Mazda Teases New SUV For Geneva

Mazda Teases New SUV For Geneva

There’s a big possibility that we could be looking at the rear-end of the next-generation Mazda CX-4

Just as everyone’s attention is focused on the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Mazda coyly dropped a teaser photo of a new crossover that will debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show this March. Without giving any hints on what this model is, Mazda looks like it’s teasing what we believe is the new CX-4. There’s no indication that this model is actually the CX-4, but the image reveals a model that looks too big to be a CX-3 and too tight to be a CX-5. Whatever it is, Mazda has said that this model will incorporate its modern Kodo design language, and, more importantly, it will be available in the U.S. at some point in the future. The 2019 Geneva Motor Show kicks off on Thursday, March 7, 2019.

The 2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia is Good News, Bad News at the Same Time

it could be the last time we hear of this Italian roadster

If you’re a fan of performance cars, the 2019 Chicago Auto Show must be really boring to you. The 2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia Is the Best-Looking Debut at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, But Is It Too Little Too Late?

The old design has aged well, but this special edition doesn’t impress

First introduced way back in 2013, the 4C was the first mass-produced Alfa Romeo vehicle for the North American market in the 21st century. And what a comeback - this thing ticks all the boxes when it comes to driving nirvana. Made from carbon fiber and aluminum, the 4C is lightweight, while the exterior dimensions are compact, which combine with the mid-engine drivetrain package to make for some seriously impressive driving dynamics. We love it, but in the six years since its debut, not much has changed, and sales have taken a hit. Now, Alfa is offering a special edition at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show that’s leaving us wondering - is it too little too late?

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350’s Infotainment System Has Countless Options and the Digital Instrument Cluster is Just as Good

Is this infotainment overkill?

We recently had a go with the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350, and suffice to say, the infotainment system is dense. There are menus upon menus to scroll through, with options offered for customization of just about every vehicle parameter imaginable - and a few we’d never dream of. Which begs the question - at what point is it all just too much?

5 Reasons the 2020 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Needs a GTI Badge ASAP

No more delays, Volkswagen!

The Jetta GLI returned to the market at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, and needless to say, it’s cooler than it has ever been. Although the previous model was nothing to sneeze at, the seventh-gen GLI is a proper four-door GTI. The only thing that bugs is that Volkswagen didn’t drop the "GLI" badge for a proper Jetta GTI name. And here’s why I think it should have.

Old versus New: How different is the 2020 Subaru Legacy to its predecessor?

Old versus New: How different is the 2020 Subaru Legacy to its predecessor?

It has been criticized by some for being way too conservative

Subaru has revealed an all-new seventh-generation 2020 Legacy sedan at the2019 Chicago auto show, but right off the bat it was criticized for playing it too safe with its design and styling. Some even say it looks nearly identical to the vehicle it’s meant to replace and while that is an overstatement, you really have to look at the fine details to be able to tell them apart.

And that’s what we’re going to do here, put the two models side by side and dissect their differences so that you don’t have to. Besides, Subaru has been doing this whole conservative, evolutionary design approach for most of the last decade now, but if you remember crazy cars like the SVX coupe from the company’s past (as well as the current BRZ), you know it wasn’t always so restrained.

In the press release that accompanied the reveal of the new model, Subaru mentioned it rides on the company’s new Subaru Global Platform it introduced in 2017, its new 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer with 260 horsepower, improved interior with extra tech and last but not least the car’s “bold design” that follows a “Dynamic x Solid” philosophy. But let’s see the two cars side by side first, then start judging them.

2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia is a final attempt from Alfa to stay relevant

2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia is a final attempt from Alfa to stay relevant

Just 15 units will hit U.S. shores and we can’t think Alfa could sell any more of these

Alfa Romeo showed up at the Chicago Auto Show with the 4C Spider Italia Edition. It’s the same 4C Alfa’s been selling in the U.S. for almost half a decade already, but the novelty is you can now have it in this nice Misano Blue Metallic paint job if you pay $5,000 more on top of the $1,595 destination tax.

The Alfa Romeo 4C was the second car Alfa Romeo brought Stateside after selling almost 100 of its wonderful 8C sports car in both coupe and roadster guise. The 4C is a much more compact version but, in true Alfa tradition, it looks really well and it drives well too. The issue is that the Italians haven’t really been all that interested in trying to refresh the car and, now, the 4C is a pretty but overpriced car that desperately needs a replacement worth of sharing the garage with the Stelvio Quadrifoglio and the Giulia Quadrifoglio.
