Forza Horizon 4 is one of the best car racing games you can play in any gaming console. Since becoming a part of the massive Forza video game franchise, the Horizon series of games has provided gamers with an immersive, arcade-style gaming experience that puts you on the open road. Of course, any road — real or virtual — isn’t worth much without the cars that run roughshod over them.

On that end, Forza Horizon 4’s collection of over 450 cars is a list that runs as long as a grocery list these days. That list includes some of the fastest cars you’ll ever get to drive. It’s a list that’s as impressive as it sounds, and if you’re ranking all the cars based on which is the fastest, these ten models stand out from the rest of the game’s vast automotive library.

Bugatti Chiron

There’s no denying that the Bugatti Chiron is one of the fastest cars in the world. The all-world super sports car boasts incredible power and performance figures, backed largely by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W-16 engine that produces an astounding 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. These figures allow the Chiron to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds on its way to a top speed that reaches 261 mph. The latter is Bugatti’s claimed time, but, in reality, the Chiron is capable of pulling off higher top speeds. The Longtail-spec, in particular, managed to hit an unimaginable 304.77 mph, becoming the fastest production car in the world.

The Chiron’s power and performance figures translate into the world of Forza Horizon 4. Even better, there are actually two versions of the Chiron that are available in Forza Horizon 4. There’s the real Chiron, and there’s the LEGO version that was added into the game as part of the LEGO Speed Champions pack that became available in February 2020.

Pagani Zonda Cinque

There are only five Pagani Zonda Cinque models in the world. It’s one of the rarest supercars you’ll see in Forza Horizon 4. It just so happens, too, that since Forza Horizon 4 is a video game, there are no limits to how many Zonda Cinque models you can buy in the game. You can own one. You can own five. Heck, if you’ve saved up enough money, you can fill your entire garage with enough Zonda Cinque models to make Jay Leno green with envy.

Of course, owning a Zonda Cinque in Forza Horizon 4 means that you don’t store it in a garage. You let it out of its cage so it can unleash its limitless fury in the open road. That’s enough power to propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds before peaking at a top speed of 221 mph. None of us need to be reminded about the power and performance capabilities of the Zonda Cinque, especially in the world of Forza Horizon 4.

Any game that touts an expansive list of performance cars should have a Koenigsegg — or two — in the mix. Fortunately, you won’t have to look very far to find a Koenigsegg in Forza Horizon 4. The mighty Agera is available in the game, and it comes with everything we love about the hypercar. That includes a power-packed 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that produces 947 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. Don’t try to beat around the bush when you’re competing against a Koenigsegg Agera in the game. Underestimate its abilities, and you’ll get smoked faster than you can say, “what just happened?”

Those performance figures are just baseline numbers, too. The Agera is the only Koenigsegg in the game that comes with options for upgrades. Think that 249-mph top speed is fast enough? Save enough money, and you can increase that figure to around 270-plus mph. That’s Forza Horizon 4, isn’t it?

Speaking of Forza Horizon 4, the other important Koenigsegg that’s available to play in Forza Horizon 4 is the Agera RS. Technically, the Agera RS is still the fastest production car in the world after hitting an average top speed of 277.87 mph on the strength of two top speed runs that included a since-broken record of 284.55 mph. The Bugatti Chiron Longtail has since shattered that record with a 304.77-mph run, but let it be said, the Agera RS is still one of the fastest cars in the world, real or virtual.

There is, however, a caveat to owning the Agera RS in the latter world. Unlike the Agera, the Agera RS is not available in Forza Horizon 4 based on the game alone. The good news is that you don’t have to spend at least $2.6 million to buy the Agera RS in Forza Horizon 4. You can either buy the DLC content for around $10 to $15, or you can buy the individual car for just $2.99.

Just because a car is close to 30 years old, that doesn’t mean it’s lost a lot of its mustard. The Bugatti EB 110 SS hasn’t been in production since 1995, and while a lot of newer and more advanced hypercars have exceeded what the EB 110 SS is capable of, the Bugatti supremo remains a problem on the road, both in the real world and the virtual one. The OG Bugatti supercar was a beast when it was launched in the early 1990s, and it remains one to this day.

