Toyota Tacoma Gets Updated For 2023, Receives New SR5 SX and Chrome Packages
Toyota has updated its pickup trucks, the Tundra and the Tacoma, for the 2023 model year. There isn’t much done to the trucks per se, but the automaker has introduced packages for both of them. For the Tacoma, Toyota is offering two packages – the Chrome Package and the SX Package. Both of these are offered only on the SR5 grade. The other addition is the Solar Octane exterior shade for the TRD Pro. Will these additions be enough for the Tacoma to retain its number 1 spot in the midsize pickup truck segment?
This Is How The Second-Gen Range Rover Sport Stacks Up Against Its New, Third-Gen Avatar
The all-new 2023 Range Rover Sport finally broke cover a couple of days ago. After what was close to a decade in service, the old Sport was really in need of a complete overhaul and that is exactly what this third-gen model promises to be. An all-new Sport from the ground up.
The Ferrari Purosangue Might Have a Dirty Secret
While automakers like BMW and Mercedes are downsizing their engine offerings in models like the 7 Series and even the Mercedes-AMG C43, super high-end automakers are instead using electrification to keep their legendary ICEs alive. Lamborghini has already announced a new hybrid V-12 while Bugatti has something big in the works for its next-gen supercars. Now, against all rhyme and reasoning in a time when downsizing and electrification are the key to survival, Ferrari has teased a new V-12 engine that will make its way into a “game-changing” model this summer. Now, folks, the writing is on the wall.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Will Be Old By The Time The Tesla Cybertruck Arrives
You might be wondering why a truck, that debuted almost a year ago, is being launched once again? Well, that’s because Ford showcased the truck on May 19, 2021, but the series production is all set to begin today (26th April). We pretty much know everything there is to know about the F-150 Lightning and its work-truck version, the F-150 Lightning Pro. But, this time, Ford has released the images of the truck at the company’s new Rouge Electric Vehicle Center.
2022 Ford F-150 Lightning
Ford debuted the F-150 Lightning in 2021, and the electric truck checks almost all the boxes and can be considered as the first mainstream electric pickup truck for the masses. There are a lot of electric trucks launched in recent years, like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Rivian R1T, the Lordstown Endurance, the Bollinger B2, etc. But, none of them offer the all-round capability that the F-150 Lightning does.
The Ford truck comes with all the bells and whistles one can ask for, and then some more. For now, Ford has launched it in one body style and three basic trims plus an exclusive work truck model, but expect it to grow in the coming years. With all the subsidies and credits, the F-150 Lightning works out to be the cheapest full-size truck in the market today! (more on this in the ‘Pricing’ section). From the looks of it, the F-150 Lightning seems to be an all-rounder that offers good power outputs, decent range, and a lot of tech features. Do you think it will be a runaway success, or will the loyalists look around at other trucks?
Look Who’s Back!! The County Sheriff Wants A Piece Of The C7 Corvette Z06
The Jefferson County Sheriff is back with the trusty old Explorer, this time taking on the mental C7 Z06. Granted it’s not the latest C8 Z06, but, the previous iteration is no slouch either. Now, this isn’t the first time that we’ve seen the Jefferson County Police Cruiser at the Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado.
Wheels has previously featured it in a bunch of videos taking on cars like the Nissan R35 GT-R, the Tesla Model Y, a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500,, and a Chevy Camaro ZL1. Heck, it even went up against a Quad bike.
2023 Alpina XB7 – What to Expect in 2023
BMW just launched the updated X7 with a new design, updated iDrive 8 infotainment system, and a new hybrid assist system that increases efficiency across the board and supplies a boost of power to the entry-level xDrive 40i. These updates will also carry over to the Alpina XB7 as well, the highlight of which will be an impressive increase in horsepower that will be enough to put the XB7 at the top of the hierarchy.
Jeep Has Stretched The Wagoneer and The Grand Wagoneer And Fitted Them With Brand-New Engines!
