Bugatti Just Teased a New Supercar - is it the Galibier or a new SUV?
Bugatti doesn’t release many teasers, but that’s mostly because it doesn’t release many cars either. So when the French company posts a photo of a wrapped-up, shadowy car, it’s a big deal. Bugatti just did that on its Instagram profile, hinting that it may introduce a new supercar really soon. But is it new as in brand-new or just a different version of the current Chiron? Let’s find out.
Lamborghini adds Amazon Alexa to Huracan Evo at CES
The 2020 Consumer Electronics Show just kicked off and Lamborghini came to Las Vegas to show off new tech for the Huracan Evo. On top of releasing an updated rear-wheel drive version to replace the old LP 580-2, Lambo added Amazon Alexa to the supercar’s list of features. This is big news as it’s Alexa’s first venture into the supercar market. Also, Lamborghini programmed the voice assistant directly into the infotainment system rather than adding it as a third-party app.
Lamborghini Wants to Rewrite the Book on Electrification and the Sian FKP 37 Was the First Chapter
Lamborghini has slowly been dipping its toes in the ocean that is electrification, but so far, it has yet to go beyond knee-deep. The 2017 Terzo Millennio Concept car previewed Lambo’s future electrification technology, and the new Sian FKP 37 is only a hybrid because Lamborghini was able to develop a small supercapacitor that made hybridization possible without compromising the traditional Lamborghini driving experience. However, this technology is far from ready to be adopted into Lamborghini’s lineup full time, at least not to the extent that the company can create full-fledged series-production hybrid cars. So, Lamborghini needs to rewrite the book on electrification and hybridization – here’s how it plans to do it.
2019 Lamborghini Huracan Evo
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo is the mid-cycle facelift of the company’s entry-level supercar. Although it’s described as a new-generation model, it’s exactly what the name says, an evolution of the nameplate. It was introduced in early 2019, almost five years after the Huracan went into production.
Design-wise, the Evo is based on the higher performance Huracan Performante. It features more aggressive front and rear ends, as well as a bespoke set of wheels. Inside the cabin, there’s an infotainment system with a big touchscreen, while motivation comes from the beefed-up engine from the Performante. While it won’t set a new Nurburgring record, the Evo is notably quicker than its predecessor. Let’s find out more about that in the review below.

I know what you’re probably thinking: “How the hell can sales remain steady for a model that hasn’t been produced in almost a decade?” Well, it’s true. In fact, Lexus sold a total of 3 brand-new LFAs in 2019, one more than in 2018 and even with what it sold in 2017. Technically, if you compare 2019 to 2018, it’s a sales increase of 33.3-percent – not bad for a car that hasn’t been produced in eight years, right?

It’s been 25 years since Jaguar discontinued its last supercar, the great XJ220 amid poor sales at a time when people really weren’t eager to buy $1 million mid-engined monsters. Nowadays, there are more millionaires than ever in the world and Jaguar, while focusing on expanding its EV lineup, could be planning a shock return to the world of high-performance supercars with something inspired by the jaw-dropping and all-electric Vision Gran Turismo presented late last month. This may well become the halo car for a new era of the Leaping Cat.
2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale
Ferrari dropped the bomb. The biggest that has ever fallen on the car world scene. It is the plug-in hybrid Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a production car that is more powerful and quicker than the LaFerrari itself. Inspired by none other than the F1 car, the new Ferrari SF90 Stradale became the Ferrari-first plug-in hybrid with a propulsion technology consisting of three electric motors and an overpowered V-8. Aptly named after the Scuderia Ferrari’s 90th anniversary and, coincidentally, the 2019 Ferrari F1 car, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the closest to a Ferrari F1 car you can experience on public roads.
Ferrari unveiled the car at a special event where Ferrari F1 drivers Sebastien Vettel and Charles Leclerc drove two SF90 Stradale cars onto the scene.
Disclosure: this is not the Ferrari LaFerrari successor. It is a whole new car that does not follow the F40, F50, Enzo, and the LaFerrari lineage. In fact, it is far less expensive compared to any of them. Nevertheless, it is much quicker too.
2019 SSC Tuatara
Originally unveiled in 2011 as a concept car, the SSC Tuatara has finally evolved into a production car. It was shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2018, and it promises to be faster and more powerful than its predecessor, the Ultimate Aero.
Established in 1999, SSC North America, formerly known as Shelby SuperCars Inc., took the supercar market by surprise when it established a new world speed record for production cars with the Ultimate Aero in 2007. Driven to a top speed of 256.18 mph, the Aero surpassed the Bugatti Veyron’s 253.7-mph benchmark. The French firm regained its record three years later with Super Sport, which hit a certified top speed of 267.81 mph.
Eight years have passed since then, and the speed record is now being held by the Koenigsegg Agera RS at 277.9 mph, but SSC promises to move the benchmark into 300-mph territory with the Tuatara. Let’s find out more about that in the review below.

In other words, as technology evolved and improved over time, carmakers were able to build lighter cars, better engines, and more aerodynamic body kits. That’s how we got a whole new breed of go-fast demons: the hypercar (thanks, Bugatti!). But just how big of a difference is there between a modern-day sports car and a supercar? Well, this question has found its answer as an Alfa Romeo 4C went against the likes of Ferrari 488 Pista and McLaren 600LT.
Lamborghini’s True Christmas Story for 2019 is a Real TearJerker
Back in October 2019, we brought you a story about a father and son that loved the Lamborghini brand and the Aventador so much that they decided to build their own. Long story short, the two worked tirelessly, 3D printing parts, and a little bit of help from a GM-sourced LS1 V-8 engine. Make no mistake, it’s not a Lamborghini Aventador at heart, but for something built in the home garage, it’s a pretty damn good replica.
Well, that was the last we heard about the 3D-printed Aventador replica, but thanks to our reporting (and the reporting of other outlets like ours,) Lambo got word of this replica and decided to do something about it. Fortunately, the brass at Lambo have a heart and gave this father and son duo a Christmas gift they never expected, and the fulfillment of a life-long dream neither thought they would ever see.
One day, the duo walked out to the garage to get to work, only to find that their 3D printed car had been replaced by a real, true-to-life Lamborghini Aventador S. To the best of our knowledge, the father and son don’t get to keep the car, but Lamborghini sure did let them drive it for a few days and that, my friends, is what separates Lamborghini from other exotic car brands like Ferrari. 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo
The 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo is an entry-level supercar that the Maranello-based company launched in 2019. The F8 Tributo replaced the 488 GTB, introduced in 2015, but it’s essentially a mid-cycle upgrade and not a brand-new car. The supercar replaces the 488 GTB in the same way that the 812 Superfast and GTC4Lusso replaced the F12berlinetta and FF, respectively, with the facelift accompanied by a nameplate change.
The upgrade is rather significant as far as design goes. Not only sporting new features front and rear, but the F8 Tributo also boasts more aggressive aerodynamics, which are based on the track-ready 488 Pista. The F8 also shares underpinnings with the Pista and generates the same 710 horsepower. The F8 Tributo arrives just in time for the facelifted Lamborghini Huracan Evo and the relatively new McLaren 720S. Let’s find out how they compare.
