufacturers followed suit, and now, the performance SUV is a hugely common sight on the road.
Porsche wants Cayenne owners to “commute to work today and drive off-road or on the racetrack tomorrow.” It’s a combination that seems contradictory, but the Turbo claims to get it done with comfort, speed, and now, a little efficiency as well.

Launched in late 2013 for the 2014 model year, the brand-new Macan received the love it deserves from Porsche Exclusive a few months after reaching U.S. and European dealerships. In case you missed it, I’m talking about this Sapphire Blue Metallic-painted crossover that proves the Macan is as customizable as any other Porsche. Come 2015, the Macan is already waging war against the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 on roads the world over. The folks over at Porsche Exclusive turned to the Turbo model to showcase their wares.
The scenario is pretty much the same. The crossover is wrapped in a bespoke color that’s not available as standard, while the exterior and the interior have several goodies, ranging from blackened body parts to carbon-fiber inserts to a sporty instrument cluster. However, the presence of the turbocharged V-6 engine with its massive output under the hood makes this Porsche Exclusive Macan a more enticing alternative to the blue Macan S we saw back in 2014.
