The 2006 Suzuki Forenza receives a new front fascia design featuring a new Suzuki family grille similar to other Suzuki models, new flush wheel covers and an upgraded emissions system for more efficient diagnostic capability. The Forenza is offered as a well-equipped Base version or the Premium which includes fog lights, new 15-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob, and cruise control.
The Forenza does not compete well in its class. Acceleration is slow and fuel economy just so-so. The ride is stiff and not well-controlled. Interior fit and finish is good, and the rear seat of the hatchback is roomy. A wagon version is also available. It received a Poor rating in the IIHS side-crash test.
