Carbon tastiness and turbos make for one very quick domestic

The Demon is one scorcher of a muscle car, running the quarter mile in an incredible 9.65 seconds at 140 mph right out of the box. But, as is often the case, some folks always want more, and thus we have this tuned carbon fiber example that adds more power and slashes the quarter run into the 8’s.

More Power, More Better

The Demon before you was summoned by SpeedKore Performance Group, a tuner based out of Grafton, Wisconsin, which decided to build this insane Dodge for their booth at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The heart of the matter is a freshly updated engine package, which includes a shiny new pair of turbos, rather than the stock Demon’s supercharger.

Output is now rated at an astonishing 1,400 horsepower at the flywheel, which translates to 1,203 horsepower at the rear wheels.

Complementary upgrades include added lightness with a full carbon fiber body replacement, which certainly helps it put all that muscle to good use. Check out the build in the above YouTube video for some insight into how it was put together.

Unleashed on the 1320, the Demon now rampages through the traps at 161 mph with an ET of 8.77 seconds, slashing nearly a full second from the stocker’s times. Assisting in the record run was pro NHRA Top Fuel pilot Leah Pritchett, who takes the helm in the above Instagram video post.

Indeed, seeing this thing blast its way through the quarter is might impressive indeed. Guess internal combustion still has a few tricks up its sleeves…

Breaking more records! @leahpritchett_tf just ran a 8.77 @ 161 mph in a Dodge Demon. @leahpritchett_tf @diablosportllc @drag_ontuning @gearheadfabrications @speedkore01
