Japanese bikemakers rule the roost in the competitive middleweight sports bike segment, and it is high time someone else steps in the ring. Doing just that, Jedi Motor from China has taken the wraps off the Vision K750 sports bike, which has all the ingredients to match up with Japan’s finest. In fact, the Chinese motorcycle outdoes its Japanese counterparts - the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Honda CBR650R, and Yamaha R7 - in several aspects.

The Jedi Vision K750 Looks Sleek As A Knife

If you think you’ve heard the words Jedi and K750 before, that’s because the Chinese bikemaker presented the K750 as a concept in 2021. It made headlines with its sleek design, and this design has now trickled down to the production variant. The intricate multi-LED headlight, innovative bodywork, and razor-sharp tail have all been retained to create a futuristic aesthetic, usually uncommon in the mid-capacity sports bike space. Also oddities in this space are single-sided swingarms and see-through chassis cutouts, both of which the Jedi K750 proudly flaunts.

The premium feel extends to the cockpit too. Once aboard its 810 mm tall seat, you’re greeted by a dual texture fuel tank and a TFT instrument cluster ripe with smartphone connectivity. USB charging, keyless ignition, and all-LED lights also come standard. We can also spot a ‘mode’ switch on the left clip-on, likely present for the ride modes. All these features make the K750 better equipped than all the aforementioned Japanese motorcycles, and just a few electronic aids short on the class-leading Aprilia RS 660.

At its heart, the Jedi Vision K750 employs a 730cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 80.5 horsepower (60kW) and 70Nm (51 pound-feet). The engine transmits power via a six-speed gearbox and is good enough for a claimed top speed of 205kmph (128mph). For comparison's sake, the K750 has eight and 13 ponies more than its twin-cylinder rivals, the Yamaha R7 and Kawasaki Ninja 650, respectively.

Meanwhile, the chassis components comprise beefy upside-down forks (adjustable), a monoshock (adjustable), and 17-inch alloy wheels, all clamped to a perimeter chassis. This is topped by a potent braking package with high-spec Brembo calipers and master cylinders paired with twin 298mm disc brakes up top. All these help the K750 tip the scale at 206kg which is on par with its rivals.

The Jedi Vision K750 Might Not Come To International Markets

As capable as the Jedi K750 might seem, its chances of coming near you are rather scarce. Jedi Motor mainly operates in the Chinese market and there have been no obvious expansion plans from the bikemaker. Nevertheless, the Jedi is proof that Chinese motorcycle companies have surely upped their game. Most of the Chinese market might still comprise doppelgängers (Jedi itself has a Harley-Davidson Street Glide clone), but if you look hard enough, there are some impressive products in there just like the K750.