When it was launched, the EB 110 SS made global headlines as much for its break from Bugatti tradition as it did for its unbridled power and performance capabilities. On the part of the latter, the EB 110 SS was powered by a 3.5-liter quad-turbocharged V-12 engine that produced 603 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The bare numbers are impressive, but in the world of Forza Horizon 4, they’re just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, at least as far as some vehicles are concerned. See, the Bugatti EB 110 SS is one of a handful of models in the game that can be custom-tuned to raise its profile. With the proper modifications and tuning setups, the Bugatti EB 110 SS can hit a top speed of 283.5 mph. “Insane” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Koenigsegg Agera RS

Speaking of OGs, if the Bugatti EB 110 SS is a part of Forza Horizon 4, then the supercar many consider to be the godfather of modern exotics should damn well be on this list, too. As such, it comes as no surprise that the McLaren F1 is also available in Forza Horizon 4. More importantly, it has a spot on this list. The F1 will forever be regarded as one of the greatest — if not the greatest — performance cars in history. Its legacy rests, not just in its reputation, but, more importantly, in the doors it opened that made it possible for a lot of today’s supercars to exist.

That’s why a game like Forza Horizon 4 would be incomplete without the McLaren F1. Forget the supercar’s numbers — it doesn’t hurt, though, to point out that were responsible for a lot of the mythology that surrounds it — and focus on its impact in the business. McLaren made a bold move in building the F1. More than 20 years after it launched, it’s still making an impact, even in the video game world of Forza Horizon 4.

If the Koenigsegg Agera and Agera RS represent the Swedish automaker’s present place in the supercar world, the CC8s represents its roots. As the automaker’s first production car, the CC8S is a legend in its own right. Only six units were built, and the model laid the foundation for what Koenigsegg would eventually become. Part of the CC8S’ appeal revolved around its 4.7-liter supercharged V-8 engine that produced 655 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Back when 655-horsepower supercars were considered the best of the best, the CC8S proved that it belonged in that conversation.

To put that in perspective, if the CC8S was launched this year, it still would’ve been one of the fastest cars in the world. Imagine what kind of damage it could do in Forza Horizon 4. Unfortunately, the CC8S is as scarce in real life as it is in Forza Horizon 4. The supercar isn’t available in the standard version of the game. It was only added as seasonal content after the game’s launch. You can’t even purchase the supercar off the game’s Autoshow setup. That means that for you to get your hands on the CC8, you either have to wait for Playground Games to bring it back as a seasonal reward or you have to purchase it through the game’s Auction House. Prepare to spend a lot of money if you want to get your hands on the CC8S now.

You have to wonder if the people over at Playground Games started getting a little too ambitious when it came to adding cars in Forza Horizon 4. Sure, most of the cars in the game come with real-world specs and performance capabilities. That adds to the realism of it all. But there are a few exceptions, and none is as glaring of an exception as the Jaguar D-Type. In its stock setup, the iconic D-Type isn’t as powerful as a lot of the more recent exotics in the game.

A lot of people have suggested it’s a glitch within the game, and if that’s the case, consider it a happy and exciting one. Imagine driving a D-Type, and you’re laying waste to all the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and McLarens in the game. That’s a sight you don’t see…ever.

The Mosler MT900s is one of the few supercars in Forza Horizon 4 that doesn’t quite live up to its billing, at least when it’s driven in stock form. Sure, it comes with a Corvette ZO6-derived LS6 V-8 engine that produces 435 horsepower.

But if you really want to maximize the MT900sS’ potential in Forza Horizon 4, you’re going to have to go the tuning route to unlock that potential. You can swap the stock V-8 engine in favor of a bigger and far more powerful Lamborghini-Sourced V-12 engine and add all-wheel drive, and, suddenly, the MT900S becomes a different vehicle altogether with a top speed that can hit 300 mph.

It’s fitting that the fastest car in Forza Horizon 4 also happens to be one of the most elusive ones to own. What is surprising, though, is that this car isn’t a Bugatti, Koenigsegg, or even a Hennessey. Nope. It’s the Ferrari 599XX Evolution, the juiced-up, race-spec version of Maranello’s track-spec 599XX supercar. In the real world, the 599XX Evoluzione’s 6.0-liter V-12 engine is capable of producing 730 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It’s a Forza Horizon 4 car by any stretch of the imagination. But for some reason, the 599XX Evoluzione is Forza Horizon 4 in Forza Horizon 4. How fast, you ask? Try 323 mph, folks.

Unfortunately, owning a Ferrari 599XX Evolution is as much of a privilege in Forza Horizon 4 as it is in the real world. You don’t get gifted with the race car when you buy the game; you either have to earn it as a prize or but it off the Auction House just like the Koenigsegg CC8S. Save enough money if you must. Once you buy the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione, you’ll be the owner of the fastest car in Forza Horizon 4. It’s not even close.