Jeep introduced the Wagoneer concept back in September 2020 and released the production-spec SUV in 2021. It was branched out into two avatars – the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer. Fast forward to the present day, the automaker has decided to come up with stretched versions of both these vehicles with the ‘L’ suffix added to them. It seems to be a tried-and-tested method since Jeep did the same with the Grand Cherokee L as well. But, what makes the L versions of the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer even more special is that they come with the automaker’s new ‘Hurricane’ engine!
2022 BMW X4 M - Driven
“Look at me,” the X4 M Competition screams as it rolls down the city streets, through parking lots, or just about anywhere cars and people come together. Based on the best-selling BMW X3, the X4 is so interesting and quirky because it ditches the X3’s “normal” roofline for something that is more coupe-inspired. It features the same twin-turbo inline-six found in the M3 and M4, which is why the X4 M is the highest-performing coupe-SUV in the compact segment. That doesn’t mean it’s not without some stout competition, though. Mercedes has the AMG GLC 63 Coupe in its stable, while Porsche has the Macan GTS. The X4 M was updated for the 2022 model year, though, which was quite a surprise since it was launched back in 2019 for the 2020 model year. BMW claims that it has taken customer feedback into consideration, but is it all smoke and mirrors? We spent a week with the updated 2022 BMW X4 M Competition to find out for ourselves.
Watch A Ford Transit, A Mercedes Vito, and A Volkswagen Transporter Engage In Tugs-of-War
In its essence, vans are nothing more than people and luggage haulers. They are the bare minimum, utility vehicles that are, in most cases, a non-aspiration purchase. People wouldn’t buy them solely to go on long drives or to fulfill their adrenaline cravings. But, the ‘Carwow’ team decided to take three vans out of their comfort zone. Drag race? No no. They indulged the trucks in a tug-of-war to see which one can pull the best. I don’t know who even bothered to come up with such a van-dalizing idea, but he or she sure deserves a raise!
The Lotus Eletre Will Be the Heaviest Vehicle in Company History
Lotus recently launched the all-new Eletre SUV, a model that’s been criticized for looking a bit too much like the Lamborghini Urus – or an evolution of it. There’s also some criticism around its billing as the “world’s first hyper SUV” when it doesn’t exactly post hypercar-like power or top speed, the latter of which comes in at 161 mph, by the way. 100 km/h or 62.1 mph is said to come in less than three seconds, but as of today, power output has only been disclosed at “from 600 horsepower.” Hyper SUV? Doesn’t seem like it, but that could just be consequential as a pair of new reports expose not only the Eletre’s weight but what else Lotus has planned for its future.
This Ford F-250 Pickup Stretches Its Legs On An Unrestricted German Autobahn With No Speed Limits
In their latest video, AutoTopNL took a Ford F-250 Super Duty to its top speed on an unrestricted section of Autobahn in Germany. Now, this isn’t the first time that a pickup has appeared on their channel.
The F-150 Raptor and the Ranger Raptor have also been previously featured. However, only the RAM 1500 had been previously let loose on the Autobahn, until now. Let’s see how the Super Duty gets to its top speed.
If The H1 Wasn’t Already Big Enough, This HUMVEE Has Taken Things To A Whole New Level
What you’re looking at, folks, is the world’s biggest Humvee. Based on the old civilian version of the M998 H1, which was never a small vehicle, to begin with, this one, dubbed the H1X3, built for the famed Rainbow Sheikh in the United Arab Emirates, takes it to a whole new level; and I mean that literally.
Pickup Trucks: Can Audi Succeed Where Mercedes Failed?
The idea of a luxury-level truck isn’t anything new. Some of the range-topping models from the Ford F-Series and the Chevy Silverado range certainly hit close to that border. Mercedes even tried to give it a go with the X-Class, but the approach was super lazy (it was basically a Nissan Navara with Mercedes emblems). Now, it looks like Audi is at least considering the idea of dipping its toes into the pool. Could it be that Audi doesn’t only want to pick up were Mercedes failed but actually compete with higher-range models of the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux? Well, this isn’t just some random rumor, and the concept is coming from someone with a lot of influence within the walls of Audi.
