For 2010 the German automaker will offer the fresh Scirocco sports car with a new entry level engine: a 1.4 Liter TSI power plant pumping out a very economical 122 HP.
The small displacement TSI unit develops 115 HP and 147 lb-ft of torque channeled through a six speed manual gearbox.
The entry level Scirocco will accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in a rather reasonable 9.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 124 MPH.
The new Scirocco will include items like a six CD autochanger with iPod input, rain and dusk sensors, a multifunction computer, air conditioning and 17 inch Donington alloy wheels as well as a host of safety features including ABS, ESP (Electronic Stabilization Programme) and six airbags all as standard equipment.
The new Scirocco 1.4 TSI will retail for £18,860.
