You may find it hard to believe, but standard versions of the Rolls-Royce Phantom,->ke1283 Ghost->ke3434 or Wraith->ke1710 sometimes aren't enough to satisfy the world's thirst for luxury and opulence. For this particular reason the British company established Bespoke, a division specialized in customizing every available Rolls-Royce->ke74 to customer specifications. Bespoke is responsible for a host of unique luxury vehicles->ke505 as of December 2014, most of which were delivered to China and the Middle East. As 2014 comes to an end, the Bespoke division is rolling out the Suhail Collection, yet another special-edition line distinguished by a unique exterior paint job and an exquisite interior finished in the most exotic materials Rolls-Royce has to offer.

A new Rolls-Royce by Bespoke model with an endless list of luxury features is always big news, but the Suhail Collection brings something new to the table. It's not some sort of revolutionary feature, but a privilege that allows this new package to adorn more than just one example of a certain model. Unlike other Bespoke collection, Suhail is available on three different Rolls-Royce models, including the Phantom, the Ghost, and the Wraith. Suhail is actually the first Bespoke collection worthy of the term "collection."

Numbers and availability aside, the Suhail collection wraps around a brand-new theme for Rolls-Royce, taking its inspiration from one of the brightest star constellations in the sky. Suhail also celebrates the work of 10th century Arabic mathematician, astronomer and physicist Ibn al-Haitham, the first scientist to realize that light enters the eye rather than leaving it. Obviously aimed at markets from the Middle East, the Suhail collection complements previous special-edition->ke2041 Bespoke vehicles released in 2014, including Year of the Horse, Pinnacle Travel, Waterspeed, Metropolitan and Maharajah.

Exterior

Much like most Bespoke packages, the Suhail Collection is about subtle exterior touches that include a custom paint job and special badges. All three models available with this collection are finished in a unique Moonstone Pearl color with a Turchese Blue coachline. The former evokes the color of the stars at night, while the latter is inspired by the color of the night sky when the Suhail constellation is visible. A Suhail star emblem placed on the front fenders rounds off the special livery that comes with the Suhail Collection.

Granted, these Rolls-Royces are far from flashy with only die-hard fans likely to recognize them on the street, but it's not like the Phantom, the Ghost and the Wraith aren't imposing enough as it is. The silver-like hue is actually a breath of fresh air considering the multitude of ostentatious Bespoke models Rolls-Royce has rolled out in recent months.

Interior

The interior is where the Suhail Collection really stands out. Nearly every surface is covered in Creme Light leather with Turchese Blue accents adding a dash of color to the otherwise white cabin. These accents are visible on both the seats and the door panels, mainly consisting of "RR" logos and Suhail star emblems. The center pieces of the door panels are completely blue for a stronger contrast.

Finished in Ash Burr, the wood dashboard comes with a Navy Blue instrument panel top and a Bespoke clock sporting the same color combo as the upholstery. The clock's face is finished in Creme Light and depicts the Suhail Ursa Minor and Major constellation, while the rectangular surround boasts the flashier Turchese Blue. Yet another Suhail star emblem in blue and yellow adorns the upper section of the center stack. The soft carpet floors come in Navy Blue, while a Starlight Headliner displays the entire Suhail constellation on the ceiling. The latter feature, however, is only available with the Phantom and Wraith models.

Needless to say, if you're into astronomy, the Rolls-Royce Suhail Collection's interior is a great place to be.

Drivetrain

The Suhail Collection package comes with no drivetrain modifications whatsoever, meaning all three models retain their standard specifications.

The massive Phantom model is equipped with Rolls-Royce's biggest powerplant: the 6.75-liter V-12. The mill generates 453 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, which allow the limousine to hit 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Top speed sits at 149 mph, which an impressive figure for a car that weighs in excess of 5,600 pounds.

Customers opting for the Ghost will hammer the company's 6.6-liter V-12. Mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic, the twelve-banger cranks out a massive 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet, pushing the Ghost from naught to 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds. The sedan reaches its top speed at 155 mph.

Lastly, the gorgeous Wraith coupe features the same 6.6-liter V-12 found in the Ghost, but with output increased to no less than 624 ponies and 590 pound-feet of twist. The luxury fastback needs 4.4 seconds to hit 60 mph from a stop and reaches a top speed of 186 mph. The same ZF eight-speed automatic handles the shifting.

Prices

As with most Bespoke-crafted Rolls-Royce cars, pricing for the Suhail Collection is only available upon request. And while we can't provide you with precise pricing information, we can assure that these vehicles don't come cheap, likely wearing stickers in excess of the $402,940, $250,000, and $284,900 you'd have to pay for the base Phantom, Ghost and Wraith, respectively.

Conclusion

Unique in its own right, the Suhail Collection doesn't fall far from what Rolls-Royce's Bespoke division has created throughout 2014. However, what sets it apart from other Bespoke recipes is its availability across the entire Rolls-Royce lineup. It's the first time that the Bespoke touch is offered on more than just one model and an important step that rounds off a remarkable year that saw a host of Bespoke models being launched in key markets around the world. 2014 was arguably the most important year for Rolls' customizing division, and the Suhail Collection signals there's more to come starting 2015.
