It’s time to take a little break from all of the Camaro and Mustang tuning projects debuting at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show to take a quick look at a different type of concept. The Suzuki Grand Vitara Marine Concept was developed by students at Ohio Technical College and is definitely something that would cathc the eyes of just about anybody. The Marine Concept is based on a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara and uses a unique convertible design, a cool exterior paint scheme, a Suzuki outboard motor, and over-sized chrome wheels wrapped in toyo off-road tires.

As if those features weren’t enough, the Marine Concept also includes a bull bar bumper with a winch, bar side steps, a hood scoop, a shaved door handle kit, LED underbody and headlights, a Hydro cell provided by Hydro Fuel 2 Go, and chrome exhaust tips. Adding to the oceanic design is an ocean liner horn and a surfboard rear view mirror, while technological additions include a DVD headrest entertainment system, a backup camera, and hydrogen generator electronics provided by Square One Energy.

"The Grand Vitara Marine Concept exemplifies the unique combination of passion and innovation, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the finished product," said Jeff Holland, director of public relations and social media, American Suzuki. "It was a pleasure working with the students at Ohio Technical College, and we hope this motivates other groups to creatively express themselves and the passion they have for Suzuki and the automotive industry."

Marine? Seriously, it’s fit for a mild military use too.

The front grille shows how tough this concept is.

If I have this I maybe rush on the muddy and extreme roads to feel its intensity.

Its front grille seems enough to be trusted of security. Aside from that, it has other features that help ensure the safety too.

It’s like a resurrection of Lancia Stratos; most of the features are alike.

Aside from a muscle car, this would also be a nice rally car. The front grille is clearly very reassuring of security.

This concept reminds me of the Lancia Stratos way back, because of the details from its bumpers and foglamps.

The car wave and surfboard design was not that spectacular. The graphic artist should improve his art to make it more appealing and realistic.

This vehicle makes me drive to an off-road course to feel it’s intensity. This jeep has a great skin. The wheel is great.

I hope that they will use an impressive engine for this awesome concept of them. Anyway, I have to agree that it really looks so cool with its graphic design, and I love the massive appearance of it.

This Marine concept is really looking very massive on its platform and most specially on its wheels, and I also noticed that it looks unique on its graphic design, which is so attractive on it.

Sorry to say, but for me, the graphic design that this concept had, is only gives the messy looks on it. Maybe, it is better if they use a simple design than this.

I love the unique combination of this concept, which is the passion and innovation! Well, it is really so striking on that, and I love the technologies that they add on this truck.

This one is very artistic in its exterior design, and I have to agree that it looks so masculine on its platform and most especially on its wheels. I only hope that they used an impressive engine as well for this.

This Marine concept of Suzuki is absolutely very striking because on its artistic design, and I have to agree that it looks so massive on its wheels. I am only hoping that they will use an impressive engine as well as on its looks.

It looks so massive on its platform and most especially on its wheels, but I must also say that I’m not so impressed with its exterior design, it looks very nasty on that, and I wonder if what will be the engine and horsepower of this one.
