2018 GMC 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins
The GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins is a one-off truck that showcases custom features designed for disabled people. Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, this truck was created by Rolling Big Power, an industry leading manufacturer of aftermarket parts and Keaton “The Muscle” Hoskins from TV’s “Diesel Brothers.” It is based on the older, third-generation Sierra 3500HD Denali.
The truck was built for Jonathan Barber, who was involved in a coal-mining accident in 2017 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Fitted with a 14-inch lift suspension, this bespoke Denali truck also features a gullwing door, hydraulic chair lift, and twist-handle controls for throttle and brakes, all designed to make life easier for its disabled driver. It’s fancy on the outside and practical on the inside, but it’s also special enough to draw a lot of onlookers at the SEMA Show or other truck-specific events. In other words, it’s a handicap-accessible show rig that we don’t get to see too often.
Carfection Just Used an Apple iPhone 11 to Record a Video Review of the Ford Mustang Bullitt
Those gearheads keeping close tabs on YouTube’s top car-related content producers know that Carfection has become a benchmark when it comes to the amount of quality baked into their videos. So when CNET launched the challenge to shoot an entire car review on an iPhone 11 Pro, Carfection was happy to accept it.
The idea that smartphones have evolved to such technological heights that they can now replace specialized hardware such as professional cameras has been floating around for some time. Photographers and videographers have, on several occasions, shown that it’s more about HOW you use skill and creativity, the available surroundings, and lighting conditions than WHAT you actually use. Enter Carfection’s review of the Ford Mustang Bullitt, shot entirely on an iPhone 11 Pro - not without a few struggles, though.
2019 Maserati Gran Turismo Zeda
Maserati is ending production of the current-generation GranTurismo by rolling out the GranTurismo Zeda, a one-off creation that commemorates the model’s more-than-a-decade-long run in the market. The Maserati GranTurismo Zeda comes with a lot of exclusive touches, none more prominent than a unique paint finish that separates its aesthetics from just about every GranTurismo model that has hit the market in the last 12 years. There are currently no plans to offer the Maserati GranTurismo Zeda to the public, but a limited-production run in the future hasn’t been ruled out quite yet.
2020 Ford Mustang Jack Roush Edition by Roush Performance
The 2020 Ford Mustang Jack Roush Edition is a high-performance version of the sixth-generation Mustang designed by Roush Performance. Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, the Jack Roush Edition is more than just another beefed-up Mustang. This special-edition model celebrates the legacy of its founder, Jack Roush, who was recently inducted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Although it’s not particularly more aggressive than other Roush-made Mustangs, the Jack Roush Edition is the most powerful vehicle created by the American firm. Rated at 775 horsepower, it packs more punch than iconic Mustang nameplates like the Shelby GT500 and the Shelby Super Snake. Let’s find out more about this powerful beast in the review below.
2020 Energica Eva Ribelle
Italian EV bike builder Energica rolls into the 2020 model year with something a little different; the new Eva Ribelle. This newest offering rocks a naked-sportbike look in a bid to expand its footprint while it acts as an ambassador for the electric sector in general – a genre that’s still scrabbling for mainstream acceptance. The Eva Ribelle relies on a new 21.5 kWh powerpack to deliver an impressive range, and it comes complete with a full ride-quality electronics suite and surprisingly fast recharge capacity along with safety equipment that should make it competitive against the current smoker bikes.
Check Out This Ridiculous Ford GT40 Movie Rig from Ford V Ferrari
Making a movie like the just-released Ford vs Ferrari film requires a lot of on-track camera work, some of the creative variety. Look no further than this behind-the-scenes video posted on YouTube by Fab TV, showing what just might be one of the most unusual camera rigs you’ll ever see. That, folks, is a replica Ford GT40, except that it’s only half of the car. The other half is a giant tube-framed platform that not only supports an external driver but, more importantly, a full-blown production setup that includes multiple cameras. This is the kind of movie production razzmatazz that you can expect in 2019. It’s strange, awesome, and downright weird, all rolled into one.
