Subaru has unveiled the 2022 fifth-gen WRX that’s underpinned on the new Global platform
Exterior Front:
It comes with the signature hexagonal grille, LED lights, and a hood scoop up front
Exterior Side:
It rides on either 17- or 18-inch wheels depending on the trim, wrapped in summer performance tires
Exterior Rear:
A low-profile rear spoiler is offered in the same shade as the body color
Aerodynamics:
It comes with air outlets at the edge of the front wheels, sides of the rear bumper, and aero textures on wheel arches, lower trims, and engine undercover
Interior:
Subaru has offered an all-black interior with contrast red stitching and carbon fiber pattern accents, and flat-bottom steering wheel
Interior Features:
Some of the stuff offered inside includes an 11.6-inch touchscreen system, 11-speaker sound system, rear-view camera, etc.
New GT Trim:
New top-GT trim includes electronically controlled dampers, Recaro front seats, 18-inch wheels, etc.
Drivetrain:
The 2022 WRX is powered by a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine that makes 271 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque
Transmission:
Can be had with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT with an eight-speed manual mode
Pricing:
Expected to start around $30,000 and go north of $45,000
