2015 Volkswagen Eos Final Edition

2015 Volkswagen Eos Final Edition

The Volkswagen Eos is nearing the end of its road, with 2015 marking its final year in production. To commemorate its passing, Volkswagen is introducing a ‘Final Edition’ Eos. The new trim level replaces the drop-top’s Sport trim level and the entire Eos lineup gets some new exterior colors and interior accoutrements.

New for 2015 are ‘Flash Red’ and ‘Pure White’ exterior paint colors. Flash Red comes available only on the Komfort and Executive trims, while Pure White is available across the board.

The Final Edition trim gets all the niceties from the Sport trim it replaces. Vicenza wheels sized at 18 inches, bespoke Cornsilk Beige and black two-tone Vienna leather with contrast stitching in the cabin, along with silver net interior trim. The Final Edition also gets a rearview camera and rain-sensing windshield wipers for added safety.

The Eos has been a slow seller for Volkswagen since its introduction in 2006. The hardtop convertible only moved 4,178 units in 2013 for all of America. Even in its best year, 2008, the Eos only found homes in 12,837 driveways across the U.S.

2014 Volkswagen Eos

2014 Volkswagen Eos

If there was ever a car in Volkswagen’s lineup that probably has nine lives, it’s probably the Eos. Talks of discontinuing the model have risen to the surface numerous times and yet, here it is, alive and kicking in 2014.

The 2014 Volkswagen Eos continues on in its slot as Volkswagen’s resident entry-level convertible. Not much has changed since the current generation model arrived in 2011 and in some ways, that can be attributed as a positive for the Eos.

See, over the course of its time, the convertible has been offered with some impressive features, including a hardtop roof, comfortable seating, and yes, the option to do away with a ceiling and let your hair enjoy the cool breeze of Mother Nature.

Even its turbocharge engine can be attributed as a boon for the Eos because at the end of the day, riding a convertible is only as good as the power it has under its hood.

So welcome to 2014, Volkswagen Eos. You’ve certainly earned your stay at the party.

2010 Volkswagen Eos Exclusive

2010 Volkswagen Eos Exclusive

Last year, Volkswagen brought out a black and white schemed White Night package for the Volkswagen Eos that focused more on the aesthetics of the vehicle as opposed to the actual operation. This year, Volkswagen did more of the same by unveiling the Exclusive Package for the Eos convertible. The new Exclusive Package will be available in Europe for all the engine variants and will go on sale for prices starting at 34,350€.

The new Eos Exclusive will be distinguished by chrome radiator grille ribs and a "Volkswagen Exclusive" badge. The vehicle is dropped 15mm thanks to the sports suspension and is finished off with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels and "Samarkand" and "Veracruz" both in sterling silver finish.

On the interior it will get a two-tone sports seat system covered in nappa leather. The black is contrasted with the customer’s choice of either cinnamon or corn silk beige in the center sections and side panels.

This package doesn’t add much to the Volkswagen Eos, but then again, the car doesn’t need much added. The Eos is a nice looking car with just enough of a luxury look to it to make anyone feel comfortable and stylish while cruising around in this convertible.