The Next-Gen Porsche 718 EV Could Be More Powerful than the Current Cayman GTS; Should Arrive in 2023
Nobody has officially confirmed that the next-generation 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster will be electric or even hybrid, but a new report is saying that they could have 400 horsepower, a figure that will put them well ahead of the current Cayman GTS and pretty damn close to the 414-horsepower Cayman GT4.
2019 Toyota Avalon TRD Pro Concept
A year after unveiling a tricked-out TRD version of the Avalon, Toyota is back at it with an even more radical setup for its resident full-size four-door sedan. It’s called the Toyota Avalon TRD Pro Concept, and it’s loaded to the brim with track-spec modifications that enhance every detail of the sedan.
From aerodynamic modifications to powertrain enhancements, the Avalon TRD Pro Concept has them all. It’s a fitting homage to TRD’s 40th anniversary, though it would probably be even cooler if Toyota has plans to produce it in some capacity. For now, we can enjoy the Avalon TRD Pro Concept for what it is: a glimpse into what a full-blown, track-spec Toyota Avalon could look like if it was left in the hands of TRD. Maybe someday we can also find out what it feels like to drive.
2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Baja Forged by LGE-CTS Motorsports
One of the baddest and meanest trucks to have graced this year’s SEMA Show is this Ford F-250 Super Duty Baja Forged by LGE-CTS Motorsports, a California-based aftermarket company. There is nothing to not like about this truck. It looks vintage, it has the ‘Baja’ identity, and it has the old-school persona attached to it. The Baja Forged Super Duty is an all-in-one mobile command center, workshop, and campsite that will be utilized as a chase truck for the Baja Forged Ford Ranger that was launched by the company at last year’s SEMA Show. Such is the versatility of the truck that even Ford calls this the “Swiss army knife for the modern adventurer.” Need we say anything more about it?
Aston Martin’s $120,000 Motorcycle: the AMB 001
Aston Martin, the British luxury carmaker tipped as the "coolest brand in the world" of automotive, has announced plans to turn itself into a freak motorcycle manufacturer at the ongoing EICMA, Milan 2019. Partnering in with another legendary British manufacturer, Brough Superior (currently based in France though), Aston brings in a limited edition, track-only, 180 hp hyperbike - the AMB 001. It couldn’t get any more James-Bond-ish.
Taking on extremely rich finery, this $120,000 machine showcases the best of British motoring. An amalgam of a futuristic, nearly anime-inspired aesthetics of Astons’ as we know, and the engineering prowess of Brough Superior, who once used to make the most expensive road-going motorcycles in the world last century.
Car for Sale: Gallardo-Based 2006 Lamborghini Concept S Roadster
Lamborghini is known for making some of the world’s most dramatic supercars and this sure is one of the most dramatic modern Lambos, not least because it lacks the usual amenities such as a full-width windscreen or side windows. Built as a styling design that harkens back to the old-time-y speedsters, the Gallardo Concept S previewed a limited-edition model that never materialized. However, one running and driving example powered by the 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated 512-horsepower V-10 of the standard Gallardo does exist and you’re looking at it now. If you’ve missed out on the Concept S the first two times RM/Sotheby’s tried to sell it, it’ll be up for grabs once again in Abu Dhabi.
2020 Nissan Global Time Attack TT 370Z
Nissan unveiled a Time Attack-spec Nissan 370Z built by Z1 Motorsport in conjunction with Nissan Motorsport that is bound to take the world of time attack racing by storm. With 750 horsepower on tap thanks to a pair of Garrett turbochargers, this 370Z is one of the craziest you’ll ever see. The widebody is made entirely out of carbon fiber, the interior is bare, and, to shed even more weight, the body was acid-dipped. In other words, the guys at Nissan and Z1 Motorsport stopped at nothing in their mission to turn what many consider an outdated sports car into a record-breaking track beast.
