2019 McLaren 600LT Spider
The McLaren 600LT Spider is one of the few drop-top sports cars with barely any compromises over the coupe. It’s just 110 pounds heavier than the fixed-head version but, besides that, it offers the same 592 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque from the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. The catch? It costs almost $50,000 more than the 570S Spider that McLaren used as a starting point for the LT.
After teasing us with a video just a few days ago, McLaren finally released the official images of the mighty 600LT Spider. Again, LT stands for ’Long-Tail,’ but there is no long tail on this car to speak of, it’s merely as a pale homage to the Le Mans class-winning McLaren F1 GTR from 22 years ago. What you do get, though, is a highly competent track beast with the added benefit of being able to allow the elements to take their toll on you when the roof’s down.
If you like what you’re hearing you should rush to pre-order one because McLaren said that the production would be limited with "build slots scheduled around other Sports and Super Series models." Production is said to commence in March and will go on for a year. The only problem with the 600LT Spider is, frankly, the existence of the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider with its 710 horsepower, 568 pound-feet of torque that’s likely quicker although it also costs a lot more as well.
Cadillac Proves Performance Sedans Aren’t Dead as the 2019 CT6-V Sells Out in a Few Hours
Sedans may not be as hot as they once were, but don’t tell that to the Cadillac CT6-V. The high-performance variant of the upscale CT6 sedan sold out within hours of opening the books for preorders, proving that, at least in some cases, the demise of sedans isn’t as bad as we think it is. Cadillac opened preorders for the CT6-V on the morning of January 14. By 2:30 P.M., all 275 units that were earmarked for the U.S. market were scooped up, leaving those who didn’t act quickly enough empty-handed. The Cadillac CT6-V is expected to arrive sometime in the middle of the year at a price that starts at $89,785. Not that it matters because if you didn’t get one, it’s highly unlikely that Cadillac is going to launch a second wave of models anytime soon.
A 7:40 Nurburgring Lap Time For The Toyota Supra? Toyota Thinks It Can Be Done
The Toyota Supra has been dissected and prodded over in recent days like no debuting car in recent memory. It’s fitting, then, that the sports coupe is still generating headlines, this time regarding the possibility of a Nurburgring lap time and Toyota’s expectations on what time it can clock if it ended up doing a lap around the famous race track. Apparently, the Japanese automaker believes that the Supra could turn in a lap time of 7:40, even if it ends up running into its speed limiter on the track’s long straight. Whether Toyota actually has plans to bring the Supra to the ‘Ring is still unclear, but if it did, it should be a spectacle in it of itself, even if the incentives of actually running a lap aren’t that great.

The Ford Ranger Raptor May Come to the U.S. After All, but You’ll Be Waiting a While
Ford rolled off the last Ranger off its assembly line in the U.S. almost seven years ago. However, Ford decided to bring the nameplate back to the States for the 2019 model year and get its share back from the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado. The company also teased a Ranger Raptor that won’t be sold in the U.S., but some Sherlock Holmes’ descendants have found that the Raptor is actually coming to our shores - just not in its current generation.
Pricing for the 2019 Mercedes A-Class is In and The CLA-Class is No Longer the Cheapest Merc on U.S. Roads
Mercedes-Benz revealed the entry-level price for the new A-Class Sedan. You will be able to get it for $32,500. Go for the 4Matic and be prepared to churn out two grand more at $34,500. This is considerably more compared to the 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLA - the entry-level Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. at the time. That one managed to slip just under the $30,000 mark and was the only Mercedes-Benz to achieve so.
Long gone are those days. While the A-Class Sedan isn’t as special as the CLA, the new car definitely has some merit in the world. And, while $32,500 does not sound that bad for a new Mercedes, this price does not include the destination charge (so, add a grand on top of it) and don’t even imagine having access to all the amazing Mercedes-Benz tech found in higher-end models.

Toyota Makes a Good Business Case for Not Offering the Four-Cylinder Supra in the U.S.
As expected, the U.S.-spec Toyota Supra will arrive with just one engine. Toyota made that crystal clear at the 2019 North American International Auto Show, announcing that the U.S.-bound Supra will only be offered with a 3.0-liter, turbocharged, six-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. No other engine option will be available for the sports car, including the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that is available in Japan. Depending on the trim and tune, that engine produces 194 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque or 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If you’re not interested in the six-cylinder Supra, there is one option that you can take: buy a BMW Z4.
