It’s been a few years since Spada released their Codatronca TS, but the now famous Italian car designer is back with an open top version of their supercar. The new model is called the Monza and will be making its grand debut at this year’s Top Marques Monaco.

The Spada Codatronca Monza will more than likely feature the same V8 engine found in its older brother, the Codatronca TS. The TS was going to be offered in three different variants; a TS "Sport Tourism" with 512 HP engine, a TSV "Fast Sport Tourism" with 513 HP, and a TSS "Sport Super Tourism" with 700 HP. The TSS "Sport Super Tourism" was even capable of a 211mph top speed, unfortunately, it never saw the light of production day. The only variant that successfully stomped across the production line was the tamer of the three - the TS - which brought in $425,000 per unit. It is rumored that the Monza version will feature a larger power output than that of the TS, with a probable 630 hp at 6500 rpm and 492 lbs-ft at 4800 rpm.

UPDATE 07/11/2011: We’ve finally unearthed the official engine spec of the Codatronca Monza, one that features a supercharged 7.0-liter V8 engine with 710 horsepower and 701 lb/ft of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission, allowing the car to hit 0-62 mph in three seonds with a top speed of 208 mph. After unveiling the Codatronca Monza at the Top Marques Monaco, Spada has also released a new picture gallery of their latest 720 HP supercar. Enjoy!

UPDATE 11/14/2011: YouTube member, Marchettino, was lucky enough to capture the Spada Contronca as it makes it way around a track. The best part of the video is the soothing the engine sounds and the up close and personal shots of the sports car itself. Enjoy!

I am hoping that Spada won’t stay it as a concept only because car lovers will surely be looking forward to seeing this soon on the market! smiley Anyway, I have to agree that the angst and aggressiveness of it, are very noticeable to this one.

The feature of Monza is so unique to a sports roadster like this. It was oozing with angst on that, and I’m glad that they justify the aggressive looks of it by using an impressive engine on it.

It looks like a powerful vehicle! smiley Well, I hope that they would give to justify the aggressive looks of it by giving a great engine output on it. Anyway, I’m so impressed with the angst of its design.

This one is truly a head turner, but if I’m going to have this spada I think I would rather display it only on the garage than to drive this. Anyway, I noticed that it is quite expensive, which is so confusing.

Spada Codatronca Monza is looking so awful on its platform design, but I mean it in a positive way. In fact, I’m really so impressed with its aggressiveness and for being unique! smiley I just only hope that it had an awesome speed.

I don’t think that it looks like Lamborghini vehicle. Anyway, it looks unique on its platform and most especially on its front design. Furthermore, I’m so impressed on its engine output.

I notice that the front of the car is just like the Lamborghini cars. Well, it has an impressive look, and I hope they could unveil this one as soon as possible, and I really want to see this on track.

I’m not impressed with the design of the Monza. I don’t really understand why they designed the windshield like that, but I must say that I love the elegant color that they used for Monza.

The Spada cars are just like the Lamborghini because of its front design. I think they get that concept from Lamborghini, since we all know that Lamborghini has that signature design. On the other hand, It’s like Batman’s car without a roof.

It’s been a long time since I heard about Spada. They now came back to enter the car world. For me, the car is cool. It looks like a toy car with the pictures.

The first thing I noticed on this one is its windshield... Why did they design this car that
way? For me, it doesn’t make any sense at all.

Yay! No way that I would consider to buy this car, not even I imagine myself driving around with this car. With the price tag I could actually bought an Aventador!I don’t want to see this car in the road they just hurt my eyes!

Is this is the Predator Xtreme? The disastrous collaboration of Enzo, Reventon, F1 and G35? Hell, its front reminds me of the Enzo and its interior is similar with the Lambo! However, the good thing that was it has an impressive speed performance, the boost power output of this car seems incredible though its kind of over price.

$425,000 for this car? I think my eyebrow has raised for that one!Heck!I could actually buy two Aventador in that money and at least I have a good looking sportscar!

I think it would be a bad idea to released a car with the aesthetic like this. IMO, the details in the exterior is kind of bloat loaded. The only good about this car is the wheel and the interior. But hello! This is not the only factor for a car to sell.

  (401) posted on 05.9.2011

This is my first time hearing about this car manufacturer. And I think its so ambitious for them to price this car in half million! Hey! I could actually buy the Bugatti EB110 with that price tag! And I bet EB110 performs better than this car.

  (677) posted on 04.26.2011

IMO, the front makes the whole car looks so hideous but I think the overall design is quite good as well as the power performance.

yeah, same here I don’t like the body detailing of this car though I actually love those wheels plus the red paint job.

  (570) posted on 04.12.2011

Aesthetically, it looks hideous! There are lot of better car with the same concept that is out in the market! I will never waste my money here!

hmm. I don’t like the front hood of this car! And I can’t figure out but i think i have seen that platform!BTW, those rocket style in the back, i think the Porsche GT3 has the same thing also.
