2020 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition
RAM’s penchant for rolling out special edition trucks has paved the way for the truck brand to introduce a new run of special edition models that pay tribute to the five branches of the United States military. The special edition trucks fall under the RAM 1500 Built To Serve Edition name. Each of the five armed services — Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines — will receive their own special edition treatment. It’s unclear which of the five will get rolled out first, but the specific launches will take place every three months, beginning next week when the truck brand hosts its own Veterans Day celebration on November 11.
2019 RAM 1500 Rebel Off the Grid Concept by Mopar
Aftermarket companies love SEMA. It is the one hot spot that garners attention from all over the world and allows aftermarket companies to highlight their creations without worrying about automakers stealing the limelight. Mopar, one of the biggest aftermarket parts suppliers (and one that is backed by Dodge,) is gracing the show with its presence. The company has worked on two trucks, one being the Dodge Lowliner Concept, and the other one, the Ram Rebel 1500 OTG. OTG, by the way, stands for Off The Grid. Unlike the Lowliner, the Rebel 1500 OTG is a practical concept and could very well make its way into production. Will Ram consider making it a mainstream model?
2019 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn
Even though Ram is the newest member in the truck segment (if you don’t count the years "Ram" was a model under the Dodge umbrella), it cannot be taken for granted. Given the kind of products it has in its portfolio, you will be surprised to know that the company is just nine years old. Ram is essentially a by-product of Dodge and is a fully-owned subsidiary of the FCA. Don’t mistake it to be a rookie or a newb by any means. The name might be new, but the company has been building trucks since the 1970s under the name ’Fargo trucks’ which was sold outside the United States. The 2019 Ram model sees a few changes. These trucks became an overnight sensation when Ram announced a 1,000 pound-foot of torque figure for the 3500 series. The Ram 2500 doesn’t boast that, but it still has a lot going in its favor to be deemed as a potent threat to the Blue Oval and the Bowtie.
2019 Ram Heavy Duty Kentucky Derby Special Edition
The 145th Kentucky Derby is coming up on May 4th, and Ram is celebrating with the release of a fresh limited run of its popular Heavy Duty truck. Making its big debut at the 2019 New York Auto Show, the new special-edition workhorse gets a few unique exterior styling bits, extra interior comfort-enhancers, and a raft of standard gear to make hauling your four-legged investments even easier.

The battle of the trucks is never-ending. We have seen multiple players step in the ring, but none of them could get anywhere close to the products with the Blue Oval logo slapped on them. For the 2019 model year, Ram decided to drop a bomb and declare war on the competition by launching a truck with four-digit torque figures! Can things get any crazier?
2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty By Mopar
The 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty by Mopar is a concept truck that showcases Mopar’s new line of accessories for FCA’s latest heavy-duty workhorse. Unveiled at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, it previews already available and upcoming accessories from this iconic customization brand.
The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty is a brand-new truck for the 2020 model year. Unveiled at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, it arrived just a month ahead of the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado HD and the facelifted Ford F-Series Super Duty. For the time being, the Ram Heavy Duty is the only truck of its kind offered with factory-installed accessories, a valuable advantage until Chevy and Ford roll out their out features.
2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
With more than seven decades of history to draw on, the Ram Power Wagon is well established as a big, badass, burly mother trucker of an off-roader. Originally based on Dodge’s 3/4-ton military service vehicles from World War II, the modern Power Wagon is far more luxury-laden and tech-heavy than its predecessors, but it keeps the same endlessly capable undercurrent as before with a host of off-road ready gear.
2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn Low Down Concept
The 2018 SEMA Auto Show played host to a pair of custom-tuned Ram 1500 pickup trucks, including one that goes by the name “Low Down.” Based on the 1500 Big Horn trim level, the Low Down is what happens when you raid Mopar’s parts bin for equipment that can be used to give the 1500 Big Horn a more “slammed-to-the-streets” styling direction. It doesn’t do anything to emphasize the 1500 Big Horn’s masculinity, but it does give it a new urban look that plays well in the underground street racer culture. All it needs is a little nitro boost — perhaps machine guns, too? — and it’ll fit right into the kind of cars you normally see in the Fast and Furious franchise.
2019 Ram 1500 By Mopar
It’s been just a month since Ram debuted the brand-new 1500 pickup truck at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, and FCA is already offering a wide range of aftermarket parts and accessories. Showcased on a concept truck at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, these new accessories cover everything from the exterior and interior to the drivetrain and the chassis. Most of them will become available in a few months, so you can start planning a Moparized model if you’re not happy with the standard and optional Ram features.
Described as an "outdoor, sport-themed truck," this Mopar-specced vehicle sports a unique, slightly more aggressive exterior, a more upscale interior, and lift kit that turns it into a more capable off-road explorer. The parts and accessories are taken from a list of around 200 items that can be purchased from Mopar via FCA dealerships. That’s quite a big selection, unlike anything you get from the competition. 2019 Ram 1500
The 2019 Ram 1500 is completely new from the tow hooks to the hitch and wears a new design that departs from the iconic crosshair grille of the last 25 years. It rides on an all-new frame that’s lighter and stronger, boasts a new interior that’s far more user-friendly and luxurious, and has a new mild hybrid system on both its 3.6-liter V-6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V-8.
The truck moves into its fifth generation for 2019 and doubles down on every major selling point in a bid to win market share from Ford and General Motors. Weight has been reduced by 225 pounds, the frame is built from 98 percent high-strength steel for increased payload and towing, and the segment’s first-ever deployable front air dam will work in conjunction with the mild hybrid systems to improve fuel economy. Ram will continue offering its popular 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6, too, but with more power and torque.
The Ram Rebel returns, as well, but with more off-road equipment and twice the attitude. The other familiar trims include the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited.
While pricing hasn’t been announced, the 2019 Ram 1500 will arrive in showrooms by the end of Q1 of 2018. That means we don’t have long to wait.

