Hennessey is famous for building some of the wildest off-roading machines out there. And while summer might be over with and camping season is not exactly a season anymore, the tuner just revealed the new Mammoth TRX Overland Edition - a special package based on either the Mammoth 900 or Mammoth 1000 that will dramatically expand the truck's off-road capabilities. The package is priced at just $20,000 and orders are available worldwide, but only through authorized Ram retailers or Hennessey directly.

Hennessey has designed the new Overland package for anyone looking to spend a lot of time out in the wild. Built on the Mammoth TRX, the Overland measures 228.9 inches in length, 82.1 inches in width, and 77.6 inches in height. It offers interior room for up to five adults, while the package itself adds even more equipment for the best off-road adventure travel. The package includes a new rooftop tent mounted on a robust TRX bed rack above the rear bed. It can be set up in just a few minutes, and thanks to its retractable 55-inch awning, it can provide both shade and shelter. There are also lots of other camping accessories, like auxiliary fuel tanks, pressurized water reservoir, a 28-inch splitting ax, shovel, and LED perimeter illumination.

As mentioned, the new Overland Edition can be had with either the Mammoth 900 or Mammoth 1000 versions of the Ram 1500 TRX. Both packages offer significant upgrades for the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V-8 of the TRX. The tuner installed a high-flow 2.65-liter supercharger, larger fuel injectors, and high-flow induction system, but also did some performance-boosting calibration modifications. As a result, the Mammoth 900 delivers a total of 900 horsepower and 873 pound-feet of torque, while the Mammoth 1000 has an even more impressive 1,012 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 969 pound-feet of torque at 4,200 rpm. Just for the sake of comparison, in the standard TRX, the V-8 delivers a total of 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

The Overland Edition Is Not Cheap

Hennessey priced the Overland Edition at $19,950. That might not sound like that much, but the special edition requires you to already have the Mammoth 900 or the Mammoth 1000 package, which adds another $36,950 just for the engine upgrades. After that, there is also a Stage 1 off-road enhancement package priced at $17,950, or a Stage 2 off-road enhancement package priced at $21,950. According to Hennessey, most of the customers opt for this upgrade as it adds most of the off-roading equipment. It includes custom front and rear bumpers, plus a new set of 20-inch Hennessey 10-Spoke wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires. It also includes vision-boosting LED lights, a front leveling kit, and upgraded electronic fold-out steps.
