The long-rumored Twingo CC will make its world debut on March 2nd at the Geneva Motor Show. But Renault decided to call it "Wind", a model that "brings a completely different take on a car for drivers who enjoy wind-in-the-hair motoring."

The new Wind is a two-seater coupe-roadster with a length of 3.83 meters and an electric roof that can be opened in just 12 seconds. The model is aimed at motorists who lust after a car that is not only distinctive and compact, but also convertible yet practical enough for everyday use.

Press release after the jump.

Renault Wind is a two-seater coupé-roadster of 3.83 metres in length which features a highly innovative way of opening up. With its novel electric roof that pivots open in just 12 seconds, Renault Wind brings a completely different take on a car for drivers who enjoy wind-in-the-hair motoring. Renault Wind is aimed at motorists who lust after a car that is not only distinctive and compact, but also convertible yet practical enough for everyday use.

Although Wind’s compact dimensions make it a nimble machine in and about town, it is the only car of its class to provide just as much luggage space (270dm3 VDA) whatever the position of the roof. True to Renault’s brand signature "Drive the Change", Wind makes passion affordable for everyone.

Renault Wind will be unveiled at a press conference on the Renault stand at the Geneva Motor Show at 4:15pm on March 2.

So simple but very appealing! Anyway, I’m as well curious on its design at the back? What was the purpose of that? It looks like a fan on that shape. smiley

Renault Wind is absolutely looks so striking and awesome on its cute platform and aesthetic design, but I’m quite wondering if its interior is comfortable and cozy enough?

Wait, it’s based on the Twingo? I never knew the 1996 Honda CR-X Del Sol was based on the twingo! How does this affect Renault’s relationship with Honda’s competitor, Nissan?

this car is so cute, it looks like a convertible sedan with a little body size, this car will be a hit for ladies and gentlemen who love HB cars.

Well, I’m not really that impressed with it. I mean, the rear and the rear luggage space seems so big when the hard top is up. It seems that when it’s time to bring it down, there will be no left space for even a small package.

renault should put this baby into production, this is a good answer to the growing oil price crisis and global warming.