2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Blue Streak
The Ram 1500 Rebel is one of the baddest, most audacious trucks in the half-ton segment thanks to its mean mug, steel bumpers, tall ground clearance, off-road tires, and custom interior. The Rebel package might be a couple years old now, but Ram isn’t slowing down. Just ahead of the ahead of the 2017 New York Auto Show, Ram has released two special edition models for its 1500 pickup – the Sublime Sport and this, the Rebel Blue Streak. This special edition model fittingly comes with Blue Streak paint and can be had with the Rebel Black appearance package and optional two-tone paint scheme.
“The Ram 1500 Sublime Sport and Rebel Blue Streak expand our offerings in factory-custom trucks and give dealers a more extensive color palette to excite customers who are looking for something unique,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand.
Basically, the Rebel Blue Streak is a no-cost option on every Ram 1500 Rebel configuration and includes the Blue Streak paint. Customers can make their truck look more one-off with the other optional packages, including the Rebel Black. When optioned, the truck comes with the performance hood with black decals; black wheels; a black grille and lower brush guard; and black badging on the doors and tailgate.

2017 Ram 1500 Sublime Sport
The Ram 1500 might be long in the tooth, but that’s not stopping Ram from injecting fun into its pickup. Ahead of the 2017 New York Auto Show, Ram has released two special edition models for its 1500 pickup – the Rebel Blue Streak and this, the Sublime Sport. This special edition model comes with can’t-miss-it paint, 22-inch wheels, and black accents.
“The Ram 1500 Sublime Sport and Rebel Blue Streak expand our offerings in factory-custom trucks and give dealers a more extensive color palette to excite customers who are looking for something unique,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand.
Those familiar with Fiat Chrysler’s lineup shouldn’t be surprised at the bright color. We’ve seen Dodge and Jeep products wearing similarly fluorescent colors. Ram is limiting the Sublime Sport package to roughly 3,000 examples. Only the Ram 1500 Crew Cab with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 can be ordered with the package.

2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Night Package
Ram has introduced its latest “custom” truck appearance package, and this time, it’s the Ram Heavy Duty trucks getting some love. The new special edition is called the Night Package, and its available for 2500 and 3500 HD Rams with the single rear wheels. The new look includes blacked out exterior trim pieces, black wheels, the massive R-A-M logo on the tailgate, and a murdered out interior with smoked chrome accents.
The Night Package builds of the Sport Appearance Package – an available add-on to the Lone Star, Big Horn, and Laramie trims, which appeals to those wanting a well-equipped, good-looking truck with some unique character. Ram Trucks boss, Mike Manley, put it this way:
“Truck enthusiasts look for ways to stand out from the crowd. The Ram brand understands that it’s important to meet the demands and deliver outstanding, durable products to every type of truck buyer. From the Ram Sport, to the popular Rebel, to the ultimate off-road truck – the Ram Power Wagon – Ram is building the best trucks in the enthusiast segment.”
Of course, those getting a Night Package Ram Heavy Duty will get all the goodies that make the Ram HD one of the most competitive trucks in the segment. This includes three engine options, the segment’s only available manual transmission, available 4WD, a multi-link coil spring suspension on 2500HD models, and the segment’s only solid front axle.

