Rolls-Royce Ghost Special Edition In Detail

One of the teasers shows that a panda bear has been embroidered on the headrests. The embroidery is downright gorgeous, as the panda bear is depicted using a wide range of colors and shades, but we can't help wonder what crazy theme Rolls-Royce has chosen for this limousine. As far as the exterior is concerned, the Brits wrapped the Ghost in an exclusive, bronze-like color, with a delicate bamboo-leaf motif running across the vehicle's beltline.

Like with most special-edition RRs, this specific Ghost won't receive any drivetrain updates. This means it will benefit from the same 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque delivered by its humongous, 6.6-liter V-12. The unit mates to a ZF, eight-speed automatic transmission and pushes the huge sedan from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds. Pretty darn impressive!

Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II

Unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Ghost Series II is the first facelift operated on the full-size luxury car. Exterior enhancements include reshaped LED headlamps and a slightly enlarged air intake, while the interior gained a Spirit of Ecstasy rotary controller touchpad, redesigned seats, and revised dials.

The 6.6-liter, V-12 engine remained unchanged, meaning the Ghost carries the same 562 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of twist under its hood. These figures come with a 0-to-60-mph time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel economy sits at 13 mpg city and 15 mpg combined, not too shabby for a vehicle of this size and power.
