Genesis Just Revealed A Brutal Competitor for the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC
Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand, now offers three sedans, with sizes ranging from compact to full-size. The Korean brand is adopting a similar strategy to its SUV lineup, which will include two more models in addition to the GV80 midsize. Next on the list is the GV70, and Genesis just unveiled a camouflaged version in its home country. Slotted below the GV80, the GV70 will compete in the premium compact market against crossovers like the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Buick’s Future Is Looking Pretty Bright Thanks to the Electra Concept
Although General Motors is selling a couple of electric cars, none of them are coming into showrooms with a Buick badge. But this will change soon because Buick just unveiled an all-electric concept that previews at least one production model. It’s called the Electra, a name Buick used on an iconic full-size car produced from 1959 to 1990, which means it’s a very important project for the brand. Unveiled in Shanghai, it’s developed by GM’s Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center in China, it debuts a new design language, and features an advanced battery system called Ultium.
This Chevy Silverado Limo Seems Too Good To Be True
I’m quite sure that the majority of the people find pickup trucks to be rather spacious and few will complain about them being congested or stuffed or anything like that. But, this particular truck owner wanted something larger than life and the end result seems too good to be true.
The point in case here is a Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Dually that has been turned into a seven-door limo that can perhaps accommodate all of Colorado! The truck features a lot of other changes, and is now up for sale. Off-topic, but is there a way to know if this stretched Silverado is visible from the moon?
2021 Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule
Lamborghini is far from a subtle automaker. None of its models can fly under the radar, and even if you ask for a toned-down color, a Lamborghini will still stand out from the pack because, well, it’s a Lamborghini. Of course, that’s not going to stop the Italian automaker from rolling out a new options package for the Urus that’ll supposedly succeed in toning down the SUV’s looks.
The new options package is called Graphite Capsule, and it includes four new exterior paint colors, neon highlights in the body and interior, and an assortment of other visual highlights. Opt for the Graphite Capsule package on your 2021 Lamborghini Urus and you stand to pay at least $218,009. That’s a healthy increase — more than $15,000 — from the price of a 2020 Urus. Then again, you are still paying for a Lamborghini. Those are expensive last we checked.
This Trivial Complaint About the Ford Bronco Confirms How Entitled People Are In 2020
Air conditioning is not a ‘feature’ in cars anymore. It’s available from the entry-level cars to the most expensive ones. The only thing that differs in cars across the range is the availability of rear A/C vents, automatic climate zone, multiple-zone control, etc.
When Ford launched the Bronco, one such feature that didn’t made the cut was the conventional rear A/C vents as seen in other cars. Although it didn’t seem like a deal-breaker considering its niche, some people have been nitpicking this feature to a point where Ford had to address the “issue” and shed some light on it. This goes on to show how entitled people are these days.
2021 Range Rover Velar Plug-In Hybrid
Range Rover has refreshed the Velar for the 2021 model. While the changes on the outside are limited, the cabin comes with some new additions. The biggest update is under the hood as 2021 Velar now comes with mild and plug-in hybrid technology. The plug-in hybrid model offers up to 33 miles of electric range. With this, now the complete Range Rover lineup is electrified. The company hasn’t been at the forefront of electrification, but it doesn’t lag either. So, will the new Velar’s efficient, plug-in model become the best-selling model in the lineup?
2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition
To commemorate the brand’s eight-decade existence, Jeep has introduced the “80th Anniversary Edition” for six of its vehicles - the Wrangler, Gladiator, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Compass, and the Renegade. While most of the changes are cosmetic, some come with a few new features. On the Wrangler, the special edition package is available for both two- and four-door models.
GM Could Be Teasing Cadillac’s Next Large EV
General Motors has posted a very interesting and, uhm, sharp….. sketch to its Instagram account depicting what is clearly a Cadillac and what could be a larger SUV or, perhaps, even a pickup truck. But, see, that’s the real tease, as GM has posted this baby with absolutely no context outside of the words “lean & mean” – at least 50-percent of which doesn’t make sense.
2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Autobiography by Kahn Automobiles
English aftermarket company, Kahn Automobiles, is known to create ravishing examples of stock vehicles. The company has been doing it for years, and the latest model to roll out is the Land Rover Range Rover Sport Autobiography. This black beauty receives a whole lot of new equipment on the outside to make it look sportier than it already is. The example here is a 2018 pre-worshipped model and has 9,000 miles on the odometer. The asking price breaches the six-digit mark when converted to USD. Worth it?
Nissan Is Considering a Z SUV Because Why Not
The Nissan Z Proto’s arrival has thrust Nissan straight to the headlines, and as speculation continues to grow on what kind of next-generation Z sports car is going to come out of the concept vehicle, word has it that Nissan isn’t going to stop with just a new Z sports car.
Ivan Espinosa, Nissan’s Senior VP for Global Product Planning, admitted during a recent media event that a Z SUV (or crossover) is something that Nissan is currently exploring. Espinoza stopped short of confirming anything, but the fact that it’s even in consideration speaks to the lengths that Nissan will go to in order to maximize the strength and appeal of its Z brand. Given the company’s current financial struggles, a Z SUV doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
Ford Adds The Sasquatch Package To Models With Seven-speed Manual Transmission
After what was a rather dumb move on Ford’s part, the company has officially confirmed that it will be offering the seven-speed manual gearbox with the Sasquatch Package. When the company announced this off-road package, it checked all the boxes and made even the lower trims off-road worthy. But, the only thing missing was the manual gearbox, and it didn’t go down well with potential customers. Fortunately, Ford heard them and decided to offer it before it was too late. We’re happy now.
VinFast President: An Old BMW X5 With a GM V-8 That’s Built In Vietnam
VinFast sounds more like an app of sorts that lets you check a car’s service history by introducing its VIN and getting details on when, where, and why it was repaired. However, VinFast is Vietnam’s only domestic car brand, which became independent in 2018, after it bought GM’s remaining operations in Vietnam.
At the helm of the company sits CEO Jim DeLuca, who also happens to be a former General Motors employee, but the owner is Vietnam’s richest man.
Why are we telling you all this? Well, VinFast just introduced its first SUV, a hot-rodded luxo-barge called the President, that’s based on the F15-gen BMW X5.