2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport
Ram is introducing a limited edition truck called the Ram 1500 Copper Sport at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. It combines the Crew Cab, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, large wheels, and a new color Ram appropriately calls Copper Pearl. Only 3,000 of the Copper Sport editions will be built and will begin arriving at dealerships in late February. The Copper Sport joins Ram’s other limited edition model, the 2017 Ram 1500 Ignition Orange.
The Ram 1500 Copper Sport is based on the Crew Cab, short bed Ram 1500 in the Sport trim and includes the venerable 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 with a respectable 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The ZF eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard, as does rear-wheel drive. Ram’s part-time 4WD system is optional.

2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is no stranger to kicking out special editions of products. We’ve even seen special editions of special editions – and that’s exactly what’s happening here. Introducing the Ram 1500 Rebel Black. This truck builds on the Ram 1500 Rebel by adding several black accent pieces both inside and out. Nothing of the Rebel’s impressive off-road capability is lost, so it continues to be one of the most bodacious option packages available on any full-size pickup.
The Rebel Black shares its bones with the standard Ram 1500 Rebel. That means it comes with the bold R-A-M grille with its unique snout, stamped steel bumper, fender flares, sport hood, Rebel-specific wheels, and huge R-A-M lettering across the tailgate.
The special edition package is only offered with the Ram Crew Cab powered by the venerable 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 or the respectable 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. Both engine choices come backed by the TorqFlite 8 eight-speed automatic transmission. Despite its off-road theme, the Ram Rebel can be had in RWD or 4WD.
Regardless of engine or drivetrain choice, the Rebel’s claims to fame remain. They include the mild factory lift kit with air ride, 33-inch all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, underbody skid plates, front tow hooks, and limited slip rear differential.
“Adding the Rebel Black package to an already aggressive off-road truck will continue feeding the momentum Rebel is creating for the Ram Truck brand,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA Global. “The Ram Rebel is unique in the full-size truck segment.”

2017 Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport
Launched side-by-side with the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand package at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show, the 2017 Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport model is a limited-edition truck with tons of bright colors, decals, black accents, and a surprisingly customized interior meant to appeal to the more “expressive” truck buyer. This thing ain’t quite – that’s for sure.
The Ignition Orange Sport is based on the Ram 1500 Crew Cab with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and eight-speed automatic in either 2WD or 4WD.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Ignition Orange package before, though. Ram introduced the special edition for the 2015 model year. That truck had many of the same features that’s on the 2017 model, including the bright orange paint, the matte black hood graphics, blacked out badges, and orange accents throughout the interior. For 2017 though, Ram dumped the bright aluminum wheels in favor of glossy black 20-inch rollers that match the other black accents around the exterior.
The Ignition Orange Sport also lives up to its “limited edition” branding. Ram will only produce 1,500 examples. Prices are not terrible, however, with the Ignition Orange 1500 starting at $43,740. That includes the Crew Cab truck, the Hemi V-8, and all the bespoke Ignition Orange parts. What’s more, that’s actually $70 less expensive that the 2015 Ignition Orange model.

2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand
When Dodge converted the Ram name into its own brand, there was a period of uncertainty as to what would happen with the line of pickup trucks. But, the new brand really didn’t disappoint, developing some of the nicest trucks there are on the market that just look outright sexy. On top of that, each trim level is different in its own way, making the choice to purchase any given trim a very personal decision. When it comes to the Ram 1500 lineup, there are a total of nine different trims ranging from the classic-looking (by classic I mean circa 2004) Big Horn, all the way up to the range-topping Ram limited that is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi as standard and could quite possible end a marriage with its $52,000 price tag. But, the Ram 1500 range is growing a little bit with the introduction of some special edition models like the one you see here, the Ram 1500 Rebel Mohave Sand.
Based on the Ram Rebel, the Mojave Sand package brings an exclusive exterior finish to go with a special hood and roof decal and a very sleek and carefully appointed interior. It should start hitting dealerships in December of 2016, but if you like what you see, you need to move quickly as only 1,500 examples will be produced before the Ram calls it quits with this package. If you don’t get to the dealer in time to get one of these models, not all is lost as there is also a Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport Package that could suit your special-edition.

