If you were to run a BMW M2 against a Shelby GT350, which do you think would win? Well, throttle house decided to do just that and put them through the paces on the track and in a drag race to see which one was actually better. In one corner, the BMW M2 is capable of putting out 365 horsepower and a sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, thanks to a 3.0-liter inline-six. In the other corner, we have the Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 that pumps out 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque from a 5.2-liter V-8. On paper, the Mustang should kill the M2 all day long running a cylinder down. But, it’s not always so cut and dry as you’ll see in the video below. Chrysler isn’t on the Chopping Block Yet; Fiat to Retreat, Become Euro-Only EV Brand
FCA’s investor meeting has taken place, and the official word is that Chrysler will carry on as a North-American.-only brand and Fiat will become a Euro-only EV brand. To take things even further, a company spokesperson has also said that Dodge won’t be killed off either. That’s a pretty bold move from FCA considering how unpopular Chrysler and Fiat have become here. What happens with these brands next, however, will determine whether or not they’ll continue to stick around long term.

Matt LeBlanc’s departure from Top Gear opens up arguably one of the most desirable jobs in all of television. Some of the world’s biggest celebrities have openly expressed their desire for the job. Unfortunately, it’s one thing to aspire to host the show; it’s another thing to actually sign up for it and work the schedule. If the latter wasn’t an issue, LeBlanc would still be the host of the show. But alas, his departure opens up a number of possibilities on who could fill in as his successor. We take a look at five good candidates that can do it. They’re not necessarily in the running, but they could fill the void left behind by Joey Tribbiani.
The X6 isn’t exactly the most attractive vehicle on the market. It’s more like a weird, jacked up SUV that wants to be a coupe at the same time. Of course, when BMW debuted the original back in 2012, it didn’t exactly have any real competition to go against, but we’ll leave that story for another time. Why use your technology on the roads when you can go off the beaten path?
The Bugatti Chiron is one fine piece of automotive art and now that the Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron has made its debut, it’s only fitting that we learn all about the engineering that went into the Chiron. And that’s exactly what Carfection set out to do. As a fair warning, I have to advise you that the video goes beyond the 15-minute mark, but when you use the term “everything you want to know” about one of the finest automobiles in the world, you couldn’t really expect much less. After all, the Chiron delivers 1,479 gut-wrenching horsepower from a massive 8.0-liter W-16 engine that sits all of the way in the rear. This baby can sprint to 60 in 2.5 seconds and tops out at a number that only God (and maybe Bugatti) knows. Truth be told, there’s rumors that it can go over the 300 mph mark, but Bugatti won’t try because no tire in existence today can handle such speeds without ripping to pieces.

The Petersen Museum Finally Opens Its Vast Collection of Cars to the Public
If you’re an auto fan, you should know about the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California. If you’re an auto fan, you should be over the moon that often-exclusive vault inside the museum will finally open its doors to the public today, June 1. A new exhibit, called “The World Tour Vault presented by Hagerty,” will pull the curtains on as many as 100 cars found inside the museum, giving museum-goers an opportunity to see some of the finest machinery the industry has ever built.
Armored Skoda Superb
We’ve seen bullet-proof sedans and SUVs, but how about a bullet-proof estate? Yep, Skoda has developed an armored Superb Estate, which meets the PAS 300 requirements for ballistic and blast protection. Skoda collaborated with a U.K.-based company to build this unusual estate, and it costs a bomb! (Pun intended). Is there anything else different, apart from the new, stronger body?

And, when we say full update, we mean it is all-new with a new frame, new grille, and a completely revised interior, among other things. 2018 Lister Thunder
Established in 1954 as a race car manufacturer, Lister became famous when it won the 1957 British Empire Trophy with a heavily modified Jaguar D-Type, affectionately known as the Lister Knobbly. In the 1990s, Lister launched the Storm, a V-12 coupe that was sold as both a road car and an FIA-spec race car. The company returned to the market with an anniversary version of the original Lister Knobbly in 2014, including a tribute model for Sir Stirling Moss. Come 2018 and Lister launched the Storm, a modern sports car based on the already famous Jaguar F-Type.
Just like in the good old days, Lister once again chose a Jaguar as a base for its sports. But unlike the Storm, which featured a unique body over a Jaguar drivetrain, the Thunder looks almost identical to the F-Type. The body did get a few changes, but the big news is that Lister retuned the supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8 engine to deliver in excess of 600 horsepower, a feat you can’t get from the factory.
