BMW aficionados have been unhappy with the front fascia design ever since the G80 M3 and G82 M4 were introduced. In particular, they dislike the enormous kidney grille, which is out of place with the rest of the lineup. However, it seems to be a habit of the Bavarian auto giant to introduce unusual-looking models, such as the XM SUV or the latest generation 7 Series. To make things right, aerodynamic parts manufacturer, ADRO, has developed an aftermarket body kit, which adds even more panache to your G80/G82.

Don’t get us wrong, the current generation M3 and M4 look stylish, and their outlandish design has started to grow on us. However, ADRO’s solution is mind-blowing and more efficient, thanks to the broader intake ducts. ADRO replaced the front fascia in its entirety, excluding the sleek headlamps, with a new bumper that features a carbon fiber front lip, a kidney grille that is 10% shorter, and larger side vents. As a result, the front fascia now looks more aggressive than ever. However, please note that you may not like it even after the modifications because the grille size has not decreased considerably. Still, from the press photos, the front fascia is more in line with the overall style after the upgrades. If you look closely, ADRO made the M3/M4 look like the recently debuted limited edition 3.0 CSL.

Other noticeable upgrades include the addition of a carbon fiber rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and side skirts for the M4. In addition, ADRO developed a separate rear diffuser and side skirts for the M3. With the carbon fiber rear spoiler, the sportier aesthetic of the M4 just doubles up. However, the rumor has it that BMW will soon facelift the M3 and the M4. If true, there is still hope that the Bavarian carmaker will make things right this time.

The Kit Is Not Cheap BMW G82 M4 with ADRO kit

While the cosmetic upgrades may be alluring, they are relatively expensive. For example, the front bumper kit will alone cost you $3,500 while the carbon fiber front splitter will cost you another $800. But for those willing to pony up the dough, the ADRO kit will make the G80/G82 stand out in the crowd and mitigate the disappointment for those who are not fans of the stock front fascia.

ADRO’s design boss, David Lee, (who gave TopSpeed exclusive insight into his company's focus) has previously served with Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai, and he is trying his best to make ADRO a benchmark in the aftermarket business. “We had a specific goal, and that was to fix all the wrong fundamentals of this front fascia and design a front the M4 deserves," Lee said. "The M3 and the M4 are considered the king of high-performance sedans, and BMW has never missed the mark with their design throughout the history of M3/M4. From a designer’s perspective, they’ve created a ‘fundamentally’ wrong front with the latest generation of the M3/M4, and we decided it was our opportunity to fix this.”