2017 Ram Power Wagon
The Ram Power Wagon is probably the brawniest truck on the market. It comes built on the Ram 2500 HD Crew Cab and boasts industry-exclusive off-road tech like solid axles, all-terrain tires, a manual transfer case, a disconnecting front sway bar, and a 12,000-pound Warn winch – all from the factory. Now for 2017, Ram is giving the Power Wagon a makeover courtesy of the Ram 1500 Rebel.
The Power Wagon’s front mug now wears a grille first seen on the Rebel, the Ram 1500’s most dedicated off-road trim package. New graphics on the Power Wagon’s sides, tailgate, and interior match the new snout.
While the looks might be different, the Power Wagon’s greasy bits are unchanged. This means the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission, 4WD system, frame, and suspension carry over from 2016. Of course, no one can complain about that – well, perhaps besides that the Power Wagon doesn’t offer the Cummins turbodiesel as an option. Thanks to the placement of the Warn winch, the Cummins’ intercooler won’t fit behind the bumper. That aside, the Power Wagon’s powertrain lives up to hype, generating impressive horsepower and torque numbers.
Also carrying over unchanged is the Power Wagon Tradesman trim level. The contractor- and feel-oriented truck uses all the same hardware, but foregoes the Rebel grille and showy graphics package. It’s all business with the Tradesman.

2016 Ram Macho Power Wagon
FCA has pulled out all the stops for the 2016 SEMA show. Its Jeep division brought the CJ66, Dodge brought the Durango Shaker and Shakedown Challenger, and Ram has injected testosterone into its Power Wagon. Meet the Macho Power Wagon Concept – a one-off truck built to showcase several Mopar concept pieces that might one day become available through FCA’s dealership network.
Ram started off with a 2017 Power Wagon and added quite a number of parts. Much of the focus is on the cargo bed where Ram is debuting its RamRack system. The adjustable rear rack allows for a wide range of hauling and tie-down options. When not in use, the rack slides under the sail panel tucked behind the cab.
Of course, it’s hard to miss the huge wheels and tires. The Power Wagon has an impressive four-inch lift to clear these 37-inch Nitto Trail Grappler MT tires mounted on 18-inch beadlock wheels. Custom fender flares keep off-road debris kicked up by the tires from scratching the bespoke Macho Mango paint job. Yes, Macho Mango is the color name. Don’t you love Mopar?
Other parts include the custom front bumper, side steps, and a one-off roof rack that complements the RamRack system. A custom hood finished off the look.

The current Ram Trucks lineup is filled with no less than nine trim levels, three weight classifications (1500, 2500, 3500), and more than a handful of specialty trucks like the Power Wagon and Outdoorsman. Now a new player enters the game: the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel.
It’s designed to be a fun-loving, adventurous rig with the heart of an off-roader and the guts to back it up. The truck gets a host of unique upgrades that separate it from the standard Ram 1500 lineup. Most noticeable is that new front grille and bumper. This marks the first time in memorable history Ram has departed from its iconic crosshair grille design. Large block lettering spell out “RAM” on the tailgate for those eating the Rebel’s dust.
Unique wheels and tires, a one-inch suspension lift, and a custom interior set the truck further apart. Offered with the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or the optional 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, the Rebel comes packing the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and available four-wheel drive. Sadly Ram does not offer the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel here. And yes, a two-wheel drive version is available when ordered with the Hemi.
Offered only in the Crew Cab configuration with the five-foot, seven-inch bed, the Rebel holds five people and tons of gear. The Ram Box cargo system is optional for those wanting even more space to put stuff.
Ram says the Rebel will go on sale early in the second half of 2015, so expect it in dealers in the late summer.

Ram Trucks has managed to eek out another mile per gallon from the already fuel-efficient Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup, proving the Detroit Auto Show wasn’t all about brawny off-road trucks. Ram’s new class-leading numbers are EPA-certified at 21 mpg city, 24 mpg combined, and 29 mpg highway. The upgraded mileage comes thanks to the HFE, or High Fuel Efficiency package. But technically, the Ram HFE is no different than any other Ram EcoDiesel, including its engine, transmission, and gearing specifications. It all comes down to equipment packaging and aerodynamics.
Engineers figured out the low-optioned Tradesman trim level combined with the shorter Quad Cab and six-foot, four-inch bed offers the slipperiest shape of the truck line. Add to that the prior knowledge of the wheel-to-wheel running boards and a tonneau cover’s ability to cut drag, and you’ve got the most aerodynamic Ram yet.
This makes the HFE a full 12 percent more efficient than the next-closest competitor, the 2.7-liter EcoBoost-powered 2015 Ford F-150, rated at 26 mpg highway.
For current Ram EcoDiesel owners, adding the same tri-fold tonneau cover and extended side steps would likely result in improved fuel economy as well. Just don’t expect 29 mpg with a four-wheel-drive, Crew Cab truck.
Thankfully Ram didn’t neuter the Ram of its towing and hauling capabilities with tall gears, skinny tires, or a wimpy ECU tune. The truck is still able to haul 1,614 pounds in the bed and tow 8,050 pounds on the hitch.
